Have cruised twice b4 with MSC, never saw the amount of children on those 2 cruises as I did on this one! If u r not cruising with kids and think u will enjoy the Yacht Club-WRONG! Cruise Virgin if you do not want to hear or see children! Was supposed to cruise Meraviglia for my son's 21st bday but the pandemic hit. Took us 2 years to get our money back from that crazy! Then I booked the family all rooms in the Yacht Club for Xmas one year. Was told by my concierge at the time (who unbeknownst to me was quitting his job) and he told me 120 days out or more was a refundable cancellation. Well guess what ppl-it's not! I didn't read my papers b cuz I trusted his word-so I got screwed out of $1200 in deposits b cuz we had to cancel. I still cruised MSC. Still said I'd take my son on MSC. Decided to go Yacht Club this time. WORLD AMERICA! Ship is beautiful. Staff is friendly-our butler was overworked. He had 3 jobs and was never available to help us when we called. Twice we actually reached him and he said call the concierge. My yacht club bedding had a hole in it and had a yellow color to it in spots. For $11k I do not think you should see that kind of linen. I couldn't charge my wheelchair b cuz u need an adapter to go to a US plug. That wasn't on my paperwork. That became a "thing". Day 2 I saw a $140 charge for 2 of the 3 of us. The 3rd day all 3 of us had it. So that ruined day 3 for me b cuz I also didn't see that on my paperwork. $420 a day for gratuities and we can't get any service! ????Found out that was an error. It's only one time and no option to opt out of that. Couldn't use the pool cuz there were kids jumping in it. Which also is not Ada friendly without the use of the lift! No walk in steps-just 2 ladders which u can barely hold onto with wet hands! That pool is also like swimming in a metal rectangle pan from a heated prep line! Very small - especially with kids jumping in it! My son was denied service at lunch dressed in his white outfit b cuz he had no sleeves by day. But lots of young boys running around in speedos. Girls of all ages with bikinis that barely cover their parts and a netted something over it. But my son's sleeveless white shirt and white linen pants are not acceptable for lunch!???! Did I mention, LOTS OF KIDS IN THE YACHT CLUB ALSO! (That wasn't on my paperwork either)! But there is! Must fall under the whole kids sale free thing! That should not occur! There's also teen kids that discover the pool door opens and lets them in and they can use the stairs to go between floors of the Yacht Club! Saw them order drinks and snacks never showing a card and then they went and chilled on the pool deck. I did say - Never showing a card, right!? We wanted to eat lunch in air conditioning so we ate in the lounge one day. The next time, we were asked to sit in a corner and asked to move to said corner to eat. A tribe of children came in and sat out by the window where we were and they were allowed to EAT, climb all over the furniture, put their hands all over the windows and mess with the lights while their parents slept on a sofa! Guess we are the wrong nationality!? Our eating was more disruptive than that?! Still trying to understand these things. Only American music was heard on 70-80's night. When u ask the DJ to play some American music - he says "like what"?!!!? Food is still just as tasteless as the others and getting food or drink to your room is inconsistent. But omg! They nail pizza! By inconsistent I mean, from where or when, etc when ordering. If you are lucky your drinks won't take an hour to arrive and will still have ice in them. I did not check out the casino b cuz it looked small and my hubby said "no new games"! It's a new ship! Y are there no new games!?????! We managed to get the only uncovered balcony on the row! Day 2 I was sitting on the balcony to have cleaning water from above brushed overboard onto my head! The next morning I woke to see a card under my door about balcony cleaning that day. Lolol! Like I didn't know that was coming! The next day we don't take off until 6:30 pm from our room. At 9:40 pm we return to find an invitation to a bourbon and chocolate tasting at 8 pm-that evening, which obviously had already occurred. Why did they not slip that under my door during the day so I could plan that in my schedule!???? Our phone only works on speaker and they can barely understand us. We have complained about that since day 1. Yesterday, they said we did not know that! Lolol. We literally call 3-5 times daily and go thru the whole "we can't hear u" game. Absolutely amazing ship! I love MSC WORLD AMERICA! This is MSC's most modern and biggest ship and it has a little bit of everything for everyone. From entertainment, to the bars, kids clubs, arcades, food, clubs, and so much more! From the modern MSC port of Miami to this iconic boat everything was a splendid experience. The customer service from the cleaning staff to the service at the restaurants everyone was very helpful and friendly. Don't get me started on the food! Everything was delicious and there was nothing I can say tasted bad or not cooked properly in my opinion. So much to do and I would definitely go in again without a doubt. This was our anniversary trip and we loved it so much. Highly recommend to anyone! read more

We just returned from one week on MSC's World America. We have sailed on several MSC ships, and this one is by far my favorite. Even after seven days, we still did not get a chance to do everything onboard. We saw several high end shows, enjoyed St Paddy's day onboard, relaxed in the many pools and jacuzzis, and delighted in the gelato. Our state room was clean, and our steward kept it in tiptop shape all week long. The Aurea Spa was beautiful and modern. So many thermal spa rooms to visit. We had fabulous staff in the main dining room who were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed 3 of the 4 speciality restaurants. All came with excellent service, ample and delicious food, and elegant spaces. My favorites were the Teppanyaki and Eataly. MSC's private island, Ocean Cay, in the Bahamas is simply stunning. So many places you can escape the crowds. It's a true relaxing playground with something to do for all age groups. This ship is a winner for MSC. We will definitely sail her or her future sister ships again! read more

This cruise line is known for its European flare. It has a lot of European passengers on all of its voyages. More that any other line that I have been on. It took me a bit to get use to the European ways of doing things. The ship is currently home ported in Miami and is gorgeous. A lot of it reminds me of Royal Caribbeans's Icon of the Seas. It is a very beautiful ship that is well maintained and very clean. What drew me to the ship was the cost. It was very reasonable. You cant beat it. The ship features a swing that takes you over the edge of the ship, an indoor basketball court, bumper cars, ropes course, a casino, water slides, an indoor pool, a main pool, many hot tubs, and adults only pool, an arcade, a hidden speakeasy, and a tall slide. Some call for reservations and others such as the swing, F1 simulator and bumper cars cost an additional fee. The gym on the ship is decent and overlooks the main pool. The kids club is awesome and has a ton of act ivies for the kids and a great staff. It seems that the ship has a specific palylist, which is heavy on latin music and line dance songs. Honestly, I was not a fan of the music. The DJ were good though and the entertainment staff were awesome. They hyped the crowd, were very interactive and full of energy. I stayed on the 16th floor in a suite that faced the promenade. The room was huge, but it was very noisy. I was awaked by the setting up of chairs at the adult zen pool above my room and the after dark club music from the Panorama Lounge echoed in my room until 2AM. The food on the ship was decent. The pizza was amazing and you can get it at the main pool, the 6th deck, and at the buffet. I recommend bringing a drink cup on teh ship with you. the cups at the drink stations are very small. Lemonade, orange juice, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, tea, coffee, and water are free. Drinks from the Coke remix machine are an additional charge. The adult drinks are pretty weak in my opinion. I stopped getting alcohol in my drinks and did not see the difference. You can use your room card on the ship for everything and you and also get a wrist band at an additional charge, that you can use to purchase stuff and get in your room. You cannot use it when getting on/off the ship. The ship's staff is very friendly. The cruise director, the honorable Reverend Doctor E is amazing. He is the best cruise director that I have ever experienced. He really keeps the party jumping and is very personable. Any ship would be honored to have him. The speakeasy is a must. The staff is amazing and the show was entertaining. the really stay in character. And you are free to leave at your leisure and not have to stay for the who show if you don't want. Hopefully you will be able to crack the code. I will give you a hint. They are by reservation only. The ship's embarkation and debarkation processes are the smoothest and best that I have seen. I do not know any way to make them smoother. The shows are the ship are good. They have an illusion show, a few variations of a dirty dancing show, a veterans appreciation, a singer, a movie song show, trivia events, a talent show and first responder appreciation. The ship's white party on teh pool deck seems to be its premiere event. you can communicate with other people using the ships app, if you do not have internet. The app could use some improvements though. I was able to communicate with other people ion my group through imessage, and I did not have cellular or paid internet. I enjoyed my time on the ship for the most part. If you factor in the price, it ranks a bit higher. This was my first experience with MSC and I would differently sail with them again. read more

My husband surprised me with a unique and special birthday cruise on my favorite cruise line MSC this time we were able to try out there new ship that has only been out for about 7 months and this one is definitely one to add to your bucket list if you love going on cruise or want to experience it all. Starting with the service the staff and crew members are absolutely fantastic they want you to have fun that's the most important thing about it and they keep you busy with shows and activities and winning prizes if you want to play like trivia and bingo on the cruise ship and dinner service with our two servers were amazing and they even surprise me for my birthday with balloons and and that made it more memorable and special. And we reunited with one of the staff members we seen on our first cruise on MSC she was amazing as well. We had the drink package and the drinks on this cruise they did not missed on presentation and taste my favorite one was the gardener it had a refreshing taste to it and sweet for a gin drink and there was other options to it where each package you have a up to number and if it's over you will only be charge the difference and they show that on there MSC app this is where all the magic begins. The app allows you to see all the events and add it to your agenda to and there always something for everyone every hour and of course you missed one don't worry they do similar events each day that way each day is even more exciting then the pervious day. We also dine in to two of the dining experience one was a sushi dinner and the miso soup and miso black cod both very delicious and the chef sushi and sashimi selection was amazing and fresh where everything is prepared with perfection. The second dinner experience was extra special from being my birthday yesterday and my husband surprised me with a chef table and that was totally worth the experience it came with a lot of food but all different flavors and elevation as well as pairing with wine and ending a surprise birthday cake it was light and sweet and well made. The fun experience we both had that was unique experience was the speakeasy bar it was on w of the secret bars that is somewhere in the ship fun one to enjoy a bar that is extra special and has well crafted drinks and the only thing is your drink package will not work so you will have to pay with your cruise card which is how you pay for anything you want on the ship it's associate with a card you add on file prior to you checking in online. Overall this was the ultimate experience I had with MSC and we will be back for many more experiences like this one. And anyone who loves to shop who love to have a good time and party all night and have many activities to do choose and wants to have a dine in experience like no other. this one you will not be disappointed at all . read more

We booked two premium Yacht Club cabins on MSC World America, expecting an exclusive, high-security family vacation. Instead, we experienced a parent's worst nightmare and total corporate neglect. The Kids Club experienced a complete systemic breakdown in their secure chain of custody. When we arrived to sign our minor daughter out, staff completely lost track of her whereabouts for 20 harrowing minutes. Security systems and staff could not verify her status, location, or who she was with. This severe breach of basic child safety caused our family profound emotional distress, stripping away a major amenity we paid to receive and forcing us to self-manage childcare. Worse, onboard Yacht Club management and the Director completely ducked our meetings and ignored us while we were sailing. Upon returning, "Escalations Agent Courtney" insulted us by offering a measly $200 future credit per booking for a missing child scare--expecting us to spend more cash with a line that compromised our family's safety. After we rejected this, a Post-Cruise Escalations Manager promised a phone call to resolve the issue directly but completely ghosted us. As Diamond Voyagers Club members who spent tens of thousands with this brand, we are completely done with MSC. They do not care about luxury service standards, and more importantly, they cannot guarantee the basic safety of your children. read more
