Krystal Glass & Door

I love meeting a professional who does not try to discourage me from attempting a big project in…read moretheir field without their full service involvement. I was feely mighty ambitious and thrifty when I called Krystal Glass to ask for a consultation regarding a big mirror project at my new dance studio. Jimmy made time to meet me at one location and to accompany me to two more nearby locations on the same visit. Together, we checked out several used 6 x 8 mirrors at a nearby gym, looked at a few other mirrors I had in storage, and did a recon trip of the mirrors' final destination. Along the way, Jimmy provided the information that I needed about the correct tools for moving and installing the mirrors myself with a friend. (I should have brought two friends and insisted upon paying them). He also consulted with me, my contractor friend and the building GC about the best way to build secure and attractive frames for the mirrors. After we completed the framing and moved a couple of the mirrors on our own, I wound up asking Jimmy to help procure, move and install the rest of the mirrors onto the frames. Jimmy and his team handled my many requests promptly, with kindness, patience and professionalism. I will be back with any and all of my glass needs and I will also be providing referrals. Thanks to Jimmy's input, we put together something amazing. Behold!

They provided exceptional service, custom-making every single unit. They were very patient in working with our architect and accommodating all the changes he requested. Jimmy, the owner, is a great person to work with. We couldn't be happier with the results. Thank you, guys!

I knew exactly when the orders were placed, received and when the team was coming to my house to work on the project. The guys were punctual, respectful, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. I asked for a special modification of a couple of windowsills and both Paolo and Dan listened to me and did exactly what I asked for. The pricing was more than fair and the materials and overall job is high quality. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend this company to others who are looking to make quality and cost efficient updates!

However, after the job was suspended due to cold weather, we encountered significant issues. We met with Dan DaSilva in the spring to review the remaining items required to complete the project, and he acknowledged the outstanding work. Unfortunately, since that meeting, we have been unable to reach him despite numerous attempts via text message, voice mail and certified mail. Because the project remained incomplete and we could not get a response, we were forced to hire another contractor to finish the work at our own expense. We subsequently took the matter to small claims court to recover those costs. I am very disappointed that it has reached this point and would caution others regarding the follow-through and communication from this company.

You ever have a basement window just....sporadically shatter for no apparent reason? Well,…read moreevidently this is just a thing that randomly occurs in this part of town. The last time I had glass shatter spontaneously was back in '24 when our winter storm door screen was completely pulverized by the summer heat, it seems (Pro-life tip: swap out your storm door screens in the summer with mesh ones). On the back of that unforeseen devastation, out went my mass inquiries to all the local shops servicing the Nashua area. Out of maybe 5 (?), 3 responded almost instantly. One sent a quote so high, I was half tempted to reply and ask if I could have some of whatever they were smoking. Another replied with what seemed to be a promising rate, but there was one problem. Their communication was severely intermittent to the point where they inexplicably ghosted me faster than a recruiter responding to a job applicant. Ultimately, I settled on Good Window Works. They offered a fair quote, were easy to get ahold of, and even provided a COI statement as per the request of our housing board. For those unaware, a COI is a Certificate of Insurance. Basically, it's assurance to the board that the contractor in question is insured to complete the job without creating a liability if they, say....jam their thumb beneath a tack hammer or something. With those formalities out of the way, the job was simple enough: Replace the half of the basement window that abruptly disintegrated. All in all, the job took roughly 2 hours. In the end, the window he installed was so transparent, it looked like there was no pane at all in the frame. But no--the glass was just THAT pristine! I don't say this often, but....experiences like these are what I love most about being a Yelp writer. So rarely do I get to be in the position to not only promote another hard working local business, but also pose as the microcosmic advertising vehicle that just might serve as the prompt some very fortunate individual needs to go, "Yeah, I'm hiring this place to work on my house". If you're wondering whether you should hire these guys for your next installation or repair job, the answer is likely yes. Good Window Works is worth 5 window panes clearer than thin air out of 5.

Only Good Windows responded and sent someone out to do an estimate. They just finished the job. The original estimate was done from the ground, however when the technician was able to get the unit out of the frame, (This is an old style window), we both saw that additional work had to be done. The tech did the work and did an excellent job. It was only a bit more over the original estimate, but quite reasonable. I highly recommend Good Window Works.
