Ingredients are so fresh. We added a cacao smoothie at the end and it was perfect. The service was impeccable - kind, efficient, friendly. The vibe inside was like a cafe but it's a "deli". All in all it only cost about $50 USD! Recommend!

It was a weekday late morning and we could tell this place must be good because there were so many people! But we were able to get a table quickly. We both ordered the banana maple hazelnut ricotta french toast and it was to die for. I also ordered the hash browns, which are not done justice on the menu where they are just described as "hash." They're these wonderfully crispy little nests of potato with green onion mixed in. So good. My only knock is that I ordered a cold brew right off the bat and I never got it until I asked for it again after our breakfast arrived. The server didn't bring any cream with it to the table and she dropped it off too fast for me to realize and ask. But perhaps that's just a custom thing and they don't do cream in cold brew in Australia? Either way, not a big deal.

I have lived and worked in the area for quite a number of years and have walked past this place…read moremany times with intrigue until eventually I set my targets on going there. It's taken three attempts to get a seat in here as this place is exceptionally popular due to its great coffee, food , relaxed vibe as well as brilliantly combined cafe and book store concept. I got excited when I knew I had finally achieved the goal of making it to the counter to order. The menu was on a cute kids book and I decided to order Chai Tea and the Pesto eggs. The place is famous for their Chai tea which comes out in a Tea pot and its freshly brewed. They provide you with a colander to use when pouring it. The chai was so authentic and beautifully spiced. It was so fresh and the tea pot allowed you to have about 2 1/2 cups so ensured you could savour the flavour. The chai had options for Soy , full cream milk , skim or Almond Milk. The Pesto eggs came out on a bread board which consisted of Iggy bread ( famous bread - and for reason, it was delicious) and a mini frying pan for the eggs. The eggs were fried and cooked with Pesto which gave it a beautiful basil and garlic flavour. The combination of rocket and almonds combined perfectly to give it an extra crunchy flavour. The bread was perfect for dipping in the eggs along with the labor dip on the side which gave a beautiful sour taste. When you set your expectations so high sometimes you get disappointed but this wasn't one of those occasions. The experience was very enjoyable from start to finish and can see why people don't want to movie when they visit this place cause their is enough chai and books to make anyone happy forever.

They have a killer breakfast menu that's served all day. Took my family here when they were visiting from the states. We ordered the Mediterranean breakfast which came with poached eggs with truffle oil on olive sourdough, served with char-grilled haloumi, crispy pancetta, semi-dried tomatoes, spinach & chorizo! Very delicious, I highly recommend. We also ordered the trio tasting plate so we could have a little bit of everything. My husband ordered the shakshouka (middle eastern breakfast) it was ok, we were expecting more from this dish, it was a bit bland. They offer some great coffee! If you're in the mood for some booze, they offer some great cocktails, beer, and wine. The staff are friendly and the place is always packed. I would recommend making a reso before you show up.

It was a busy Sunday afternoon but we accepted the 1 hr wait and boy was is worth it! The food was amazing!!! I had the brunch breakfast burrito and being a Cali girl it was hard to order because you know all the awesome Mexican food is in SoCal :D if not Mexico, it was so yum! My breakfast burrito was deconstructed and delicious. Look at my photos, the burrito included chorizo cooked fancy, spiced up perfectly scrambled eggs and flour tortillas (or corn tortillas). I also had a bit of my aunty's white truffle oil scramble eggs WOW! I will never be able to eat normal scrambled eggs again! We will definitely return before we leave Australia! I forgot to mention how wonderful and helpful the waitresses and hostess are! My apologies for the multiple updates as my international cellphone and wireless connection at our temp home was acting up.
