Tonys Touch Auto Repair and Customs - Fixing my issue of where a lug nut snapped off.

Tonys Touch Auto Repair and Customs

I Enjoy giving reviews and I take it seriously since I look up reviews to decide where to go. I…read morealso look to see if I can tell if any fake reviews are posted or done by businesses themselves. Well, I'm in the middle of driving from NY to Miami, FL. As soon as I crossed over into Florida from Georgia I hit heavy rain and soon after I felt a shake coming from the front left wheel area. It was on a Sunday. I sat at a rest area for quite a few hrs. I refused to pay for a Florida Turnpike Tow. I drove abt 20 min and then the shaking got real bad. I looked up where the closest Auto Repair Shops were. I seen many in a place called Palm Coast. The first place, told me they could get me in, but it would be later in the day and without looking couldn't tell me how long of a fix. He gave me another option of going to an Industrial address 15 Hargrove Lane where I could find multiple Auto Shops. I went to the first one I seen open was a spot that solely works on Mercedes and I'm guessing some other specific cars. But the young man there still got in my car and drove it for a minute and gave me his opinion on a possibility. Then both the young man and a very nice lady from the Mercedes shop both told me I should go around the building to UNIT 1 J called TONY's TOUCH AUTO that opens around 9am. When he pulled in at 8:45am I approached him. I gave him 15 min to get organized. He then put my Mazda CX-9 up on a lift and it didn't take him long to find the issue. A lug nut had come loose from the new tires I put on the day before and that loose lug nut broke off one of the bolts that hold the Lug Nuts. He then told me it could be 1 of 2 prices depending on if he would have to move any other parts out of the way. Well, 15 minutes later he told me it was good news, it's the cheaper price. But honestly the more expensive price would've been fine after being in a car for a 3 day trip instead of 21 hrs. But now even better news, it's 10:06 am , 1 hr after looking at the car and he just came out and said I'm all set. Wow!!!! Fast!!! I'm writing this review while a worker of his is taking my car for a test drive. My experience with this man, Tony and his business is 100 Stars if I could give it. If you're a man or woman or teenager, my gut tells me this guy is a place I would go to before anyone else. I asked him why he doesn't advertise , even this Yelp isn't set up, he says advertisements cost money the one time he tried and word of mouth is free. Well, I'm 1 person that will vouch for word of mouth, because anyone reading this, I would go there and let him be the first you see before trying anywhere else. Well worth it. I see he's working on motorcycles too for anyone interested. Have a good day, I sure will from this point on.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tony's Touch!!!!…read more I have been to Tony's Touch three times (3 different problems, 2 different vehicles!) and they fixed the problem quickly - actually a little earlier than promised each time. They gave me a full explanation of what was wrong, options for fixing it and just overall treated me as a valued customer all three times! I will be using them for service on my vehicles!

Some new tires and rims and a Karly lift kit. They tried to swap the entire bumpers, including the wiring, harness and sensors, which everyone knows with a very quick Google cannot be done. You have to pull the wiring, harness and sensors and switch them. Then they acted like they had no idea what was wrong and why it would do that. They forgot to put bumper spacers on the front while I'm pushing 37 inch tires and told me one of the trucks was ready to pick up and go. I promptly went to do a U-turn to get on the interstate and almost ripped the front bumper off and got stuck in the middle of a six lane interchange - also chased my front right tire which the owner offered to buy me 1 tire? What that gonna help when you need to replace Al four and he almost got me T-Boned. The owner said bring the truck back will have everything straightened out proceeded to call me after New Year's and left a message stating that he completely gives up and there's no way that this could be done. We settled on a bill for the tire install and the lift kit. I went and bought some tools and a bumper spacer kit and installed the front and back bumpers to perfection by myself even though it took me three days because I am not a mechanic. While I was in their shop, I noticed that not only do they not have any fabrication mature materials such as a CNC or any kind of sheet metal bending or anything. They are a Bolt on only BS shop. While there a lady with a brand new car came in that they had put coil over springs on and new spark plugs and wiring harness and had blown her engine DO not let them anywhere near your vehicle. The new owner is a joke. This used to be a reputable place.

I'm going to do my best to keep this review focused without dumping everything in one review. The…read morefull footage review with proof is on youtube. This started the day I dropped the vehicle off on February 2nd. I had seen mixed reviews, but I took a chance. When I spoke with Harold and Dakota (his son), they quoted me what felt like a fair price and told me the car would be ready in about two weeks. I made it clear I needed it back by Monday because I had jury duty and VA doctor appointments. Dakota assured me that wouldn't be an issue. About a week in, I reached out for an update -- no calls back. That became a pattern. I called around 15 times. Only two were answered, both by the front desk. Most of the time my calls were ignored. That level of communication is frustrating and honestly unprofessional. Roughly ten days after dropping the car off, I went to check on it and saw they had only just started sanding. At that point the promised completion date was only a few days away, which didn't make sense. Because I couldn't get updates by phone, I had to keep driving there in person. I was even told at one point, "Don't call, just come up and talk to me." Each time I showed up, I was given another date. Monday. Then Tuesday. Then Wednesday. None of those happened. Calls still weren't returned. The front desk repeatedly said I'd get a call back, I never did. Meanwhile I missed three VA appointments and had to reschedule jury duty because I didn't have my vehicle. By Thursday I was done waiting. I told them I was coming down. When I arrived, it was clear communication had broken down completely. At that point I contacted the police, not to cause problems, but to document that I was trying to retrieve my vehicle. The officer explained there wasn't much they could do beyond advising a civil standby when I picked the car up. I had also seen other reviews mentioning confrontations, so I wanted everything documented just in case. When I finally went to pick the car up on Friday, at first glance it looked fine through the window. Once I saw it up close at home and under the sun, there were lots of issues. The top had been installed incorrectly -- the gasket was flipped on both sides. There were areas where touch-up paint was used instead of proper finishing. Parts like the inside of the door handle were sanded but not repainted, leaving a rough texture where you constantly touch the car. The interior was also left very dirty. They had the vehicle for three weeks. Some people may ask why I didn't have them fix it. After waiting that long and dealing with the communication problems, I didn't have confidence the process would improve. The timeline kept slipping, and most of the time the car was just sitting there when I visited. My biggest issue here isn't just the quality -- it's the lack of communication, the owner lying about me saying things I didnt say and missed commitments. If phone calls were returned and timelines were realistic, this experience would have felt very different. Based on my experience, I would recommend looking into other body shops. If you check BBB and Google reviews, you'll see similar complaints about delays and communication. Cars seem to sit for long stretches, and the person doing the work often wasn't the one I originally spoke with. The reason im giving a 2 star instead of a 1, is because they actually painted it the color I wanted. That was my experience. The full footage is on youtube

Long story short they install an aftermarket part on my car when I specifically wanted my car repaired to OEM specs. It was even more telling, after I price the OEM part based off how low the estimate price was. The aftermarket part was a lot smaller than the original. They did not reinstall my fender well clips. Instead that rolled my fender damaging the paint. The front facia has a lot of scratches as if it were dropped. Also noticed the ripped the facia clips on removal. As I mentioned long story short, this "$600"repair resulted in an extra $3500 in damage to my car. I highly recommend going to another shop. I've heard a lot of horror stories since dealing with this shop. I really wish I heard all of it before hand.
