So this is my 2nd attempt at stopping in at this joint and giving them a chance to redeem themselves from the burnt burrito I received last summer on a trip thru Forrest Lake. My first visit was alright, the burrito was large. The chicken had decent flavor, the burrito wasn't bad with the exception of the tortilla being charred. I also got the mr.Large Gyro and I couldn't complain about that bad boy.... Fat Boy Heaven w 7 virgins in a to go box was what that muhfugga was I stopped down last month to get that burrito a redemption and y'all was closed...... Just ate a luke warm/ cold burrito. I told guy in unclean dirty black spandex (I think the owner) the burrito was not heated properly. I had taken a bite already so he couldn't heat it up on the heater, I was nice and a first time customer.... the owner literally told me to punch myself in the face to heat it up. I also got food poisoning from the burrito. The owner simply should have microwaved the burrito to make it hot. The owner didn't do that and I suffered. The owner thinks he's funny, but he is clueless when food is not prepared correctly. Be prepared to get insulted if he makes a mistake. I'll never go back. Literally what the unclean a** hole owner said to me. Imagine a restaurant owner telling you to punch yourself in the face. That's it...three times and you're out- have gotten food from this place for several years now and the past three .... THREE...orders of a $12.00 gyro salad have come missing the feta cheese along with other missing items and substitutions. Today I even left a note asking to "please remember the feta cheese"! It also contained sad looking iceberg lettuce and old, mushy sliced tomatoes'. The pepperoncini were missing too. WTF???! Was this left over from yesterday and shoved into the cooler so you could save $$$$???? If you don't have the ingredients...then DO NOT.... advertise that you do. If the place is busy and staff CANNOT multi task or take the time to read requests, well, I was going to say... I don't mind waiting, except I WILL NOT be back to wait again. I even left you a tip for a takeout/pick-up order to "support your restaurant" WTF! Look - it's tough all over and I chose to spend my money at YOUR place. The first time I had this salad I was amazed and shocked that in Forest Lake, of all backwater holes, this excellence was possible. But now....it's apparent your heart is not in it anymore. Make sure you have these things before going. A thick skin to withstand the barrage of insults from the owner and a good working toilet. The owner will definitely make you feel uncomfortable. Unless, of course, you enjoy spending time with someone seemingly on drugs. Unless you were the last two people in the human centipede, this won't be the worst food you've had. I had the Blue Sicilian burger and it wasn't bad. Wasn't great either. It was over cooked. 3 hours later the fun starts and why you want a good toilet. After reading many great reviews I decided to try this place. The guy was not very friendly and was rushing me. The food was ok, but bland. The chipotle sauce had all the flavor. Meat definitely needs more flavor and I'm not a fan of parboiled rice, especially for Mexican rice. Might try something else on the menu but the owner needs to be friendly to all customers. read more

Mike T might be the NICEST man I know, we came in one day and he gave us free large burritos and he said "I love y'all" on the way out. i would recommend everyone to come here because the service is outstanding, and the food is 5 stars. He banged his chest like a silver back gorilla just like his zen days. if i was single and ready to mingle I would take my date here everyday and then later i got food poisoning and had to go to the hospital like when i ate the spider verse burger from burger king. read more

Tonight I decided to go again,I was hungry for Burgers and Curds,I got the Gladiator and Cheese Curds and my scrawny ass culd not finish it! It all came out fresh and fast to go! The owner is great,love the humor he's got reminds me of the restaurant "Dicks Last Resort" in a way,but no throwing crap just the humor in his verbal communication ,I'm sure there's been quite a few "karens" who come in who don't know him and cause a big scene but hey us regulars keep coming back and LOVE the food and can take the heat this guy gets food out faster then the Chipotle in town! My boyfriend brought me here yesterday evening because he said it was similar to chipotle since there isn't one here in Forest Lake, first impressions should be pretty important when out to eat and as I walked in a noticed the owner who in my opinion was high/on drugs and made me feel pretty uncomfortable by making rude comments about the way I looked, which doesn't shock me from what I've heard about what goes on in the back of this place. Now the food was not great I got a steak bowl and the steak had no flavor it was very bland and boring. I can surely say I will not be going back. Ok here's the deal, the owner is very strange, when I walked in he said "would you like a burrito"? I said, "yes, two please". He opened his eyes as wide as he could and just stared directly at me, and as he walked over to start a burrito, he slapped his arm against his chest with a limp wrist. The food (burrito) is fantastic, tons of customization options and it all tasted very fresh and flavorful both times I've been here. I would highly recommend this place except for one big turnoff to me, that it appears they had some draconian mask ideas in 2020...if I had come during that time I would not have ended up discovering how good the food actually is. Initially came here to get a burrito to go. Walked in & instantly transported to a Greek deli in NYC...the aroma of gyros took me back. I gave in and had a "Mr. Large" Gyro. It was everything I remembered a Gyro should be....and then some! It was HUGE! The floors were clean, as well as the restrooms. They handled quite a few customers in a short time, just like place in NYC. I can't wait to go back & try their burrito bowl. read more

We tried again, our 4 time since it's been open, as I stated, the 1st 2 times refused us because it was close to closing time, greater than 15 minutes. 3 time was just ok, got our burrito, I asked for add ons the owner tells me "NO", I ask again he tells me " there's cilantro in the pico, so NO!" I thought this was odd. Last night we head down again, owner tells me it's your first time here, welcome. I tell him I've been in a few times, he disagrees! Very intelligent man, I'm kidding! This is Mike, I believe. We move on to production, as he adds our choices, I noticed this looks old and dried out, the meat (we got chicken) I figured as salsa pico, will bring it back. I ask for pico 1 oz scoop, could I get more pico? I mean this burrito is as big as my Great Danes head. Third time I ask, he pulls the Seinfeld line about Soup Nazi, a moment later he telling me he's Jewish. Not that funny of stuff! He then commented on my build, 6ft, 240lbs, no gut, just a big guy, and he is a short fatter guy in a skin tight leotard, similar to something over stuffed. I ask him if he looks at himself? He flexes his arms, how absurd! The burrito was BLAK! Beyond bla! Jerky like chicken, there was no taste, the pico, cilantro, onion, I did taste the pepperoncini. I would not eat it, it tasted gross, I would not feed this to my dogs! To Mike, read your reviews. You are not personable, not funny. We came in for a burger on a Saturday evening. We were told we could get a burrito or a bowl. We got burrito bowls, they were ok. The chicken was dry and it just didn't have a lot of flavor. I would give this place a 0. They recently got a new owner and has since turned into 2 guys that act like they hate their jobs. They touch everything with the same gloves on and then served the food to you. Drink dispensers are overflowing, food on the ground, broken lights. Waited 30 minutes to get 2 burgers because of the workers lack of communication. Not someplace I would recommend. The gyros here are awesome. I haven't tried anything else on the menu because I can't stop myself from getting a gyro. Others with me have tried burritos and thought those were good, too. The owner is a very, very energetic guy. I can see him turning some people off but just roll with it. The first time we were there he offered us a free bottle of NY Seltzer to try, so that was a very nice bonus. He's given us free extra pita bread with the gyros, too. Haven't had any issues with them randomly being closed, but it seems like the owner and a very small group of people working there, so I wouldn't be surprised if something happens that they can't just call somebody else in. read more

We went in with 20 people, instead of being overwhelmed the staff was very polite and welcoming, even went as far as to rearrange all the tables to make sure we all sat together. Negative stars. My recommendation would be to take the $5-7 you'll spend on a burger....light it on fire and eat the ashes from the money. It might actually have more flavor than the gross burger they serve you here. Asked for medium rare....she said people get "very sick" from medium rare food and they can't serve it because they didn't put the warning on the bottom of their menu...followed by telling me they only make their burgers "very VERY well done"....I took a roll of the dice hoping for something other than a hockey puck to end up on my bun.....and I wish I would have gotten a hockey puck rather than the completely overcooked, under seasoned piece of *meat* they put on the plate. Save yourself the pain of eating a burger that turns into dust in your mouth....head to anywhere OTHER than this place. Good food, cheap! Since moving to the area I'm visited this restaurant several times. One of my favorite items is the sloppy joes. I usually get the steak fries to go with it. The portions are large, and the food is delicious. Generally speaking, their food is pretty good. My only 2 complaints are...... The chicken for the burritos is always dry. I usually went there at dinner time, 6pm. Secondly-the man who always works there (unsure if he's the owner or not) Is rather obnoxious. I do have a sense of humor however when someone is ridiculing my child's appearance I don't find that funny. I am there to order dinner not to have him critique the way my child looks. Good food, meh customer service. Went in with the wife for burrito bowls since we moved to Forest Lake. The works were laid out in front of us behind the glass like a Chipotle or Q-doba. Everything looked good. The man behind the counter came out very demanding, asking if we would like a burger or a burrito and then pointed us to which side to stand. He then asked us what we wanted and then rushed us through the line seemingly as fast as he could even though there was nobody behind us. He gave us good generous helpings of meat and rice which we liked but he skimped on a few things because he was just trying to move so fast. We got in there around 8:15 on a saturday night and they dont close till 9. He already had been telling other employees to close and turn off signs and clean. I usually try not to be that guy going in to a restaurant right before close but when im there 15 minutes before the last half hour it seems like fair game.
