Been many years since I've lived in Shepherdsville, Ky, but I do remember very fondly, eating at Mr Gattis pizza. I love their crust on their pizza. To me, crust is very very important. I'll admit, the crust was better back in the early 1980s but the last few times I remember, it wasn't nearly as good. The owner was ( unless they've changed hands) a nice Christian man who went above and beyond to make you feel welcome when you dined in. And prices weren't too steep either, in my opinion here, you get what you pay for. I'd still prefer Larosas or Variety Pizza in Jackson, Ky. I miss the nostalgia of Mr.Gattis more than anything. That delicious smell of that pizza as it seeps thru the box and when you open that box, the smells just make your appetite run wild. read more

I know there are several Mr. Gatti's around, but the one in Shepherdsville is the best. They are a small establishment, but they are the best. Smiling faces, quick to address issues, always trying to ensure pizzas are hot and fresh on the bar. I have even used them several times to purchase 10+ pizzas for an event/party. Me Gattis location that is just off the shepherville main expressway exit in Kentucky and located near the popular kart Kountry In Shepherville Kentucky off joe b hall ave . Unlike some of the mr Gattis in the nearby Louisville area This location isn't the massive eat and play arcades. Yes they have a small one. But this is more an intimate neighborhood type pizza buffet as opposed to the mega ones in the city. I love all pizza buffets and mr Gattis is one of my favorites. I feel like there pizza has a very good taste that is distinctive and you know it's a pizza from Gattis. They do a good job of keeping the buffets stocked and with plenty of options ranging from different toppings to unique dessert pizza options. While me and the kiddos do enjoy all mr Gattis locations and the big arcade ones are a lot of fun and bring us joy and we we've made good memories there. We go to this particular location when we are just wanting some gatti pizza and don't want to necessarily spend all day playing or dealing with large crowds of people and craziness. Also being a smaller location the workers here are ten times better. Much more personable and friendly. Overall This is a great location. I always describe it as a neighborhood Gattis due to the scaled back look and feel. Has the same tasty Gattis pizza but a much more clam and personable feel. read more

I eat at Mr. Shepherdsville just about every Saturday always bragged about how good their food was nice Christian environment then today I go in there while I'm waiting on a pizza. I watch an employee take a pizza from off one that had been sitting up there for evidently a while off the top of the oven no paper under it not in a box not on one of them pizza spa things pizza by itself sitting on top of it two of them she takes pulls it off the top, lays it down by the belt on the exit end of the oven on top of the gear covers. Then, when she thought nobody was looking, she picks it up and throws it back in the oven. Then she does the same thing to the other pizza after I confronted her about it she goes back and tells the he me putting the pizza back in the oven and they to serve it so before I left, I called up the and concerns. Needless to say I will not be back in there because after that, if they're doing, that ain't no telling what they're doing and it just blows my mind that was the best place in my mind to go get a pizza but from this point on, I won't be back in there read more

Oh my where do I begin? Well I'll tell ya, we begin at the beginning. As in I've literally been coming to this place ever since I was a child. This place holds many fantastic and fond memories for me! Now onto the review. This is one of the few remaining buffet style pizza places you'll find. It is very well-kept up and very clean. The staff are always friendly and polite. There is a lot of seating as well as a game room and large party room. Plus the general layout of the interior is just cool. This place was awesome when I was a kid and it still remains awesome to this day. There's just something about it, something about the cheese or maybe it's the sauce or maybe a special herb blend. But this place has a flavor all of its own and that Leaves me comfortable enough to say that this is my most favorite pizza joint around. As I mentioned before I always ate at this place as a kid and whenever I visit my hometown my family and I always get this pizza to bring home has a special treat. Trust me it doesn't last long LOL. Plus I saw sign out front that said voted best nine years in a row. And I can clearly taste how they earned that distinction. If you're ever in the Louisville or Shepherdsville Kentucky area you'd be doing yourself a major favor to pay this place visit. Best gattis I've ever been too. Food is great. The only location that ever makes vanilla pudding pizza. If you haven't had it you need to. Staff is friendly whether inside or going through the drive thru. Yes this location has a drive thru. For a buffet this location is the cleanest I've ever been to. For under $8, an all you can eat pizza buffet that also has a salad and pasta bar- how can you rate that less than 5?? First off, the pizza is good! There is always a good assortment of pizzas to choose from, and they are tasty! The pasta is decent, the cheesy bread is delicious, and the salad bar had plenty of options. Second, the staff is super friendly! They went out of their way to make sure we were happy and had everything we wanted. They requested the chef make the pizzas we specifically asked for, and kept checking back to make sure that we got them. Lastly, the dessert pizzas are addicting! S'mores, raspberry swirl, cinnamon sugar, chocolate pudding, and my personal favorite, vanilla custard pudding! I would pay the $8 just to get these dessert pizzas! I stopped at Mr. Gatti's Monday night (12/13/22) on my way home from Louisville. I live in a different time zone, so I didn't realize they were closing. Instead of telling me they were closing and pushing me out the door, they made sure I was able to eat before sending me on my way. I often stop there when I'm in the area because we don't have a Mr. Gatti's where I live, and as always, the food was excellant! The staff there is always very nice and see to it the food is always fresh and great tasting. I highly recommend eating there if you want great food at a fair price. You wont regret it! read more

I like going here and I frequently come here becuase there pizza is always coming out and they are friendly and willing to take requests for pizza. The macaroni and cheese was good and the pizzas was always replenished so when you make your next trip there was pizza. I truly don't understand all of the high star reviews of this place. The pizza was underwhelming and they weren't putting them out fast enough. Seriously waiting 10-15 minutes for a refill of basic pepperoni pizza is annoying. It's a staple, keep making them. Though, it may have been for the best as severe indigestion set in for 3 of our party of four. Also - apparently it's a practice to let children run crazy in this place and allow them to rush the pizza bar area when deserts are put out, every time. This place was right beside our hotel we were staying at. We were in town for work that day and wanted to try the pizza buffet they advertised. So the guy I work with and I walked over there. There was no wait and was able to pay sit anywhere. The options for the pizza were good and the pasta was pretty good. They did keep the pizza fresh and hot as people kept on coming in.
