I was told to bring my child back for a quick "vision check" after she finally received her glasses--nightmare! Had to wait an hour for the doctor AND was charged for an office visit for something that took 5 minutes.They could have told me that she was running an hour late, but there was no communication and no apology from the doctor. I was incorrectly billed 3 TIMES! What a pain to have to call in to get the SAME issue resolved over and over again. My child has 100% coverage through Premera, yet the office assistant couldn't figure out how to bill her correctly, so I kept getting a bill in the mail. When I confronted the issue of being charged for an office visit for a 5 minute "vision check" that I had to wait over an hour for, I told the office staff that this was not acceptable and reiterated all the other problems. I said they could lose a patient and whole family of customers, yet the office assistant told me the doctor wasn't willing to talk to me and thought she should be paid for her services and didn't care to lose our business. Shocked at the way I was treated! I would give no stars if possible. Terrible office staff and obviously a conceited doctor who thinks her time is more valuable than mine. I'll be finding an office that respects my time and has competent staff working for them.

This will need to become an exception…read more I took my 94-year-old mother to Lenscrafters Abbotsford to have her prescription filled and after nearly two weeks they finally completed her prescription, and it was fine. I thought okay, Covid is in play, and I need to be patient. I went in for my own eye exam and went back to Lenscrafters Abbotsford to get the prescription filled, and again after just over 7 days, I got the call they were ready. I went in and when I put the glasses on they were a total blur, and I told them so. After looking at me quizzically and cleaning the lenses for me I still insisted that they were wrong. They called the manager to handle me, and after some further discussion, they finally checked the paperwork and discovered they had put my mother's prescription into my order, and they apologized. Okay a mistake, and they said they would have the lenses redone and would call in a couple of weeks. I got the call and went in today to get my new progressive lens. I have now waited for three weeks. As soon as I put them on I could tell they were not right for the distance portion of the prescription. I put them on and took them off several times with the young lady serving me. I explained I can read those letters on the wall with the glasses off, but not with the glasses on. She called the manager, and the manager explained to me that people new to progressive lens frequently have problems adjusting, and it would just require an adjustment period of a week or so. She said it is phycological. She has seen this many times in her 15 years of experience. I agreed to try them for a few days and bring them back if they did not adjust. I left and tried the glasses for a few hours and it was very apparent they were not working for distance vision. I returned that day and continued to tell the manager they were not right. At this point, she said she would test the lenses to make sure the prescription was correct. She went to the back and proceeded to test, however she was clearly having a problem with them. I asked if they were okay, and she said she could not get a proper reading. I asked, " If you had this machine to test them, why didn't you test them when I first said they were wrong?" She defaulted again to her 15-years of experience as a reason for basically blowing me off at first. She then said "We can get your lenses redone free of charge." (Too funny since they already collected over $600 for their services that were not done properly the first two times) I asked for my money back which they did refund. I really feel like I was just being processed and not being listened to as a customer. I told this manager that they had lost my confidence and they need to do better. I hope LensCrafters reads this review and ups their customer service game. For advice to new customers, do not accept the quick-fix blow-off strategies. Hold them accountable. If you can't see through your lenses, that is a problem, and you need to tell them so!!!

    I WANT to like this place, because the guy is quite personable and his frames and lenses are…read morereasonably priced - and I like to shop local. However, I recently tried to get a set of prescription lenses in my sunglass frames, and they were completely unable to get them right. I was told verbally that there was a 1-year warranty against defects (there was nothing written down). The first pair of lenses had sections where there was no polarization. The second pair had visible stress marks that made for very noticeable discolouration when you looked through different areas of the lens. The third pair is clear if you look down your nose, but completely blurry and distorted straight ahead. The owner of the shop refused to deal with me after this point, basically telling me there was nothing wrong with the glasses (implying, I suppose, that there's something wrong with me), and "I just need to let my eyes adjust to them". He refused to provide a refund of any sort. So, I'm now stuck with a pair of glasses I simply can't see clearly out of, and will have to go to another optician, paying out of pocket for a proper pair of lenses. I am beyond disappointed with both the quality of the lenses and the owner's unwillingness to make things right. EDIT: to follow up, I took my frames to another optician. They got the lenses perfect on the first try, and for a better price than LensMaster, too.

I was specifically looking for a square, blue, wired frame. She spent time with me making sure we found the right size for me and she ordered me a frame in an alternate color. When I returned to Lynden for my eye exam, I had a completely different experience. I was assigned to work with the manager, Dom, and let's just say, the interaction was less than ideal. He lacks professionalism and customer service. He told he that I could not have the blue frame. That I could only choose a frame that he had in stock. I will never work with him again. I left Lynden and got my glasses from Ferndale with Jessica! I am much happier with the experience there. If you can make the drive to Ferndale, i would spend your money there instead of Lynden. Dom doesn't care about his customers.

Dr. McGiffin took the time to clearly explain everything he was going to do before he did it and made me very relaxed. His equipment is all brand new and state of the art. He checked for everything and made sure to explain all my results. Their frame selection is huge and they have all the most current styles and name brands. I highly recommend this place for any eye care needs. They are the best in Lynden and it shows.
