Trio is a cute cafe located in the heart of Bondi Beach. They have indoor and outdoor seating, if…read moreyou can snag a seat outside. It's got a nice little view of the ocean. They have a killer breakfast menu that's served all day. Took my family here when they were visiting from the states. We ordered the Mediterranean breakfast which came with poached eggs with truffle oil on olive sourdough, served with char-grilled haloumi, crispy pancetta, semi-dried tomatoes, spinach & chorizo! Very delicious, I highly recommend. We also ordered the trio tasting plate so we could have a little bit of everything. My husband ordered the shakshouka (middle eastern breakfast) it was ok, we were expecting more from this dish, it was a bit bland. They offer some great coffee! If you're in the mood for some booze, they offer some great cocktails, beer, and wine. The staff are friendly and the place is always packed. I would recommend making a reso before you show up.

It was a busy Sunday afternoon but we accepted the 1 hr wait and boy was is worth it! The food was amazing!!! I had the brunch breakfast burrito and being a Cali girl it was hard to order because you know all the awesome Mexican food is in SoCal :D if not Mexico, it was so yum! My breakfast burrito was deconstructed and delicious. Look at my photos, the burrito included chorizo cooked fancy, spiced up perfectly scrambled eggs and flour tortillas (or corn tortillas). I also had a bit of my aunty's white truffle oil scramble eggs WOW! I will never be able to eat normal scrambled eggs again! We will definitely return before we leave Australia! I forgot to mention how wonderful and helpful the waitresses and hostess are! My apologies for the multiple updates as my international cellphone and wireless connection at our temp home was acting up.

It is a great spot to…read morevisit if you want to head to the beach for a swim or do the coastal walk or have a beer at the local pub. However if you are looking for somewhere to have a meal, look no further than Clovelly Social House. Located close to the beach and opposite the pub, you will find parking easily and it's also free. Clovelly Social House offers a relaxed dining experience, quality food and a great place to catch up with friends and family, or just dine with that special someone. Clovelly Social House is open for breakfast lunch and dinner and on this occasion we visited for dinner. This place could be described as a cafe by day, bistro by night. At night, the food on offer is a good mix of modern Australian/Mediterranean/Middle Eastern. With a new winter menu that will help embrace the cool weather, to be enjoyed with a nice glass of wine from their list. The mixed board is a must and a great option to share. This board is a tasty mix of salmon croquettes, lamb kafta, grilled haloumi chorizo and mushroom arancini. The sauce served with the mushroom arancini was so good it should be bottled. For our mains, we shared the pan fried gnocchi served in a delicious creamy truffle sauce and we almost put in a requst for some bread to mop up any sauce left behind because we loved it so much. We also shared the crispy skin salmon which had a middle eastern flare and a bit of a spice kick to it. Thankfully we managed to spare some room for dessert, the tiramisu was nice but the blueberry cheesecake literally took the cake. It is worth visiting Clovelly Social House for this alone. It is a lighter version of cheese cake that is not overly dense, it was a beautiful dessert with a creamy cloud like texture and one of our favourite desserts of the year thus far. The staff at Clovelly Social House we're friends and hospitable and you will enjoy your visit here.

I would've rated this place a 5 star, BUT, when we first sat down, the waitress brought us water and some glasses, but the glasses had lipstick on them!! Such a let down since I was so thirsty and wanted to drink water right away! Haha The waitress was apologetic and super nice about it, but had that not happened, it would've been an absolutely perfect experience. Hope they're more careful next time and that doesn't happen to you!

We came in a couple times…read morefor coffee, every time we did come in, it was nice and lively but not crazy busy where the wait would take forever. The coffee was nice and they have a good selection of milk alternative although no macadamia milk which I view as an Aussie treat so I always ask about it. I also had a smoothie one day and it was so good! I had mixed berry and mango and the most delicious thing is that they put cinnamon in their smoothies, which apparently is a thing that people do, but this is the first I've ever experienced so now I'm going to do that at home when I make a smoothie!! I was only in their for food once and I had a delicious toast covered in house-baked beans with a perfectly poached egg. It was one of their daily specials which I saw on a chalkboard. Their regular menu had lots of options. The baked beans on toast thing gave me inspiration for breakfast food at home too! The service was great! Since I had gone in there a couple times, I should have asked for my server's name but she was absolutely lovely! It's like she knew exactly when I was ready to order, ready for coffee, ready for more water, etc and she was so kind and great. This a cafe is a nice, cozy, inspiring neighbourhood gem!

AVERAGE at best…read more Mr/Ms Gordons owner. Keep the Cafe, the location, the menu... but get rid of your staff! They're miserable! I've tried too many times to go back and "give it another shot" because I want it to be better than the last time, but one bad experience after another at Gordon's makes me permanently move the 4-5 minutes up the road to somewhere else. Food is ok, standard - but ok. It's the staff that are the worst. Every. Single. Time. I'm disappointed by the staff at Gordons. Order a take away coffee to a rude lady behind the counter who ignores you for 10 min before looking up. Only to wait a further up to 20 min (yes 20 min) on a takeaway coffee, then when you go up and ask if it's far away, you get glared at and handed a coffee without any words. They had a steady stream of customers, but by no accounts were so busy that the 3 people behind the counter could not get a take away coffee done in 20 min. Dine in is no better. 15 min for someone to clear a table (on a quiet day), a further 20 min for a menu, a further 15 min for someone to come back to take an order, a further 15 min for a Soda bottle to be brought to the table all while the wait staff ignore you and chat to each other.. and honestly, look miserable. In saying this, there is 1 nice lady who works there. In summary, walk the 5 min up the road and go somewhere else. Here are some of my favs to get you started. The Village Man and Monkey Clodelly

The view of the Bondi Beach and the water was also spectacular. Pairing it with good company and deliciously appetizing meal, couldn't have asked for better. There was nothing short of the staff either. All were friendly and accommodating. Upon entry, we checked in with identification and was directed by the host as to where we can be seated. We were presented with a menu of their selection for the season and ordered through the bar where each order was given a buzzer. Pick-up of said order would be at the kitchen, not far from the host stand. Every dish looked scrumptious! I ordered ricotta gnocchi to share and absolutely loved it. There were roasted vegetables that was an absolute perfection and the gnocchi filled with ricotta cheese checked all the boxes for me! That was delectable! I also had the mussel napolatina which I enjoyed with gusto. I wish that dining experience never ended.

It also came with a small salad that had a citrus vinaigrette type dressing that was very refreshing. There aren't any waitstaff here.
