They just finished our long overdue full house exterior painting, and the house is completely transformed! We love it and cannot say enough good things about our the experience and results. The owner, Mike Hutchins, was wonderful to deal with. Very helpful, very responsive, and very honest. And so were his crew. They left the yard clean and tidy every night and were very nice to deal with. We will definitely hire them again for interior painting next. They even do repainting of kitchen cabinets. HIGHLY recommend.

Poor prep work overall, none in some places. Painted our windows (sliders) and several could no…read morelonger be opened and were ruined in trying to do so since the seals ripped off, or at minimum the paint came off. We were going to replace all the windows anyway, but I'd be really upset if we had to buy new windows because of them. Speaks to their lack of care/professionalism, and communicating with them was difficult at best. They didn't scrape some of the vertical trim at all, just painted over existing peeling finish. Lasted maybe 5 years and needed to be redone. Didn't properly replace wood trim with Aztek, or similar, even though that's what I paid for. I recently had to redo all of it since water was trapped and rotted the wood behind it (which, again, I paid to have replaced). I should have watched them closely when they were here. I'm not sure I even got a second coat either and if I did it was sprayed on (saw them using a sprayer at some point NOT hand painting). Now I have many areas where the clapboards/trim/sheathing are damaged due to years of insufficient protection. I paid for caulking to be applied where clapboards meet the vertical trim. This didn't happen at all, and cost us quite a bit in rotted sheathing and cedar. Around the chimney the work was really poor. Really a shame since the price was good and the owner seemed competant and the company had signs everywhere at the time. All of the vertical trim peeled about 5 years later, exposing raw wood, it clearly had very little adhesion and also had a latex quality about it, not stain. So I think they stained right over the paint. This paint job caused me a great deal these years later. Won't be using them again.

Initially, I was impressed with Tony and the paint job (since a new coat of paint always looks…read morenice) but, after the project was fully paid and I began to experience issues, Tony's tune totally changed. During early conversations with Tony, he lead me to believe that he would be using high-quality Benjamin Moore paint to complete the job, as well as performing any prep work, including sanding and priming. However, it was only after the project was underway that I noticed Tony switched the paint to use cheap Valspar paint, which I specifically asked him not to use due to issues I have had with it in the past. I brought up my concerns to Tony and he assured me that the paint would work fine and that he would cover any issues that may arise due to using it. Also, crucial prep work was skipped during the painting process. The kitchen cabinets were not sanded or primed before painting over the existing, tacky, peeling paint. It has only been 2 months and, currently, the paint on my kitchen cabinets scratches right off, chips from normal use, and leaks color when wet. The cabinets have already had to be touched up by both Tony and myself. However, despite me bringing this to Tony's attention within the 6 month guarantee window he provided me, he was reluctant to do anything about it stating that I just need to stop worrying about it. I have now contacted (4) other professional painters to understand what went wrong to see if I could fix the issues myself and all (4) have told me that, because Tony used cheap wall paint that is not meant for cabinets and did not follow the professional process for doing the job correctly, my only option is to strip the cabinets completely and start over. I am now looking at having to pay a minimum $3,400 to correct Tony's work despite still being within his guarantee window. Tony's only proposed solutions are to either paint over the existing paint, which all (4) other professionals have stated will not fix the problem, or provide me with a $600 refund, leaving me to pay $2,800 out of pocket to fix the damages. His defense is that I never told him the original cabinets needed to be prepped or that he needed to use cabinet paint, which are both unrealistic expectations since he was supposed to be the professional with the expertise to know how to do the job properly.

Dominic and his crew were very professional and polite, and would check with us whenever something needed to be noted or a decision needed to be made. I am a slightly difficult customer because I had some ideas about exactly HOW I wanted things to be installed with gaps to allow water vapor to escape from my basement floor. Dominic listened, offered ideas of his own, we tried a couple of things and came up with a solution that works. They are detail oriented and make sure that the structural details that are not even visible (but make a difference in the long haul), are done correctly. They don't take any shortcuts. Even though I only speak one language, they speak MANY LANGUAGES, which may be handy for you. Most importantly, THEY ARE HONEST. You have nothing to fear about leaving tools or any valuables around. They do not swear, which is important if children are around, and they are always VERY respectful. When they are finished, your project will be done and everything will be cleaned up, and you will leave a 5-Star review too. Note that there are MANY construction companies with VERY similar names; this is a review for "MJM HOME REPAIRS, LLC" of Worcester MA

How did they do? Let me put it this way: it's been about 1 month since they finished the job and I still catch myself staring at the walls. Some times, I'll sit in my living room with bourbon in my hand and just stare at the walls, the trim, the line between the wall and the trim, the line where the ceiling meets the wall...every line is perfect. Everything has been cut perfectly. The color that was applied is perfectly even. The caulking that they did, sometimes to repair shoddy work from before, is also perfect.
