This was another Brazilian pizza shop in the area. This time they remodeled- neat and clean no seating. I tried the Chicken Pastel with Catupiry.. this was a big fried rectangular empanada. It was seasoned chopped chicken with Brazilian cream cheese.. which worked very well together. Savory a lil bit of sweetness then savory. When talking to staff I found out that they hand make the dough - which is good thing and should be mentioned as there is 4 other pizza shops in the area. I'll be back to try other items. Gnocchi were a bit denser than we like. Our other main was the Seafood Paella. On the plus side it had a lot of seafood in it, mussels, Shrimp, Scallops and a white fish. All of the sish was cooked well and was tender and juicy. However it did not appear to be cooked in a Paella pan so you didn't get some of those bites of crispy rice and the seasoning was off it had no saffron or tomatoes like I am used to. It was more like a plain rice that they added peas, carrots, and red pepper. Just didn't taste like any form of the paella that I have eaten previously. We asked the manager for some napkins to prop up the wobbly table and he said (quote) "Why don't you tell your kid not to stand on his chair" and walked away. The kid in question was literally sitting in his chair with one foot against the table. We explained to the manager the impact of what he said, and gave him multiple opportunities to apologize. We get it: its St Patrick's Day in an Irish bar and it's stressful. But instead of recognizing that he snapped: he doubled down and tried to convince us that his language fine, and that we were in the wrong for calling him out. I even talked with him an hour later, after it had cooled off, and he continued to be aggressive and dismissive. A bad manager is one thing. But our server didn't acknowledge the awkwardness (even as other families watched in shock), just trying to rush us out. The food was probably the worst it's ever been at Stone's, which raises questions of why. It's understandable to have a bad day, it's *not* ok to set the tone for your staff and establishment that berating your customers, unprompted, is acceptable.
