We had to come home a few hours after they treated our house, but we're reassured it was safe, although there might be a bit of a lingering chemical smell. There was one mostly in my bedroom, which is the access to the attic where the worst ofvthe mold was. Within an hour, I had a reaction to their process, but bear in mind I react to a lot of things. This morning I sent them an email about it, and got a call back as soon as they received it. They sent a team out right away with an all natural mold killer and some solution to neutralize any lingerichemicals there might be. I'm so impressed with them! This company lost my business because they could not be bothered to call me back. You have to wait for someone to call you to schedule, and if you don't answer when they call -- good luck. Despite me leaving them multiple messages stating I am waiting to hear back and schedule, they ignored it. If this is how you treat someone with mold problems wanting your business, I have serious reservations about the quality of the work and the people who operate the business. read more

WARNING - BE AWARE THAT YOU ABSOLVE THIS COMPANY OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE WHEN YOU ACCEPT THEIR QUOTE. I wanted to write a great review of this company. Their account guy, Kenny, was really nice and helpful. I accepted a quote for just under $3k to remove mold in a 4ft by 4ft corner of a ceiling and sanitize the basement below. I did not read the conditions before I accepted the quote. I learned later that the company takes zero responsibility for any and all damage they may do to your home or its contents. They ended up doing $2200 worth of damage including the tenant's hours spent removing a substance strong enough to corrode metal. It bleached clothing, ruined metal objects including a watch, and left a wet sticky residue in puddles on the floor and on every item in the basement. When we left, everything was covered in plastic, so I had no concerns. When we returned after the recommended 6 hours, we were told that the plastic had been removed so that the substance could disinfect the fabrics. The crew were very nice but extremely young and likely very inexperienced. When we told Kenny about the damaged items, he apologized profusely and said the company would cover whatever it takes to fix this. So, I went ahead and paid the invoice. Later, his management told me his verbal assurances were not authorized. I personally covered the cost to reimburse my tenants. Their renters insurance and my owners insurance would not cover it because they said Mr. Mold was liable & we needed to sue them. I approved the quote and accepted the conditions. So that's my fault for not reading it fully. But when I repeatedly asked for an explanation in writing of how this happened, my questions were ignored. They offered me $1000 as a "good will" gesture but firmly refused to explain how this happened or admit that they screwed up. They would not release the $1k unless I signed an agreement not to write a review or disparage their company in any way. It felt like a bribe. I turned it down so that I could share my experience. It is worth it to me. Use your own judgement as to whether or not you want to work with these guys. If you do, be sure to read the fine print and protect your property yourself! read more

For a little historical context, I noticed 2yrs ago a major mold outbreak in the lower level of my home (which apparently had been spreading for a little while, unbeknownst to any, as it encroached into seemingly every square inch of that level before it was noticed), and due to the professional remediation costs I was seeing (and because it wasn't black mold), I initially attempted to tackle it myself. It was a massively tedious undertaking that cost less money but A LOT more time and energy, and apparently I never even located/treated the actual source of the issue. So, after 2yrs I began seeing some things I'd previously cleaned reinfected again. Somewhat demoralized and not wanting to go thru such a tedious process of self-help remedies again, I decided to look for a company that could come and take care of it the right way. Mr. Mold to the rescue!!!! I searched thru many companies and the many stellar reviews are one of the reasons I had confidence to call Mr. Mold. And once I did, the friendly, welcoming, stellar customer service and extensive care from the very beginning is what put me over the top and gave me the confidence to hire Mr. Mold for the job. And I was glad I did! I first dealt with Cassandra and she became my main point of contact and quickly one of my favorite people to talk to, ever! She set me up with a free inspection and that person (Dave), was also great in informing me of the situation and services and also found the source of the mold issue right away and saw where it was spreading to in some of the surrounding areas. He pointed out mold growth on exposed wood under the stairs that did not even look like mold to the untrained eye. They came up with a game plan and a quote with multiple options to tackle and rectify the issue at hand. If I have one drawback about the process of services provided, it would be that- though everyone I dealt with was super professional, kind and gracious- I dealt with a lot of different people....and one person who via email introduced himself as the main project manager for my job, I never actually met in person and to my knowledge was never actually on the job site after saying he would be there as my first point of contact to further discuss issues and concerns I wanted to bring to his attention in person. Though he did take personal time out of his day to speak with me over the phone (which was appreciated), even while driving and pulled over to get more information about my particular job so that he himself could be more informative. And I'm not suggesting that his not being on site hindered in any way the handling of my job or their service provided, only that it became somewhat cumbersome to me to continue to speak to various persons and attempt to tediously convey my major concerns each time. And there were some things along the way got lost in translation. Things happen, jobs get back logged or run long, whatever the reason(s) I understand things come up and they obviosuly trust everyone at each level to be informed and take care of every issue that arises. All in all their services were well rendered and Robert who was on the job site doing the main cleaning service took care of every cleaning issue pointed out and even returned to do more and re-inspect after I contacted them for another walkthru to help alleviate potential concerns and so I could also be a little more informed on the finality of the job as a whole. The warranty provided to back their services is greatly appreciated, as is the customer service and support that has been constantly provided. If you have any issue with mold, I highly recommend giving Mr. Mold a chance and having them take the issue head on. Hopefully, like myself and many others, you'll be glad you did! I called Mr. Mold immediately once I noticed back mold in my living room. They came out the very next day to inspect and made a follow up appointment within a couple days after for the remediation. They were quick, efficient and very knowledgeable. They explained everything very thoroughly and took plenty of photos I've used to forward to my insurance company along with their detailed receipt.
