I asked Randy which hardwood flooring is the most durable? He told me that ebony, cherry, live oak, or bamboo are the most durable choices. These extremely hard woods (and wood-like bamboo) wear well and are more resistant to minor damage than other options. Randy and his crew are wonderful! It was my fault for not calling within the 1st year, so that is on me, and they did make it right. I only paid for the paint (which is understandable that they would not keep every paint code in stock and a small labor fee) they told me that they have never seen that happen before and was probably because they were opened and closed so many times or near water. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I have SEVERAL cabinets, more than the average kitchen and the ones that were peeling and cracking were actually empty and had never been used. Only one was under the sink area that their theory would have made sense. I paid the extra for the protection, but even with that, if you barely bumped them the paint would chip off. I would not do this again in my permanent home but would do it for an Airbnb or a rental.
