They had an assortment of books, clothes, dishes, pins, beanie babies, toys, anything you can think of. There was so many unique items for a reasonable price. I expected the prices to be more on certain items because they're so unique. There weren't many people around to help because it was busy so you have to track someone down. When you're ready to pay you head towards the front of the store and they check you out. The cashier was very nice and asked me how my experience went and commented on my purchases. The atmosphere here is far different from all the stores I've been to in the area. Although small, it's packed and wonderfully staged into small sections which makes it easier to envision items in your space; which is something most stores don't take time to do. Clothing is limited, but carefully curated and organized into sweaters, outwear, pants, and even plus sizes (which I haven't seen in other stores). COME HERE IF ... you're looking for furniture and unique Knick knacks and accessories for your home. There's a lot of it and this is the first store where I wanted to purchased everything I practically laid my eyes on. DOWNSIDE ... I laid my eyes on a table set I wanted to purchase for my soon to be first apartment, however, I decided to walk through the whole store first before coming back to purchase it. IT WAS SOLD by the time I walked back towards the front of the store. LESSON LEARNED HERE IS if you want something buy it right then and there because you quite frankly, YOU WILL NOT FORGET IT (a fitting name for the store) AND BE SAD YOU DIDN'T GET IT. The store offers everyday items such as clothing, books, and other stuff for the home, but what really sold us was that they had a good amount of vintage holiday items at reasonable prices. The owner is purchasing and upselling (up to triple the price from the department store). The owner does sprinkle some antiques around the store but the items are overpriced. I got about a third of the way into the store, admiring the wide array of vintage food craft tools - when I came upon the prominent display of the T-shirt "Try that in a small town". Knowing that this is a racist T-shirt advocating the lynching of African-Americans I realized that it was an intentional statement to black and brown people so I immediately left the store and wrote this second review. When it transitioned to online, it was a fun way to spend part of my Saturday while I did chores, running over to my laptop to bid as my items came up. It was always a pleasant experience when picking up my treasures; all the staff are so friendly and helpful, and insisted on loading everything in my van for me. Then I fell in love with a man in Palm Desert and it was time to downsize my 5 bedroom Victorian home in Los Angeles and sell it. The Redlands Auction staff made the long drive to come out and accepted about 90% of my offerings and spread them out between 2 auctions. I was more than pleased with what my antiques brought in, and it saved me so much time trying to sell them another way. Now it's a couple years down the road I am back in the buying market again to add my own touch to our desert and mountain homes, and of course Redlands Auction is where I turn!
