When my technician arrived Matt who I had been here before I asked him a lot of questions because I wasn't sure if what I wanted to do would work. The service guy came to my house for an appointment on a Wednesday early afternoon. He pulled my toilet and told me it would need snaked but also I needed a new flange. He then told me he couldn't snake it because they only have one guy who does that and he was busy all day. He then said he couldn't do anything with the flange because he didn't have what he needed in his truck because it was a loaner truck because his truck broke down. He said his truck had basic, minimal supplies and that I would have to call to reschedule. He then asked me if I wanted my only toilet back down and of course I said yes because it's my only bathroom. I thought it was ridiculous that he even came out if he was not equipped to do anything that day but here we are a month later and I get a bill for almost $200. I'm appalled at this company for their unprofessionalism and feel completely ripped off and scammed and wonder if this is something they do regularly. Why would you even come out if you couldn't do anything? My time was wasted and quite frankly I could have pulled the toilet off and put it back on myself for free. I think being charged almost $200 is outrageous and I will never do business with this company again! read more

I called Northside Plumbing to come fix my sump pump. There were two issues a loud noise on the main pump and the back up pump wasn't properly working. They sent out Antonio Gaytan who was a great resource and quickly identified my problem. He fixed the main pump with a simple procedure and installed a new backup battery repairing my backup pump. Called them to come out and fix two issues. Explicitly told the person on the phone what was wrong and they said they'd send someone out. Person gets here and takes a quick look.. says there's nothing he can do nor would they normally be able to and recommends another number to call. I get a bill for 0.25hrs at $106/hr and a $79 service call charge for something that should have been stopped on the phone. I get they need to make money.. but do they expect anyone to call again after that? read more

NIPSCO turned off my gas because of a gas leaks in my basement. Called North Side and got it done on Monday morning. Reasonable prices, accommodating and friendly, and professional service person who got it done quickly according to the repairs. Wanted to do a plumbing project myself while off this weekend (BLACK FRIDAY). Ordered parts kit online for Wed delivery. Started the project, disassembled the faucet. Started to reassembly faucet. Laid kit out and found they left one of the 10 pieces of the kit OUT. Called local big box store that I ordered from - they have no kits in stock, nor do they carry any of the individual parts (especially the ONE gasket I needed). Trying to avoid calling a plumber for a fix I can handle, but did not want water off in home while another part was shipped. Called Northside Plumbing, explained situation (on morning of BLACK FRIDAY) and was told if I could make it before noon they had what I needed. I was there in 30 minutes and with help of the staff found part that was left out of my kit (very common part from very popular faucet maker) Thanks to their understanding and customer service, water was back on in my house an hour later. Our ejector (sewage) pump in the basement was being temperamental and I called North Side Plumbing to check it. Antonio arrived and determined it needed replaced. Mark brought a new pump and they completed the job together. Both guys are pleasant and enjoyable to talk with. I only gave one star because it would not let me give 1/2. I would NEVER use this company again. Write down the hours that they are in your house. They lie about the hours they work, charge you $140 an hour for them and will "adjust your bill" accordingly to make it look like they are doing you a favor. If you need plumbing work done, I highly suggest you use a sewer company that has the equipment to get the job done the right way. This company is a complete rip off and will lie to you. They did not get the job done, did not have the equipment or knowledge. I highly recommend Shoda or Genes sewer company. Stay away from Northside, it will cost you double. read more

Very expensive. They did a good job replacing a toilet, but the price was nearly $600. I noticed a lot of construction waste going down the pipe, but figured they knew what they were doing. They did--padding their bill. A few days later when my pipes clogged, they charged another $132 to come out and clear them. They claimed the problems were not related. Right. read more

Absolutely the best. They work clean, and can definitely solve your issue. They uncapped two dump pits that were covered with 8 inches of concrete each, installed a sump pump, and left it cleaner than when they began. John is willing m to work within your budget, but be realistic. They have to make money too. Not a discount service, but you get quality service at a fair price. read more
