I have been in GA for a year and been having a hankering for some crab legs. My day at work was hella annoying and I decided to treat myself and someone suggested Mr. Krabs Hut. They did not disappoint. I ordered the cracking bowl in mild & baybeeeeee it was giving what it was suppose to give. My only complaint is the odor from the nail salon next door. I was in the Morrow area visiting a good friend of mine when I saw this restaurant. The time we went in it didn't have anyone inside so we decided to dine in. The server came over to us immediately. She soon took our drink orders and I chose to get the top shelf patron margarita. This restaurant also has a full bar and the bartender was not stingy with the alcohol. The margarita was delicious. I got two appetizers cuz I was hungry which was onion rings and calamari. The calamari was good really chewy but the onion rings was on point. My entree was the seafood boil with crab legs and mussels which did not disappoint. Kudos to the DJ for playing all the R&B from 1990's and early 2000's it was a whole vibe. Funny enough this restaurant pays homage to the originator of the name Mr. Krabz from the SpongeBob SquarePants cartoon. Too funny and definitely will be back soon. read more

I wasn't planning to try this place because crab places are starting to pop up everywhere like the hundreds of wing places. Proximity and indecisiveness regarding dinner that day was how I ended up trying it. I've gone back a few times since the first visit but I've only had the black mussels. The first time, I ordered 1 lb. of the black mussels with the hut special medium sauce. There were more closed mussels than opened and that's a pet peeve when I order mussels at restaurants. The next visits, the ratio was a lot better. For the hut special sauce...it's delicious, seasoned, spicy and...it's just like Juicy Crab. We ordered coconut shrimp, onion rings and a seafood combo bag. The shrimp was well seasoned but I would hardly consider it coconut shrimp. It had some coconut sauce drizzled over it but it was not what I expected. The onion rings were minced frozen type. Wanted to try a new place this weekend, so we decided on here. The food was good and there wasn't a long wait for the to-go order. I had the lobster, shrimp, and sausage in garlic butter and Cajun seasoning. Also ordered the fried catfish platter. If you order broccoli with a boil, make sure you ask for it on the side or else it will be very salty. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because a few of my shrimp were not properly cleaned. My boil bag order was to include 2 crab clusters, I received one and a half. One cluster had only 3 legs on it and didn't include the "fatter" one. The two boiled eggs were overdone because the shells didn't come off without losing chunks of the egg whites. The corn was also overdone and inedible because the kernels just shriveled and jammed yp your teeth. It was tough and tasteless. The house sauce was an oily tasteless mess as well. The clams in garlic sauce and the shrimp weren't bad and that allowed me to give 3 stars rather than 2. And don't bother with the cheesecake-- it was a letdown. I go to this place very frequently even though there are two that are less than 10 minutes from my home. I placed and order for my boyfriend a few days ago and he was very displeased. He said the sauce in the bag was very thin and the flavor wasn't that good. He said that he would rather pay more money and go elsewhere. This was a surprise to me because usually the food is always flavorful and the sauce is thick. Today I ordered some for myself and was very disappointed. Everything he mentioned was true! The juice in the bag was very watery. It barely had any color to it. It looked as if someone seasoned the seafood while it was in the bag and then just poured water in the bag and shook it up. There was barely any flavor. Everything in my bag tasted like regular boiled seafood and veggies in regular water with no seasoning whatsoever. How is it that you all went up on prices, but are using less ingredients and lowering the quality of your food? I do not feel like I got what I paid for. Even though I've been coming here since they first opened, today will be my last time coming here.
