I threw my dinner and dessert out it was so bad. I got the falafel bowl, subbed potatoes for rice - which I'm so glad I did because that's the only thing I ate. The gyro was loaded with juicy, seasoned chicken, greek dressing, tomatoes and a very soft, fluffy pita. The Greek salad was good for a side salad, the dressing is very authentic and the whole meal was fresh made to order! It's a small store front restaurant, clean and nice staff. Salty and tasteless. This describes the food AND the staff. I adore Greek food, and often like to have several different dishes. But, there was no vegetarian platter/combo offered (a staple of every other Greek food establishment - from mall food to family restaurants). Only a "sampler" of 4 "dips." Each one was a salter than the other, with no real distinguishing taste. When I said the 4 dips were far too salty, and politely asked for something different, I was offered a lid (?!) and a blank look. No concept of customer service. Very disappointing experience. Maybe the smelly bathroom with a greasy floor, dead bug in the corner and a toilet that didn't work was a clue that this place does not care about details. Or food quality. I had to leave this restaurant today! I have been here before and had decent experiences but not today. One of the women behind the partition, near the food had her mask off and was talking to another employee. Then, the other employee walked over to me after moving things around and proceeded to help me. I asked her to wash her hands first. She mumbled something then picked up a stack of clean napkins and moved them to the side which revealed her plastic, disposable gloves that she was putting on to help me. EWWWWW Contamination zone! I've gone here dozens of times since it's the closest Greek place to me. I've found that Mr. Gyro's has good tasting food and is very consistent. Their service is generally good as well. The gyros are great and most of the basic menu items are too. There are certain things I've ordered like the falafel that haven't been so good (the falafel was super dry and overly crunchy). Overall, it's not necessarily the best Greek food I've had, but it's more than good enough. read more

Love the food! So why the 2 star review? We prefer to go to locally owned restaurants, especially with Covid. As a result we frequently get takeout. In the case of this restaurant we drive from Tequesta to visit. Imagine driving over to Indiantown, picking up our order, taking it home only to realize it was wrong. (yes, we should of double checked it) We went back to obtain our corrected order. No apology, other than 'people make mistakes'. On our second visit we attempted to obtain a soft drink, but the machine was broken. Did I mention the order was a takeout. No plastic silverware, no napkins. Seriously, the bulk of this establishment's business is currently takeout. For some reason store management could care less about how they interact with customers, refusing to take responsibility for wrong orders. Time to go elsewhere? read more

I placed an order with Adriana for 2 Beef and Lamb Gyros to go at 7:27pm on March 1, 2023. When the order came out I asked Adriana for an extra Tzatki sauce. She told me that the was Tzatki sauce on the Gyros and that it would be an additional $1.09 (even though your menu lists it for $0.89) for that extra sauce. I had made this request on previous visits to your restaurant and had been given one at no extra charge. I reminded Adriana that I had just paid $19.98 ($9.99 each) and that I would appreciate the extra sauce at no charge. She told me, in short order, that this was not possible, so I told her to keep the sauce. It is hard for me to believe that an extra 2 ounce sauce is 11% of the cost of the Gyros cost. There are over 100 establishments offering food to go on or near Indiantown Road, lots of choices other than Mr. Gyros. An example of one that will fulfill requests for extra sauces is Culver's on Military Trail. I get sandwiches there often. For example, I order their Ruben Melt (approximately $6.00) and request an extra side of thousand island dressing, which the service person ALWAYS cheerfully responds "Certainly and is there anything else I can get for you?". This is done at NO Charge vs. Adriana's argumentative response. It is widely known in the service industry that happy, or unhappy, customers tell an average of 7 other people of their experiences. Mr. Gyros Management and Adriana should keep this in mind when dealing with future customer requests. For my part, I will choose to spend my restaurant dollars at businesses that choose to care more about the patrons experience than about collection of an extra $0.89 on an $9.99 menu item. 7/12/20: I tried it again today. I got a falafel gyro. This is a good example of big isn't always better. The falafels were hugh to the point of disgust, dry and tasteless. I threw half of it away. I've had better hummus from Wal-Mart. The smell of the food was gross also. The dressing for the salad was mostly vinegar. I will not be going here a 3rd time. This place just gets more and more gross, and more and more expensive. If you go in, it's filthy. The ceilings are falling apart, there's black dust / mold in the air vents, the AC may not even be on (it's so muggy in there it's hard to tell) so they just run these disgusting ceiling fans that clearly never get cleaned... the soda fountains are gross, the tea is gross... And if you talk to the staff, it's very obvious why. I don't like writing bad reviews from one experience, so this is after many attempts and tries. If you're ordering online, obviously you don't see how gross it is, but typically if your front of house is this dirty, imagine the kitchen and parts we don't see. And it would be one thing if this place was a bargain but it's not. My family went in recently and for 4 gyros with fries and drinks, it was going to be $70! So we left and went down to Mana (also in Jupiter) to have a real dining experience with a good atmosphere. It came out to be the same AFTER tip. And at least is was a nice restaurant with friendly service. But $70 for what's considered fast food? And yes, it's fast food. Not only is everyone I see going there going for pick-up (because again, it's filthy and hot inside with miserable staff that barely speaks up and never smiles), but anyplace that has a bin of ketchup packets next to an open service soda fountain is definitely FAST FOOD. Don't go here... Go to Mana or Nico's if you're in Jupiter, or go to the great Greek if you're closer to PGA... Just skip this place. I used to be a fan, but it's just nasty now. Oh, and one more thing! Any time I've ordered for pick-up, they mark the order as ready within 5 min. But when you get there, it's never ready, and so you wait for 15 min. So essentially instead of saying the order is received on their device, they're just immediately marking it as ready. It's happened to me twice now. And you guessed it, both times I wind up standing in the nasty place I'm trying not to be in. Seriously though, if it wasn't close to me, I would have given up a while ago. read more

Meh. I eat a lot of Greek food all over Soflo. Mr Gyro didn't live up to expectations, and it was no bargin to boot. It only made 3 star because the cute girl at the register was super nice, great people skills. I had souvlaki over Greek salad which is my go to lunch. Some places it's so good (Chris Taverna Boynton) I go every day in a week when I'm the area. Here, the portions were small, the meat was dry and the cucumbers were rubbery. How you can get rubbery cucumbers in a Greek place I have no idea.. There wasn't enough dressing and it had white vinegar instead of red and white onions instead of red on the salad as well. Doesn't sound like a big deal but I could taste the difference. And this one is a pet peeve: I come to a restaurant and sit down because I work on my feet all day, everyday. Lunch is my time to be comfortable and if I wanted to eat out of a box I could probably save a fair amount of money on fast(er) food. I feel cheated by paying restaurant prices to be served food in a to go box and miniature to go ramekins that frankly don't meet the portion retirements for the size of the meal. It was cumbersome and really rubbed me wrong. Maybe Jupiter means fewer choices and people put up with this but I won't be back. read more

I ordered a lamb/beef gyro, no veggies with tiziki sauce on the side and an order of dolmas(stuffed grape leaves). The gyro meat quality has changed drastically and had little to no flavor, the tiziki was just yogurt with cucumber pieces, no spices and the dolmas were just mush (supposed to be firm rice w/lamb & beef) covered in olive oil that was so old it was cloudy. I have to say how happy I am to have very good quality food and a good price. Usually when you get excellent quality food they jack up the price. Today was my first time trying this Greek restaurant because I was working in the area. Not only was it extremely quick but everything was very hot. I got the spanakopita and Greek salad combo and I added the euro meat to the top of the salad. The salad was very plentiful with lots of meat and fresh vegetables. The spanakopita was OK. It's not necessarily my favorite that I've ever had but it did have excellent flavor. I found it a little soggy and not as stuffed with toppings but it really did taste good. I was overly satisfied that I got to tzatziki sauce is in my meal. They even included pita bread. I thought for the just under $14 that I spent it was a fantastic deal. We go here often for lunch and dinner and their take out is very convenient and always ready quick from the counter or ready when we walk in the door when we call ahead. Today I spoke with Chelsea when we placed our to go order. She was friendly and chipper and got our order perfect. The food was hot and delicious. Today we had the spicy feta gyro with their delicious Greek salad. Their veggies are alway super crisp and fresh and today the tomatoes tasted like they were home grown. The ONLY reason they're getting 4 stars instead of the 5 stars I WANT to give them is because of lacking customer service. Upon ordering a pick up to go order I struggled ordering from the girl and had to repeat several times to ensure my order was correct. Also when I arrived to pick up my food there was a man with his back turned away from the counter and when I entered he was aware I was there but didn't turn around. I had to kind of give a little cough for him to address me, and when he did, he was letting me know that he was busy doing something with paperwork and called for the counter girl. She came from the back and helped me. Everything was ready to go at the counter, so it wasn't very long. The place was entirely empty which did surprise me, but it was decorating very cute with a cozy charm for a faster paced type of place. Then I got to eat! I ordered a gyro with side of Greek salad and taramosolata (Greek caviar). When I say everything was delicious, everything was perfect and scrumptious! The gyro meat was sliced perfectly, the pita was soft (it was a touch soggy bc they put tzatziki sauce on the bottom which I actually prefer to do myself so that's another reason 4 stars and not 5 stars), the veggies were all very fresh and crunchy, the tzatziki sauce was creamy, light and airy, and flavorful but not overpowering, the salad was fresh, light, nice bold dressing, and crisp. The taramosolata was the best I've ever had! It was light, airy, whipped, flavorful, not too lemony, not too salty, but really balanced to perfection, oh and they deseed the cucumbers!
