Such a nice little touch, and it was actually good. While looking over the menu, I also loved seeing that they offer senior citizen specials. I'm already looking forward to coming back with my mom--she loves fresh seafood! The biggest reason I'll be returning, though, is the seafood selection and the fact that you don't have to get everything fried. That is a HUGE plus for me. I ordered the blackened stuffed flounder, and it was packed with flavor and extremely fresh. The two sides I chose were delicious as well, (cheese grits, sweet potato) and the selection of sides on the menu is extensive, so there are plenty of options to choose from. I also ordered a glass of white wine, which came in the prettiest glass. The atmosphere is another thing I really liked. It can be slightly dressy or super casual, making it a great spot for different occasions. I also loved having both booth and table seating options. My friend and I had amazing service from start to finish. Between the prices, portions, service, ambiance, and flavor of everything we tried, this was an easy 5/5 stars for me. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

It's also a seafood market you can literally purchase everything you need to make your own crab tray/boil at home. You can also purchase live crabs and other seafood. This is now ritual for me every time I come to Jacksonville. This place is super affordable since we all know how much seafood can cost these days. All food comes cold (EBT people can purchase) but they will heat your food up for you at request. They add all the seasonings and garlic butter before heating. You can ask for extra seasoning and spice. They also do sell snow crabs legs. However I am a blue crab girl and these are literally some of the best garlic crabs I have ever had! The garlic tray is good portion for the price. The service is good because they get you in and out. I've never had an issue with anyone being rude but it does help to know what you want. If you're ever in Jacksonville run don't walk and head over to JCs I promise you will not be disappointed!!

Upon walking in my husband and I were greeted by the hostess and you'll see a big chalkboard with their weekly specials. We were sat in the back by a window so it was nice to have a view. Everything looked good on the menu. We started off with shrimp and some oysters and the oysters were topped with collard greens and cheese they were good but the oysters were just HUGE! For my entree I had a shrimp po'boy with a side of the bacon collards again they were really good. My only issue is that for my po'boy the bread was not a roll but it was still satisfying. My husband had the fish platter with grouper and trigger fish with fries and coleslaw. We absolutely loved the grouper it reminded me of red snapper. For the short quick review, good food, great prices, great service, good atmosphere…read more I had written a long detailed review and accidentally hit the back button and it deleted so this review will not be as long as my first. I believe in honest food reviews so here is my take. When I come to Florida my go-to is the fried seafood platter. When I was looking for seafood restaurants near me I came across this place with great reviews and decided to check their menu. $22.99 for a seafood platter that included all my favorites. I knew for that price I had to check it out. When we pulled up, I realized this is the same place we had eaten at about 11 years ago but could not find again since it is not very close to the place we stay usually and is off the main road so not easy to locate. I am happy to say everything I remembered about the place was still the same. The food was good, the service was good, and we liked the atmosphere. Our server's name was Amy and she was very pleasant and friendly and did a great job. Thank you amy! I will go a little more detailed about the food. Don't get me wrong, you aren't going to get the quality of a fish camp where the fish and chips are 30 plus dollars. However I am not made of money and don't want to spend over $40 for a seafood platter. Everything on the platter was really good and for $22.99 you can't beat it! It came with three or four pieces of fish, plenty of shrimp, oysters, scallops, clam strips, and a crab cake. I like the fact that the fried fish on the platter was either flounder or cod, your choice, which is much better than some places that only give you tilapia. The platter also comes with two side items which I got French fries that were really good and crispy, and cheese grits which were also really good. Both side items I will definitely be getting again. For dessert, you can't go wrong with the key lime pie. Overall, this place is a Hidden Gem in my opinion. The prices are great for the quality of food that you get and somewhere I look forward to returning year after year. In fact we are here for another 5 days and there is a good chance I will be back before we leave!

The FGT were ok and a bit under seasoned, but the flounder and that sauce were great! Silky, creamy and tender! Our server was very kind and checked on us without hovering. Charity was helpful in offering suggestions, as well. Over all it was fun, good company and food. The parking leaves a lot to be desired where you're more than likely going to park along the street away from the restaurant.
