Hello foodies ...Today I bring another amazing food review but warning!!! This is not your typical Middle Eastern shawarma or chicken and rice. Yum Shawarma is on a whole other flavor level this is Shawarma with a strong touch of the Pakistani spices not at all your typical middle eastern style or spiced shawarma or spices. This place has some great reviews and now after having their chicken shawarma plate I understand why. I have been to well over 2 dozen different shawarma places in the GTA, give or take, they are pretty much very similar to each other in taste and the spices they use are familiarly middle eastern. Yum Shawarma is run by Pakistani owners and they use some very strong curries and spices to really level up the flavors in their shawarma meat. FOOD 5/5 ...I ordered the chicken shawarma plate, and let's just say I was very impressed and thrown back with the juicy, very spicy, and loaded with flavor amazing chicken meat. I mean this was almost like eating a curried chicken in shawarma format, the taste was full and amazing with every morsel of meat. You could taste the curries and cumin and all the wonderful spices in every bite unlike the typical Middle Eastern shawarma however still very good but bland in comparison to Yum Shawarma. The rice again very different it had strong hints of cumin and cinnamon and was very different than your typical middle eastern yellow rice, this rice was as close to biryani rice in flavor as it gets , very nice and spicy. I was also impressed with their salad not because the salad was different than you normally get anywhere else, but the dressing they used was just fantastic, it was tangy and yet a very nice hint of sweetness that went so perfectly with the spicy Shawarma meat and rice, the perfect salad dressing. I want the recipe!! The hot sauce was also very unique in flavor it had a strong kick again much different than typical middle eastern hot sauce, again it had hints of curries in it , for sure I could taste the Pakistani touches to this hot sauce however it has been made, very unique and tasty hot sauce. I would recommend you get it on the side if you don't have a tolerance as it has a good kick to it Service 5/5 was greeted by the owner who was very friendly and the service was great,  food was served within less than five minutes freshly cut off the rotating spit, doesn't get any fresher than that. Everything tasted fresh and looked fresh, the restaurant looked clean. If you're looking for shawarma with a kick and up ten notches in flavor, then check these guys out! In plaza for some errands and made a quick stop for Falafel wrap. The girl who took our order and prepared was a vegetarian and understood that we did not want any dairy or eggs (vegan). The wrap was filled with the fresh toppings and you could taste them. The falafel were bought from the kitchen freshly fried. The girl breaks the two falafels each into tiny pieces which made the wrap taste much better. The hot sauce wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be even after making mine spicy. The girl also cleans every things she touches either bare hands and changes gloves every minute or so. Which was amazing to see. The review gets an extra star for that. read more

We have our parents here in Canada past two months And due to Covid we haven't been to the outer world much having a new born at home! Obviously staying home and staying safe ! Once in a while we need to indulge ourselves in good food. We wanted to introduce the real Mediterranean shawarma to them as we are much used to eating a so called shawarma in India which is chicken mixed with mayonnaise and wrapped! So we ordered from Yum Shawarma hoping for things to go smooth. And hell yeah... they did justice to the food. We had ordered chicken shawarmas wrap and chicken shawarma plate with rice and fried with extra hot sauce ! They were just mindblowingly delicious! The wraps weren't dry af all. Enough amount of sauces ! And the plate was too lip smackingly good, but i would say the plate was on the pricey end but taste was worth it ! Will be my new go to place for shawarma ! read more

Hi Yelpers! Review update! Yesterday I did go to Yum Shawarma and I bought their fried chicken with fries and a drink combo. Did take a picture because it looked like a mess. However! It was enjoyable :) The batter they used for fried chicken is the same batter and spices for their pakora. Yummy in my tummy! The fries is always great. It taste like Costco fries haha. The price is little little pricey. You get 5 chicken wings and fair amount of fries. Other than that I enjoyed it. Guess what? I orders their chicken pakora today after seeing another person buy it yesterday. It is definitely worth the price. The spice is there, it's crunchy outside but perfectly juicy inside. So good!!! I am definitely a regular customer here. I spoke to one of the staff and the store is of Pakistani decent. Lovely! I told them how this is one of the closest shawarmas I've tasted that resembles home, Saudi Arabia :) read more

This place is a hidden gem! I feel like it needs more reviews! The food here is amazing! It's the spices they use and of course when you know it's a Pakistani place you can't go wrong with any food options! I usually get their chicken shawarma wrap, so yummy - I used to be all over osmows and lazeez, I've officially switched over! Their meat is ALWAYS fresh I find as opposed to the other places I've been too where it can be hit or miss with the fresh meat. Their fries are great, as other reviewers said very similar to Costco fries (wouldn't be surprised if they actually use their fries) but I love them so it didn't matter to me. Also love their crispy chicken burger! So juicy and the flavourful. Their wings are really good as well! Becoming a regular here and it's 5 min from my house!! (I'd still drive here from far! One of the best things i like about a family owned place is the perfection they try to achieve with every meal and the customised service! Ordered : chicken shawarma dinner and desi burger. The dinner was good with good quantity chicken and a good mix of sauces and veggies. The what i loved was the burger i had. The patty cake is extremely soft melt in the mouth and is not to be missed. Fantastic Pakistani spin on traditional Shawarma. The restaurant is located in a busy plaza with lots of other restaurants. Was in the area, and decided to give it a shot because I was looking for a 'healthy' option. Protein and salad. Ordering was easy, although it did take a few mins for the gentleman who was serving me to acknowledge me. While I was waiting, the phone rang, the guy picked it up, but thankfully he put them on hold to take my order. Was served up some delicious chicken and some salad consisting of ice berg lecture, diced tomatoes and dived cucumbers. Turnips, hummus, tahini, hot sauce, garlic sauce and hot peppers were also offered as accompaniments. There was also an ample portion of rice as well. The chicken was super tasty. A lot of place serve bland chicken but the spices were fantastic here. The salad was also delicious but the highlight for me was the hot sauce. Authentic, home made, delicious hot sauce that is not too spicy (for me at least) but definitely had a nice kick to it. $10.99 for shawarma was a bit on the pricy side but I would rather pay a bit more and get quality than to pay a bit less and not be happy with my meal. Cannot say enough good things about this place! Their service is excellent. You can tell they really care about their customers and they always greet you with a wonderful smile. The food is beyond delicious; every single time I come it's always made with care. I've recommended this place to a bunch of my friends and they all love it as well! I usually order the chicken shawarma wrap, which costs $5.99+tax. Super cheap! This is my favorite place for shawarma as I love how they marinate their chicken. Tastes sooo good! Their combo comes with fries and a canned pop for $2.99+tax, and the fries are great. Tastes exactly like costco fries (which are really good)! In the photo, my friend got the falafel platter which he always orders every time and we are never disappointed with our meals. Constant satisfaction every time. OVERALL 10/10!!! This is a small but very nice Shawarma place. However, they also serve Pakistani food. My husband and I split a chicken shawarma plate and absolutely loved it. Good portion and very moist chicken. My kids ordered the chicken burger and devoured it. We also ordered chicken wings and fries which were sub par. Overall I will be going back with my family. We went to Yum's to try their shawarma after reading all the reviews online. While we were there we also decided to try out their chicken zinger burger and Rabri Falooda. First the chicken shawarma was absolutely delicious. I have had shawarmas from multiple places but the flavour we found at Yum's was never found at any other shawarma hot spots. The sandwiches were loaded with sauces and the meat was nicely grilled. Second, their crispy chicken burger (aka chicken zinger burger) was a something to die for! If you have ever had zinger in Pakistan this will taste exactly the same. The chicken was nice and tender and I would definitely go black just to have the crispy chicken burger again. I wasn't a big fan of the rabri falooda as it had a taste of powdered milk and there are better spots for rabri falooda out there. Needless to say the shawarma and crispy chicken burger will bring me back to Yum's a lot more often than I thought. read more

Its a really good shwarma place for a family business. The food there are amazing with unique names and they have amazing customer service. The gentleman at the register was very nice and polite and so were the people making the food. Although $13.99 is a bit pricy. It definitely deserves the price. They actually put good effort into what there making unlike some restaurants. They put their sauce in a nice pattern making the sauce go on the entire dish (fires, chicken, etc...) making very bite equal. They have very fresh ingredients like their chicken, beef, sauce, their pitas. It's exactly how it should be, and it certainly lives up to its name. I do have some errands in Brampton from time to time so I'll definitely come back here if I am in Brampton. read more

Writing this review as I'm sharing a Chicken Shawarma Plate with my sister in the store. So good! My sister thinks it tastes better than Lazeez.
