This is the only cemetery in Delano since it's a pretty small city, but I did notice that they started to increase the size of the cemetery also. I absolutely love the military memorial they have. It's not a huge memorial like other big cities, but I love how they acknowledge the fallen heroes and have their name on this wall so that we can be proud of our town heroes. This cemetery is well taken care of and is always clean. Flowers are thrown away from gravestones once a week, so if you place artificial flowers weekly then you have to make sure to pick them up on time or they will get tossed, unless you put fresh flowers then that's fine. They don't have a lot of shade when you visit during the hotter months, so make sure you bring an umbrella to cover up and if you plan to stay for a long time, don't forget your mats/picnic blankets to get comfortable.

After months of avoiding making calls regarding cremation for one of my twins that will be…read morestillborn at delivery, I reached out to Angels Cremation. I had the delight of speaking with Elver. Elver and I discussed my current situation. Before even continuing the conversation, Elver was extremely empathetic and compassionate which is truly a blessing as a loss parent with disenfranchised grief. He asked a few preliminary questions regarding when my Baby A had passed in utero, where I was delivering at, etc. Before I could elaborate on what I wanted, Elver explained the cost was basically the fees for the county permit and a death certificate should I choose to want one. Additionally, he gave me a brief run down as to the process which basically entails letting the hospital know who would be handling the cremation and when we would like them to pick him up and they would handle the rest. I have a friend handling all this for me upon delivery and I was able to easily relay this information to her. I am so glad Angel's is the first place I reached out to and I feel so at ease after speaking with Elver.

I arranged transportation and made the nearly hour-long drive, only to be told upon arrival that my father was not there and that I was not even on the schedule. The staff member present was kind and apologetic, and after attempting multiple calls to the main office with no answer, I was assured my father's remains would be delivered to my home the following day. It has now been over 24 hours since that promise, and I have received no communication, no update, and no explanation as to where my father is. Losing a parent is already incredibly difficult. Not knowing where their remains are--and being met with silence from the very people entrusted with their care--is deeply distressing and unacceptable. I am sharing this not out of anger, but out of concern for others who may trust this service during one of the most vulnerable times in their lives. At minimum, families deserve clear communication, accountability, and basic follow-through. I sincerely hope this situation is resolved quickly and that no other family has to experience this level of uncertainty.

They had a kitchen with large refrigerators and an ice maker which made it so convient since we were serving food at our event. The bathrooms were large and very clean.
