I knew almost nothing about jewelry. Being the analytic type, this was going to take some time and research. After some online reading, I visited a select few jewelers. Some experiences were certainly better than others. As I was deciding which one to do business with a friend recommended MSG. It was late in the game and I really needed to make the purchase happen but I decided to give them a shot; one last stop. I originally worked with Katie who is knowledgable, friendly and was very helpful. I her absence one day (I made a few visits) I worked with Melanie who was also great. I set an appointment to look at loose stones with Mike Sr. My conversation with Mike ended up being the pivotal point in the entire process. He shared some unique and interesting insights into diamonds. I then decided that MSG is the place to be. In the course of events, I did take my fiance out shopping with me once, so we knew by this point exactly what ring she wanted. Time was running out and MSG did not have the ring she wanted. Mike Sr. bent over backwards in every attempt to get the ring, at the price, in a crazy short timeframe. At the end of the day, it just wasn't possible. I cannot put any blame on MSG. It was a very specific request with a ridiculously short turnaround. I talked to Mike almost daily as he worked at finding the ring. In the end, I had to buy the ring, with no stone, elsewhere. Honestly, I ended up at a big franchise jeweler that I really did not like for a variety of reasons. But that was the ring she wanted and only two places had in in their inventory. I came back to MSG to get my stone though. The quality and value of the stones at MSG was noticeably better than the "comparable" stones at almost every other jeweler I visit. I feel like i have a friend in MSG, Mike Sr and his staff. Elsewhere, I just felt like a customer. Most importantly, my future wife loves her ring and diamond in it sparkles and dances in the light.

Michael George, president, and CEO of MSG Jewelers is exceptional. His expertise is a welcomed combination of years of industry knowledge and interpersonal skills that truly sets him apart. Trustworthiness and honesty are sought-after attributes in this business, but most of us don't know where to begin. Start here. You'll love where you end up. I did!

When the clerk asked me if I would take $200 for 2 Gold diamond necklaces, she seemed shocked that I said yes. (I knew better but needed the money. I had told her that I had some other jewelry and that I would be back. I did some research and realized that I had been taken. I had some other rings and necklaces, so I went back the next day. She did not seem happy to see me at all; in fact, she had feigned interest in something the day before but was just attempting to be nice. She rejected some of my pieces stating that they were not real then walked into the back area where someone let her know if the ones she selected were "acceptable". Again, an offer of about $200 for 2 vintage solid gold class rings. i asked her why. she looked at me and babbled on about clarity and such. I looked at her. said no and left. I went to another jewelry store with the rings and the rejected pieces and was offered $1200 for everything. I feel as if I have been robbed and am so tired of dishonesty just because they can get away with it. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE THEY ARE NOT HONEST OR KIND, SHE MADE ME FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE LIKE I WAS BENEATH HER. I WILL PRAY FOR HER. This is the first review I have ever written like this. it is very uncomfortable; however, it needed to be said.
