A distinctly mixed experience. On the plus side, the transparency is good (showing you the oil/filter in its original packaging before installation); the process is good (they shout out the steps as they are being performed; they check the lights, tires and air filters); and the service is friendly (drink offered; address you by your name). On the negative side is the upsell - you go in for an oil change with an engine flush and you are pressured to consider any number of additional services. All well and good if there is actual evidence that the work needs doing (lights that are blown; air filters that are clearly dirty); but others are recommended without any evidence that there are necessary (replace your spark plugs? clean your fuel lines? replace your transmission oil?). My advice - negotiate the price for any work that you actually would value being done (expect to get at least 1/3 off the quoted price) and refuse any work for which there is no proof that it is required for your specific vehicle (do not buy into the argument that "the manufacturer recommends this work be done every 10,000KM"). That way, you will get the basics done at a reasonable price and can agree to whatever optional services you might actually value without paying the high mark up in the listed price. read more

I went there to change a single tire but because they had people waiting to change winter tires they pushed me aside and said comeback tomorrow this job will take too long.They just didn't want to waste time on my one little tire. I went to 175 Wendall instead and it took 20 minutes in total and it was 10 dollars less. Mr. Lube is a rip off! read more

I went in to have my tire pressure checked and they checked my oil and saw that it was very low. I had it topped up and it probably saved my engine from damage. read more

Went in for an oil change after about 14 months since the last one. Way over do to say the least. They highly recommended an Engine Flush for $50, but then dropped it to $20 since this was the first time at Mr. Lube with my current vehicle. I agreed and they used a bottle of Kleen-Flo Engine Flush which costs around $7, so for $13 more they were doing all the labour which is a decent deal. I then got a standard oil change with aftermarket oil filter. That cost $49.99 + $3.00 + $0.25 environmental fee + taxes = $60.16 all in for just the oil change. I was told that the $3.00 was also an environmental fee, but was unsure since it was labelled "additional parts" or something like that. I had a coupon for free Michelin wiper blades, which I just installed at home since they were too busy to do it for me. Similar Michelin blades at Costco are usually $10 to $12, so I saved $20 minimum there (they said the value was $26 each at Mr. Lube, HAH!). Overall, I was there about an hour on a Sunday from waiting in the line to drive into the garage, then do the engine flush, and oil change. They cleaned my front and rear windshields, topped up air in my tires, and checked my air filter. Oh, they tried to sell me a new air filter for $40 - I politely declined. But since my air filter was actually pretty dirty - they showed it to me - I went to Canadian Tire and bought a new one for $11+tax. Took me less than 10 minutes to install it without any tools in my driveway at home. Overall, not bad. It may be a bit more expensive than other places, but this location is close to home for me. read more

This place is great, the staff are super helpful and fast. Everything is explained clearly and you can be a part of the process of whatever they're doing every step of the way. Deshawn is very nice! My experience could not have been worse. I took my car into Mr. Lube for a coolant flush and oil change. The next day my car overheated on the highway because of a damaged heating/cooling system. I took it into Canadian Tire Auto Centre to fix the damage, and Mr. Lube asked me to drop off the Canadian Tire receipt saying they would start an investigation into what happened. Mr. Lube Management then waited 4 days to contact me, asking me to track down the original radiator tubes Canadian Tire had to replace. Mr. Lube has said, THREE TIMES they would follow up with me to resolve this and on each occasion never did. Overall I had to spend over $500 on a simple coolant flush and oil change. What I've learned is Mr. Lube's auto service is untrustworthy, their customer service is terrible, and their service prices are actually MORE EXPENSIVE in the long run. Know what you're getting into by having your vehicle serviced here - the management team will NOT help you out or work to correct their mistakes. read more

I used to go to this Mr.Lube quite often, but as of late they're really slacking! Yet again they didn't have my type of filter for replacement! Yes,.you heard right an oil changing business did not carry a variety of oil filter. My car is a GM, eventhough it was produced in Korea it's still considered a North American brand. This is the third time this has happened and at one point I was actually nice enough to go pick a filter up at a distributor I knew of, believe it or not! The manager was very apologetic and guaranteed to have the filter the following day but I have yet to return, eventhough my car needs an oil change. This place used to have my vote, hands down, but as of recent times the vote is beginning to sway to any other place but here. If you wind up having to come here, check first if they have your filter type and DO NOT let them up sale you with all the other bells and whistle services they offer.
