Crepe Castle on a weekend is jam packed with hungry patrons who've all come here to have brunch…read more Service here is relaxed and easy. Our server came to take our orders. I opted for Royal #5 which came with a choice of sausage or bacon, eggs, your choice of toast, fried potatoes, and a small crepe served with fruit. Plus if you order coffee with your meal it is bottomless, and you can top it up with your own coffeepot so you can enjoy more than one cup of coffee at a time. Bring your squad, a date, some friends, and family to take a break from the daily grind. My squad likes to dine out for breakfast to start our weekends off right. We are creatures of habit and we like to indulge in a relaxing meal together to unwind after a long work week.

The home fries are crunchy and flavourful, and the fruit was very sweet. It was very busy because of Mother's Day. I had the big breakfast. The eggs and bacon were perfectly cooked and the potatoes came out yummy. It also came with a pancake and it was sooo good. The pancake was the best. One friend had the vegetarian tartine. It was flavourful and nourishing. It could have had more cheese but he would love to have it again. Another one had the Eggs Florentine. She said it was a luxurious mouthful and would get again. I highly recommend the this place for breakfast. The staff were friendly and place had a cozy vibe. Love it.

I noticed Sunset Grill next door. I made a mental note of it and had a late lunch there on Saturday. I parked steps away from the place. There is plenty of parking. I walked in. I saw the sign to seat yourself. I did just that. My first impression was the service. I sat there for five minutes without getting a menu. One server came over and said hi, asked how I was, and then walked away. I still didn't have a menu. Forget about asking for cutlery. I walked in at around 2 pm. There were roughly five tables with folks dining. I wouldn't consider it to be overly hectic. There was a woman sweeping the floors the whole time while I waited for a menu. Interesting. Another server came over and asked what I'd like to drink. Since I visit Sunset Grill fairly regularly, I went with a Diet Coke. When my Diet Coke and glass with ice came, I got a menu. It seemed a bit backwards. Anyway, I was pleased to finally get a menu and decide what I wanted to have. I ordered my usual, which is three slices of French toast, with a side order of corned beef hash. I got brown toast. My meal took no time to make. I was hungry and happy to have food in front of me. The food quality is consistent with Sunset Grill. This place makes French toast so well that you get extra fried egg that is hanging off each slice. I love the extra snack! The corned beef hash had nice crispy parts. So flavourful! I was happy. I asked for the bill. Normally, you pay at the front counter. The server actually came over with a machine, as I used my credit card. It was a nice touch. I also got a lollypop. The women's washroom is a single stall. It was clean and you get a hook on the door. I am hoping that service can improve here. Otherwise, it's a good place to have a late lunch on the weekend. (165)

The pan cake was the only thing that's OK but a let down considering that's what I came here for as they used to be sooooooo good and fluffy. I sense that they must have changed owner.
