As always the food was excellent. I had the two meat combo with rice & the scrumptious egg drop soup. If you are looking for good food & decent prices this is the spot. Moments before hunger had overcome me, I meandered into my cellphone's contacts application. Excitedly, I selected the number of a delicious Japanese restaurant that I frequent. After a few failed attempts and several desperate voicemails, I accepted my fate: I would have to resort to eating at this soured establishment. I begrudgingly put in my order at the counter only to find that the service was lackluster, the experience was dreadful, and the food was sparse and worthy to be featured of a television program made only to mock the spirit of Anthony Bourdain. The sushi here is actually decent, and the place is kept clean. That said, those are the only redeeming things I've had from the place. With the steak and shrimp plate, the whitesauce is terrible, the rice was overcooked, and the vegetables tasted un-fresh and unappetizing. The food isn't good. This was my first time eating here. A few coworkers and I went here for lunch. We thought we got lucky and they had opened early because the open sign was on. Started off by waiting a little bit at the booth before someone took our drink order. So we finally got our drinks and ended up waiting longer to get our food order taken. As we were sitting there talking we noticed a person who ended up being our server walking in the front door. So she finally comes over to take our order and in the middle of the order she had to leave and answer the phone to take a phone order. Before she walked away she said, "excuse me I need to get this because they (the other employees) wont answer the phone. So, I thought to myself that she must be stuck doing everything. I had the steak and chicken hibachi which I initially thought was priced pretty reasonable. Well not much steak or chicken on the plate, mostly served vegetables and rice. The steak was OK, nothing special and the chicken although seasoned well was overcooked and very rubbery. The restaurant was clean for the most part but not very big. Overall service was slow but that was not the servers fault and the food was not very satisfying. read more

The food was good but I found a piece of egg shell in my rice, that BTW didn't have eggs in it. When the manager came to the table, after being notified for a 2nd time 20 minutes later, he had a very nasty attitude and then stuck his freaking finger in my plate to grab the egg shell. He told me that fell in the rice when the chef cracked the eggs to put in the rice and I told him that there aren't any eggs in my rice. (Also, not sure why he thought this would ease my mind.) He went to the kitchen and came back with a bowl of fried rice with eggs in it to prove a point about eggs being in the rice...still there is no reason for egg shells to be in my fried rice or any rice for that matter. He asked me what is he supposed to do in a rude tone. At this point, I'm wondering why is he asking me a dumb question? He's the manager, heck should've known what to do. I told him that I shouldn't pay for that meal. He walked off and went back to the kitchen....didn't say a word and never returned. When the waitress gave one of my friends her bill, I told her that the manager never said how he was going to settle my issue. She said that she'd ask him. When she came back to the table, she told me that he said that I didn't have to pay. It's a shame that he does not know how to handle customer complaints in a more positive manner. He didn't apologize or tried to solve the problem. After having to go through this stressful situation and seeing/hearing others stories about this guy and the restaurant, I contacted the health department.
