I have been going to MSG Jewelers since they were a little "hole in the wall" shop on South Kingshighway. I took my Seiko watch in for repair because they are "authorized" to do repair on this brand of watch. I was hesitant, because this watch hold a great deal of sentimental value, but I was assured that MSG was the best place to take it. I was welcomed as soon as walked into the shop. I showed him the watch and told him that I needed to have it repaired. He gave me an estimate and told me when I could pick it up. I received a call a few days later letting me know that my watch was ready. When I went to pick it up, I was told that my watch was not broken...it just needed to be cleaned and was running like new!!! The cost was minimal, but I was so pleased by their honesty that I have been a customer ever since. Their inventory is phenomenal!!! I have several pieces and items from them that are going to be passed down in our family!!! Several years ago, I went to see them about some jewelry that my father gave me that had belonged to my mother. They cleaned (and repaired when needed) and brought out a shine and sparkle to the pieces that I had not seen in years!!! Mike asked if I had enough homeowners/renter's insurance to cover my jewelry if anything happened. I told him what coverage I had and he explained that it was not enough to even begin to replace my items if anything happened to them. He gave me information about a company that they work with to insure precious pieces. I had my items appraised and the information, along with an application form, was sent to their insurance carrier. I now have my pieces insured for a VERY affordable price!!! NEVER any pressure to go through them or their carrier!!! I have recommended MSG to several family and friends who have ALL been just as pleased as I am. I know dealing with a family owned/operated business will ensure that you get more personal service. Mike also has "estate" items in one of his cases. Some, if not all, of the pieces are antiques and absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Their events are well planned and well attended. The service at MSG was and is amazing! I went in there with very little knowledge of jewelry, basically just the useless info the mall jewelers provide. The staff took their time to educate me on the industry, the products and even how the 'certified grading' system used by the big mall jewelers is WRONG. Their inventory is massive, which allowed me to make a great selection. When I went to other jewelry stores to look, there was basically what was in the display case and that was it. Not as MSG!! The display case is just the tip of the diamond, wait till you see what they have in reserve!! Beyond the inventory though, the customer service is above and beyond what anyone would expect. I think the fact that every member of this family works in the store has a huge impact on how they treat people. I kid you not, be the time I purchased the ring, I felt like family too. As if great products, amazing service, and knowledge beyond compare is not enough, they also do special events! Yeah, they bring in limited edition pieces, cool designers, and special collections all while making an event out of it. I learned about this because they invited me to the next one (which I WILL be attending) for Le Vian and I plan to make it for the other events they will be doing too. My husband purchased my engagement ring and wedding band from MSG in 2013 and they even went above and beyond to help customize my wedding band by adding sapphires (my husband's birthstone) Then, I purchased his band from here in 2014. I will use them from now on for any jewelry purchases or repairs. The staff is VERY friendly and caring. Last summer I waited to long to take off my rings while pregnant and had to have my rings cuts off. I no longer live in St. Louis, so I went to a local jeweler to have them cut, but took them to MSG to be fixed. MSG was AMAZING! They gave me an estimate of the total cost to fix my rings and waited for my go ahead to start work on them. A few days later I received a call that it looked as though, when my rings were cut off, by a different jeweler, a chunk was missing so my ring would end up a size and a half too small, and in order to make sure my rings would fit they would have to add more to them and it would change their original estimate. It means the world to me that they were sure to contact and get my approval before doing the extra work. I LOVE having my rings back and can't thank them enough. My family have been loyal customers of MSG Jewelers since the early 80's. I grew up knowing that Michael and his family are the best, most honest Jewelers in the St. Louis area. No matter what your need Michael and his staff will go out of their way to help you. My family has purchased many pieces of jewelry over the years from small inexpensive pieces to very expensive pieces that Michael himself has designed for us. I have always felt like I received the best quality pieces at the most reasonable prices. When my mother was very close to leaving this earth we called upon Michael to help us remove my mother's rings from her very swollen fingers. Not only did he agree to come out to her bedside but he did so very quickly. After removing the rings he sat and prayed with us and my mother, who was in a coma. I will never forget the care he took to cut the rings from fingers and the love her bestowed upon us as we prepared for her passing. MSG Jewelers has been my "go to" jewelry store since I bought my wife's engagement ring in 2008. The staff is extremely courteous. All of the members of the George family (owners) know my wife and I by name even though we only visit the store 2-3 times per year. We have purchased my wife's engagement ring, our wedding bands, several sets of earrings, a strand of pearls, and charms with each of our children's names and birthstones. We have been fully satisfied with every purchase. Many of my purchases for my wife have come from their "Close Out" selection, allowing me to find something nice for her at a reduced price. Whenever we visit the shop for any reason, they are happy to clean our rings while we browse. MSG has been very helpful in providing updated appraisals for our jewelry coverage on our insurance policy. My husband and I have been going to MSG Jewelers for a few years now and have always been impressed by the quality of jewelry and the excellent service we receive. Mike Jr worked with us as we shopped for engagement and wedding bands and it was clearly important to him that we were happy with everything. When they didn't have the type of engagement ring I liked he had it made for us and when we couldn't find a wedding band to go with it he helped us design one and had that made for us as well. When the wedding band arrived George worked on it to make it sit snugly against the engagement band and called us to come in and look at it in order to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. WOW what a great experience purchasing something I had no clue about!!! Mary Ann (The Owner) took care of me and was the most pleasant and patient person I have ever dealt with in a service setting. She asked questions about my wife and what she likes and directed me to a beautiful piece (and the price was right !!!) told me all about it and the jeweler that designed it. I was stunned because it was as if she knew what my wife would like, trust me I was so out of my league but everything worked out wonderfully. We purchased our engagement ring from MSG - the entire process was amazing !!! I went a few weeks ahead of time, spending time with Melanie and Mike, both incredibly knowledgable and helpful with the process .... I purchased my wife's engagement ring here, & she later customized her band through MSG also. Their inventory is EXTENSIVE. We were able to create a personalized design for her wedding band with their in-house bench jeweler George, which was a great added bonus! I initially chose MSG over other jewelers for several reasons, but mainly because I was won over by their amazing customer service. They were always patient with me (I'm not all that knowledgeable) & never made me feel pressured or rushed, which I really appreciated. While jewelry stores can be somewhat intimidating, MSG Jewelers gives the complete opposite vibe. Never before have I walked in to a jewelry store and felt like I was walking in to someone's home. I am always greeted with warmth and made to feel like I was their best and only customer. I have been there for simple repairs, the redesign of my wedding ring (which I admit took several visits because I couldn't decide) and a special order placed for a birthday gift for my mom - that turned out to be exactly what I wanted. All of the staff were very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I actually happened to almost faint while I was here, and they handled it extremely well and professionally. They immediately grabbed me a chair, water, cold rag, and candy/crackers. Called the EMTs, stayed with me until they arrived. After I was cleared by the EMTs, they let me hang out in the store until I felt comfortable driving, and offered me as much cold water and snacks as I wanted.
