Damn, this place is pretty fly. I've passed by it but I'd never gone in for a meal until today…read more I've always been fascinated by the coffee brewing in all the science like glass wear. It drips and percolates and fumigates and yeah I know nothing about coffee. Even with the modern look of the cafe it still has it's homely pleasures with the solid wooden and metal tables. The menu maintains traditional cafe meals while exploring flavour combinations which sound, look and TASTE impressive. Order at the counter. Pay at the counter. Take your number and take a seat. The service is very fast. It was our waitress's first day. She had been trained very professionally and knew her stuff. Big breakfast for myself and a breakfast gnocchi for the wife. I know. Breakfast pasta? Could such a thing work? My wife being the pasta-holic that she is needed to try it out. The big breakfast was excellent. The eggs (scrambled) were perfect. Everything perfect. Even the pile of smashed avocado, sitting in the centre of my plate like a fat green blob, tasted great. Avocado usually freaks me out. The breakfast gnocchi was amazing but became overwhelming in the later half of the meal. The gnocchi itself was the creamiest clouds of potato yum-yum I'd ever had. The crispy potato skins added wisps of texture throughout the meal. The tomato chutney sauce was delicious but was also the reason why the flavours become too intense. Two coffees and two meals came to a solid $51. A bit steep but it was very tasty and well worth it. Kept us full all morning and early afternoon. We'd return here again.

In all honesty I was surprised how awesome this place actually was. In front of the Coles you would…read morenot look twice, but this would be a mistake as this little cafe is great! Now as it is in a shopping center the atmosphere is not as hipster as other cafes, but for once I think we can get over the place of a cafe, if the food and coffee are worth it. The best thing here is the food. Firstly it came out quite quickly, and I was starving at the time, this was greatly appreciated. Secondly, it was fantastic! Worth every cent that I paid for. Now, I've only come here for breakfast so no idea how good the lunch is. When the coffee came out I was slightly anxious. Would be as good as the food? It was a good cup, but not the best cup of coffee I've ever had, hence why only 4-stars. However, I think it is better than all the other cafes in the center. So if you are in the area, this cafe is definitely worth the visit.

I have been coming to 'Provence Garden Cafe' for many years now. The menu is sizable but not overwhelming, the food is good, the atmosphere with greenery and a rock pool with fish in the corner is excellent. The best thing about this place, however, is the service. In the many years I have been coming, I only had one poor experience. I noticed the waitress on that occasion was not present thereafter. I constantly give tips which is not something I do often. There is no pretension, attention is easy to obtain yet privacy at other times is given. In short, they are always accommodating and respectful. Yes the owner and the staff are Asian but their understanding of English is ample to run a cafe. Oh, and no music (let alone blaring). I also love the fact that it is a business in its own right i.e. outside a shopping centre. It is also close to Eastwood train station which has a busy bus stop alongside it. Note: this does not affect the cafe as it is surprisingly well insulated against sound. I am thankful to 'Yelp' for giving us (i.e. me in this instance) an opportunity to communicate all the above to others. I am also thankful to the owner(s) and staff (over the years) for keeping this business open - and for keeping it up over such a lengthy period of time. Thank-you reader for your time and attention.

We like it cause it gives you lots of options and the portion size is quite hefty. We like the atmosphere cause it's outside and the people are great, but one thing is that the language barier is a little short. Other than that the food is great and I think the pictures should speak for themselves.

On…read moremy way to another place that I couldn't find, I stumbled across this little cafe/coffee spot. I did not return but I had to leave a good review because the customer service was great. The barista and who I believe might have been a manager were both extremely friendly and accommodating to this weary traveler. The coffee was okay which is why I didn't go back (and only reason for 4 stars instead of 5) but I can say it was good just not great. That said, I loved the vibe of this quaint lil' spot. The food did look good. I was just to tired to order any. Lol.

Once again a review gets a ding because the dish served did not match the menus description. I…read morepicked this restaurant solely on the fact that they have fairy floss (aka cotton candy!) on the maple waffles. Also listed on the menu for the dish was bananas and there were neither. Now, I know what you are going to say- they are just the finished- the actual maple waffles were there and it was pretty- but that does not make it ok! If the restaurant does not have the ingredients for a dish and said ingredients ARE ON THE MENU DESCRIPTION- don't freakin serve it until you have verified with the customer that the substitutions are acceptable- give them a chance to pick something else or go ahead with the order. Then - don't charge them full price of $16 with not so much as an I'm sorry. Super adorable place- instagrammable for sure- if only the dish was as advertised.
