The woman taking our order was delightful -- and did a great job explaining the offerings. It has a terrifically interesting menu, so it wasn't easy. My husband and I decided to 1) begin with a lemon poppyseed scone that the lovely server told us were made that morning; and then 2) chose one savory item from the menu and one sweet -- to then share it all. So glad we did all of the above. I chose the the hash brown omelette, topped with eggs over medium; spouse chose the strawberry brioche french toast. Oh my goodness!!! This was fine dining restaurant quality. Every bite was beyond our wildest expectations. I'd be there every day if it was any closer!!! Can't wait to get back here ASAP.

They opened in 1989 and when I finally stepped in here it was 2017! Lol! Lollypops has long been the place to go during the summer for locals and tourists alike over the years. I think Lollypops was strictly seasonal for a while and they were only open during the summers if my memory serves. Since then they have expanded their menu to include breakfast and lunch options and after checking their hours on their window it seems that they are indeed open all year around these days. I have heard from family that the breakfasts here can be hit and miss. On my recent (and first !) visit here it was in Autumn and I definitely was not in the mood for ice cream since there was a chill in the air. I'm not always a big breakfast eater either but I love pastries which they do offer! I got their Dirty Chai Tea which I actually enjoyed a lot! The mix that they used with a blending of coffee made a very good, warming drink! I have no complaints about that in the slightest! The banana muffin that I also got could have been better. It was moist but it wasn't very flavorful and was a bit dull. It looked like the pastries... the muffins at least are made off site and that they are ordered in by a vendor because the packaging had a different name on it than Lollypops. The decor here is very quaint and cute. You can get some tables by the window and enjoy people watching as you enjoy your meal or snack. Whenever it is warm again and I'm back visiting I'd love to try the ice cream since this is what they are best known for and their variety of flavors is very impressive.

I place my order, give her a tip and go and wait at pickup. I go over to the pickup area, and I wait. The person making the coffee put a drink out with a receipt, but didn't call out a name so I went over to read the receipt which says "server:" and the person's name. I don't know why they're calling the customer "server" but whatever. So I go back to wait, she calls my name. I go over and take the drink that she said was mine. I leave. I'm on the road. I start to drink my drink and it tastes like tepid milk. I take the top off. It's a cappuccino. Just one problem: I didn't order a cappuccino and if I had, I would've been really disappointed in this one because it was super weak. I don't even think a double shot would've helped. I make better cappuccinos at home. It's not even remotely hot. And there's barely a hint of coffee flavor. If this is what Saratoga considers great coffee they need to get out a little more.

For being in the middle of nowhere, the coffees were a little expensive! I think on the menu there was a 4% upcharge for using a credit card, so we paid with cash instead.
