I punctured a tire. They had me in and out in under an hour, and it was so reasonably priced I thought I was getting away with something.

This business scammed me, lied, made me waste my time and gas. I am disabled and brought my vehicle in for 3 hours of work and was without my vehicle for 5 DAYS!!! Not once was I called and told what was going on. The last day, I got a call to pick it up and I did and it was scraping and grinding.. did you even test drive this? What did you do? I was FORCED to leave it there ANOTHER night. Later I was told that you guys clipped a wire messing everything up when you were removing the brakes. Then you guys broke something in the front. I was told I would be refunded and now I'm told I won't be? This is insane. I am reporting this company to the DMV unless I am refunded my bill immediately. I brought my 2014 caravan in for an oil change and inspection. The cheapest oil change was $50. I left the vehicle and got a call later that the oil change was done but the inspection machine was down. A week earlier I was there for a broken valve stem on my winter tires. The changed it for free since it took all day but discarded my pressure sensor. During that time I heard the manager saying how the inspection machine was down so he hD to run to other dealers to get the stickers. I told him I needed the inspection done and I know he went to other dealers to get it finished. He told me to come in at 3p. I came in, he didn't hand me a receipt. I asked if they put a mileage sticker he said well they are supposed to. When I got in my van...no sticker. Fortunately I wrong the milage down. The next day my check engine light was on. I got the code read after work ( didn't drive it) it was oil pressure switch high. I checked and my dipstick was way past full. Literally above the notch! Fortunately I had only drove 12 miles. I tried to go there 15 minutes before close but everyone was gone. I left it before work this morning. Finally reached the store at 730. Manager isn't there. Guy watching the counter said I'll take a message. How do you overfill someone's oil? I told him I want documentation so I guess I have to wait for John to come in. Nov 2 update: The store owner posted a response that said I could call him/her, then gave the same phone number and said any of the customer service agents could help me. I called the number on Oct 23, was on hold for 30 minutes before anyone answered, then spoke to a very kind young woman, probably in India?, who reviewed my case number and said I would hear something from them within 24-48 hours. It's been 11 days and haven't heard anything. I am an older woman on a fixed budget. Why is it such a big deal to them to let me return the unused tire that wasn't appropriate for my car, and reimburse me $65.00 + tax? Here's the whole story: While leaving a parking lot, I hit a curb and destroyed my right front tire. There was a Mr. Tire store immediately next door on Erie Blvd, so I drove slowly to it. The young woman at the front desk sold me a buy 1 get 1 free pair of tires for $129.99 plus tax. One replaced the destroyed tire, and the other went in my trunk for a back up. Less than a month later, my left front tire was losing air and we found a nail in it. I returned to Dunn Tire in Dewitt, where I originally bought that tire. I was told that AWD vehicles should always have four of the same tires on them. This also was confirmed by Subaru. Dunn replaced the tire with a nail in it at a big discount because it was covered under their road hazard warranty, then replaced the Mr. Tire tire with one that matched the other three, also at a discount. They checked the alignment and it was way off. I received a computerized printout from the alignment check. Mr. Tire's invoice says they did an alignment check, but obviously they did not. Neither I nor apparently the woman who sold me the tires knew about all four tires on an AWD needing to match. Why is she selling tires if she doesn't know this? Did she have any training? I returned to Mr. Tire and asked to return the brand new unused tire. The tire that had replaced my destroyed tire had 140 miles on it. The sales clerk was unable to reach the store manager, so gave me a phone number to call. In the meantime I was looking over the invoice and noticed they had charged me an extra $42.50 for the installation and fees on two tires instead of only one tire. I have a feeling many people wouldn't have noticed this. Eventually, after calling the number given to me and being on hold forever, I was told they would refund the $42.50, but not give me anything for the brand new unused tire. I posted a review on yelp.com, and there was a reply from Mr. Tire aka Monro saying their goal is 100% customer satisfaction and gave me a number to call - the same number. So I called the number again, and after a long hold, was able to talk to someone and gave them all the information they needed. I was told they would put in a "complaint", someone would review it, and get back to me soon. They gave me a case reference number. After over a week, when I hadn't heard anything from them, I called again. Again was on hold forever waiting for someone to answer. Eventually spoke to someone, had to repeat the entire story even though I gave them the reference number. I doubt anyone ever looked at the "complaint". They called the Mr. Tire store and one of the things they told me was the "manager said I insisted on only replacing one tire." I never saw the manager, much less talked to him/her, and didn't insist on only installing one tire --- I only needed one tire to replace the destroyed one. They eventually agreed to refund the $42.50 overcharged fees, but not anything for the tire which they never should have sold me. What store doesn't refund an unused item within a reasonable time? Target has refunded me almost a year after I bought something and always refunds clothes that don't fit and other purchases. Walmart, and Amazon also refund both new and used items. I had to tell them Monro already received the $42.50 refund. They didn't even know that! Wish I hadn't told them. Mr. Tire/Monro are liars and crooks. They don't care about their customers; they only care about making as much as they can by cheating. Several years ago I had gone to Monro and was overcharged. They refused to refund the overcharge and offered a credit if I made another purchase. Bottom line: avoid Mr. Tire. The sales people at Dunn know what they are doing and won't sell you tires you don't need. They stand by their warranty, and before you drive away with new tires they will check the alignment and print out the computerized report. read more

I don't know that I've ever met service writers who were more rude and listened less, every time I come in there I feel like I'm inconveniencing them. Told them I had seized lug nuts on a completely undrivable tire I needed help with. Told me to "put the lug nuts back on and drive it over." Did you not listen or don't care? Want me to drive on just a wheel? Their suggestion, "what do you want us to do about it?" Oh I don't know, make a suggestion other than destroying another part of my car? I'd rather spend 2 hours in 35 degrees with two inguinal hernias to loosen up seized lug nuts IN YOUR PARKING LOT than to ever spend another penny in your shop (which is what I did). How bad I think your shop is? I finished putting on my donut and drove to Empire to have them put my snows on instead of walking back inside to ask y'all. read more

Went there for tires and inspection. They took ten bucks off price of tires fast. Weird, I now know why. They charged me for an inspection and claim they did one. Told me breaks were bad, ball joints shot, pads and rotors non existent. I went there knowing I had a broken leaf spring bracket and it never came up in inspection. Hmmmm. That part of inspection was visual and they got a price margin to achieve. NYS inspection is a racket. Be careful with these guys. I add them to the do not trust list. read more

Brought my car in for a flat tire repair I knew exactly where the nail in my tire was, the middle. Told me they could not repair the tire because "the nail was too close to the side" and told me I would need to purchase 4 new tires. I took my car so where else and they were able to plug the tire for $20. This place tries to take advantage of young woman and make them pay for more services they do not need. I would not recommend Mr Tire to anyone. read more

I had 2 tires with low air loss having to put air in them 1 to 2 times a week. During a 3 month period I brought them to a Auto Garage in Chittenango twice and Dunn Tires twice and they kept leaking air. So I decided to try Mr. Tire and they fixed the problem. They found a nail in one tire and the rim one the other tire needed to be cleaned up due to debris. And I've had no problem since. Shame on the other two places that couldn't find the issue after I brought my car to each of you twice. For now on I'm going to Mr. Tire. They've proven to me to be the better place to take my business. And saving money in the long run. read more

Went in for a brake job. Because of a mix up with the supplier we had to wait a bit longer for the right pads. The guys there are so friendly and the place was very clean! The manager JP was so apologetic but it truly was not his fault. I will definitely be back with both my vehicles for service! read more

Stopped in because I had just broken my drivers side window, it had come out of the track. It was stuck halfway open and I couldn't move it. Really unfortunate as it had been raining. The manager and tech came out and were able to get it back closed and working in no time. They didn't charge me a dime and were awesome. Will definitely go back for other service. read more

We called 10 stores MR TIRE on Erie Blvd had the best price. They were able to fit us in even though they were very busy. read more

If I could rate this place no stars I would. They lied about a tire issue and take advantage of women and or seniors. They caused frustration for my family member and it continued for several weeks. The problem finally got resolved but of course for more money. read more
