It's within walking distance, albeit a huge block in Mississauga, from my workplace. I'd often walk over here to grab some lunch when I worked more regularly at the office. Recently, I was in the area running a few errands on a Saturday. I needed to fetch lunch. I did a search on my Uber Eats app and noticed a BOGO deal at Pita Lite. It was time to revisit this eatery. I got the beef gyros BOGO special. It came with potatoes and rice. I got to select the sauces that I wanted. Although hummus isn't really a sauce, I got it along with garlic, tzatziki, and tahini sauces. It took practically no time for my order to be ready. I was perhaps five minutes away by car, so I drove over there once I got the notification on my phone. It was weird being here on a Saturday. It was my first time. I backed into a parking spot and walked in. I got the most warm and friendly greeting by the man behind the counter. My order was right in front of me by the time that I walked over there. "I think this bag is my order," I said to him, showing my order number on my phone. "Yes, it is. Enjoy!" he said. I thanked him and wished him a great day. He reciprocated and I walked happily out the door with my order. I had one of the meals for dinner when I got home. I had the other the following day. The beef gyros was yummy. The slices were tender and juicy. The rice was perfectly done. I loved the potatoes. They were also perfectly done. The sauces were so good. I have missed coming here. You do get a good portion that kept me content for the rest of the evening. Heating up my second order was equally as yummy the following day. I'm so glad that I ordered something new. He said that's just the way it is, and it's only a $2 difference. When we asked him for a feedback number, he told us we were being rude for asking about the price difference when it was so minimal and then claimed that there was no beef so we should just take the chicken or leave as he had other customers to attend to and didn't want to serve us anymore. Quite frankly I was scared about what he would do to our food at this point anyways. There were other customers in the line who were wondering what had happened and asked us, he told us not to talk to them. He told us we were free to contact their head office but wouldn't give us his name, or the owner's name or the complaint line. Just said, "you have a phone, go online and figure it out". Then told us that we were free to leave a review online on yelp. Completely unacceptable behaviour to treat customers so poorly and try to flip on us telling us we were the ones being rude for asking him to honour the item and price listed on their board. Will never go there again. Contacted their customer service via online form, no one has reached out and it's been 2 weeks now. Went to Osmosis and got much better treatment and food!
