Sushi was fresh, affordable and delicious is you'd. All store but they definitely take pride in their craft.

"Plain Fried Rice"

Worst Japanese food I've ever had. I made a yelp account just because I was astonished at how terrible everything was and wanted to save others from wasting their money. Didn't eat the salmon or tuna rolls because the fish tasted bad. The miso soup is beyond sour. My "fried rice" is literally white rice with soy sauce on it. The hibachi chicken has no flavor at all even the veggies are gross. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Mr. Hibachi has been in business for several years. It's family owned, and has been the same owner as long as I can remember. They feature both Japanese and Chinese cuisine. My favorite is the lunch special hibachi beef. It comes with chicken fried rice, and crab Rangoon, all at the total of $8. The beef is sirloin, and is not fatty. The prices are so inexpensive, and the food is amazing. You get large orders. My wife and sister likes sushi. And they really like their sushi. This is a good place to get sushi, and you won't get sick. At this time it's carry out only.

Mr. Hibachi is operating on a take-out only basis, which was perfect for us because that's exactly what we wanted. They've placed temporary sheet rock walls around the front door, so the space is pretty small for ordering/pickup. We had a pretty large order - 2 sweet and sour chicken, one large egg drop soup, the spicy tuna roll combo and an order of Chinese doughnuts. The spicy tuna rolls were pretty good for being rather inexpensive sushi. The hubs was yelling 'HOT' while he was eating them, so I'm going to assume the advertising as spicy is correct The kiddos enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken and white rice. The not so great part - the egg drop soup was SO salty that we had to add water to cut down the salt. I definitely enjoy salty food, but the soup was nearly inedible. My favorite part of a Chinese doughnut is the sugar. It was a bummer that these only had a little blob of sugar in the middle. They were not coated like I've had previously. Overall, it was okay, but not great.

Great location! Being from St Louis, I'm very "boujee" when it comes to my Chinese food! This place is awesome. I didn't read the previous reviews but this place is way better than a 3.5. The ambiance reminds me a restaurant nestled in the north side on Greer and Marcus. Nothing fancy but the food is good! I had chicken fried rice and a tiger roll. Only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because i hate peas and carrots in my rice and friend rice comes with no egg!!!!! I will be coming back!!!! Too bad I ate all of my food before snapping.... didn't think it would be so delicious....

Great sushi for the price. We order Mr Hibachi nearly every Friday night. They're quick to deliver, and the food is always hot. We get the Orange Chicken or the Sesame chicken. The shrimp tempura and cream cheese with veggie options are all great. The (imitation) crab is pretty good (I definitely recommend the Bruce Roll!) When you order a vegetable dish (veggie fried rice, veggie noodles or veggie hibachi) it's 90% broccoli and onions- barely any carrots or mushrooms.

Always delicious. Always clean…read more Always very welcoming. Great selection. No MSG All my family likes this place.

TLDR: 2 stars bc the food was ok, but still won't go back…read more I have ordered takeout and off the menu. I used to do the buffet, but got sick the last 2 times I tried it, so no more. This is one of the only places I can get honey sesame chicken though, so I continued to go here to order that from the menu. I hadn't been for quite a while due to a medical issue, and it turns out, I should have stayed away. From the moment I parked, it was a hot mess express. There were not enough handicapped spots for the # of businesses in the strip mall for starters, but that isn't really the restaurant's fault. On the plus side, they have redone the seating since I was last here and it was decently comfortable, but that's where the positive comments will end. The smell that hit me when I walked inside was horrendous, not a great start. I asked for a menu and the young women appeared VERY put out that I wanted to order from the menu; she kept saying "buffet" over and over, and I kept saying, "no, I need the menu please." I wanted to see if there was a combo for the honey sesame chicken. She finally brought over the menu and there was in fact a combo for the HSC, but all of the prices had been marked out with a sharpie. I pointed to the combo I wanted and asked how much and she gave me an odd look and raised her shoulders like she didn't understand me. I figure I was getting it anyway so I went ahead and ordered a coke and the HSC with fried rice; they have also always switched out the crab rangoon for an extra scoop of rice so I asked for that. The young lady took my order and left. A few minutes later, a young man brought me my drink and said. "no fried rice." I asked if he meant I could not sub it and he said "no fried rice, only white in combo." Me: "So let me get this straight, if I order the combo, I can't get fried rice?" Him: "no fried rice, only white rice. No 2 scoop." Me: "So I can't get rice instead of crab rangoon either?" Him: "no no no. No change, no fried rice." At this point I was super annoyed and just said fine, whatever. Just bring me the HSC for as cheap as you can. I'm hungry. The waitress came back with a gigantic plate, overflowing with HSC, and a teeny tiny little bowl of steamed rice, Not even enough for me to get full while sitting there in the restaurant, let alone enough to take home with the 2+ portions of HSC that were left over when I ran out of rice. You can't tell me it is less expensive to give a ridiculously large portion of chicken and minimal rice! I ate until I ran out of rice, never got a refill on my coke (they all ignored our table after dropping off the food), and left (still hungry) with 3/4 of the chicken in a take-out box, knowing I wouldn't eat it unless I bought rice to make. All of this, for the bargain price of almost $30, just for ONE PERSON! Never again.

A while ago, undesirable reviews had been made for this restaurant. I have had their food three…read moretimes now and can speak to the cleanliness when I was as there. The space seemed clean. There was nothing on the floor or trash anywhere. They do have it blocked off for carry out or delivery only. But I want to talk about the food. Twice I've ordered the General Tso's chicken, eggrolls, egg, drop soup, and the Chinese donuts. What you see pictured here is the Happy Family meal with fried rice, small egg, drop soup, and Chinese donuts. The egg drop soup is good but may be a little watery for some. The egg rolls are crunchy. The General Tso's chicken is inviting to your palate. And you just can't go wrong with fried rice. The Chinese donuts are always soft with just the right amount of sugar and are highly addictive. I enjoyed the Happy Family and the scallops and the shrimp were a nice addition. I happen to find their food delicious and quite comparable to other Chinese restaurants in the area. Give them a try and decide for yourself.
