PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Just search "Mr Fridge scam" on Google to see info about this shady company. I don't usually write reviews, but this experience was truly outrageous. My refrigerator was still functioning and only had a noise issue. During the first visit, they told me it was just a minor fan problem and said they would order a replacement fan. Three weeks later, this company came back and removed other critical parts from my refrigerator, leaving it completely non-functional. A few days after that, they sent me a quote for $1,300, claiming that four major components were broken and that I had to pay this amount for the fridge to work again. This made absolutely no sense. Just one month earlier, LG's official service had replaced the compressor with a brand-new one, yet their quote claimed that this new compressor was faulty. That was shocking to me. I honestly couldn't believe something like this could happen today, it felt less like a repair service and more like being taken advantage of. I then spent time reading this company's Yelp and Google reviews more carefully. The reviews are extremely polarized. Many of the 5-star reviews don't feel genuine at all, they don't read like they were written by real customers. On the other hand, the negative reviews feel much more detailed and believable. Nothing but problems with Mr. Fridge. I posted a previous 1 star review on August 15th because the tech that came out made mistakes and caused problems every time he came to work on our fridge. He had thrown our perimeter door seal away and also thrown away two internal door seals. As of August 15th I had been trying for over 2 months to get them to respond. I had emailed them 4 times and left messages 3 times. They didn't respond until I posted the negative review on August 15th. When they finally called me back, before they had done anything to fix this problem they had caused, they asked if I would update my review. I can report as of September 8th that not only has the office not been responsive, but also they are incompetent. Look at the picture I attached. It clearly shows 2 seals missing. When the tech finally came out to fix the problems they had created (almost 3 months after I started trying to get them to fix it), they had ordered only 1 of the 2 door seals. We are still waiting for the other missing door seal (meanwhile we can't use one of the crispers because if freezes and ruins food with the seal missing). We couldn't clearly communicate with the tech they sent on that trip (very poor english). We sent follow up text and email to ask them if the door seal was being ordered and confirming they just mail it to us so we don't have to wait for up to 2 hours for a service window. We still do not have confirmation that this is being addressed. read more

I spent $400 to have some burnt out relays replaced and ended up with the compressor needing to be replaced. And, they broke the freezer temp dial. As of today, they still haven't called me back for an estimate of the newly required work. They don't seem to worry too much about losing business. Gonna find a different company. I had a great experience with Mr Fridge. My whirlpool refrigerator was not working (temperature was rising inside the freezer). I was able to get an appointment with Mr Fridge the very next morning. The technician arrived and diagnosed the problem in about 45 mins. Fortunately, he had the part that I needed and had it replaced in another 30 mins. My refrigerator now works perfectly again. The price was reasonable, and I am very pleased with the service I received. I will definitely call Mr Fridge again the next time I have a broken appliance. read more

Came to my house and charged $100 to look at fridge. Then he told me it would be an extra $200 to defrost the fridge. Apparently he had a way to defrost the fridge in 1 hour but would be the extra $200. I asked if I could just defrost it myself. He said ok and told me he could come out the next day. When I called the following day, they said they had no technicians available. Then they made me wait two days,then never showed up. I haven't had a working fridge for 4 days. I don't feel comfortable employing them. Don't recommend.On top of everything them charged extra 10$ dollars to use my card. They are shady. read more

Have you ever been ghosted by a repair company? Look no further. Called these clowns to come look at my broken fridge. Took the dude a few minutes assessing and said my compressor was broken. Also said it might still be covered under warranty. So I reach out to my fridge company and get an authorization for Mr. Fridge to order the parts, I'll pay for labor, no biggie right? Yeah, I think they don't like that I don't want to pay out of pocket for the parts and give them extra profit or they're just incredibly disorganized. First call out, Monday Oct 23, 2023 Today: November 3, 2023 No thank you, I don't like businesses who don't follow up on repair requests, businesses who take $180 from me and never call back, and no thank you for leaving me with a broken fridge for weeks on end. Thank you. EDIT: apparently the part was ordered on the 31st of October and they'll call me to schedule service. We'll see how this works out, review to be updated. 2nd Edit: they came out today and fixed my refrigerator issue. The thing is, they did their job, but communication to me fell through the cracks. I have a 11 years old fridge at my rental home and my tenants let me know there was a loud alarm that started beeping with an error code when they tried to close one of the doors. Obviously, none of my tenants or me know what to do..but we suspected based on the error code, it could be because of the electrical panel. I reached out to a few vendors. Some don't reply...some just flat out rejected the work saying they don't work on my model of fridge anymore (what's the point if you are going to only work on new models...when old models still work right??!?!). Mr. Fridge was super fast and responsive in responding to my request. They let me know the next steps to do to schedule the appointment, gave me the exact quote..and was able to slot me in for a diagnosis/repair the next day (literally being at the place within 12 hours of my request). On the day of, the technician Alex communicated promptly on his plan of arrival. Being a landlord from a different state, Alex called to provide me an update..and told me about the issues he saw. He not only checked the panel that had problems..but the panels for other doors for me as well. Thank you! The discussion was Alex was nice and pleasant. He cared about educating people like me on what actually happened, what he did to resolve the issue/identify if there's any other potential problems and how to prevent it from happening again. Great company. Call them first. My 2 year old freezer stopped working last night. I tried restarting it - no help. Woke up this morning and the freezer temperature had climbed to 59 degrees. We were losing food fast. I called and spoke to Mr. Fridge. At first, I didn't think he'd be able to send someone on such short notice. But he did. Andre arrived 35 minutes after he called and quickly diagnosed my problem. He saved the day. SAVE yourself the time and stress and call another company!!! I called Mr. Fridge because my Sub-Zero freezer was not working anymore. I made the appointment online and stated that my freezer needed work. Then they came the following day. The technician called me after working on it for a half hour. They said my fridge needed coolant. I asked if that would fix my freezer issue. The guy didn't even know that I called him to fix my freezer. Even though it's on the online request and that we just spoke an hour before. He then proceeds to check out my freezer and said that it needs a part that he has to order. I was like fine order it. He wanted to get paid for working on the wrong thing. I did hoping he would come back to fix my freezer. (What a scam!) I've since then, messaged and called them multiple time. Each time he keeps on telling me to text him my name and address. I guess I'm not the only one they don't come back or has not done proper jobs with. Finally after 5 weeks they finally said that they cannot order the part and that they cannot help me. Well, this company is a total POS. Water in front of my fridge yesterday morning. Looked up the repair on Youtube and attempted to repair it. After a few hours - I decided to call in a repair company . I called 2 other companies and looked up reviews. I decided on Mr.Fridge after reading the reviews and speaking g with a woman in the office who made my appt for this morning. I made an additional request to speak with a technician about some questions and someone ( I didn't catch his name) called me shortly after I set up the appt to answer my questions. They came on time to the appt., wore shoe covers and masks. They fixed the issue with the fridge going above and beyond- because I requested it- removed an ice maker( I'm not plumbed for water) and covered the screw holes with white tape. Replaced a plastic cover that I had broken...Very reasonable cost. Considerate and respectful to me! I can't recommend this company enough! read more

This was a relief because i found him after I had tried to set up an appointment with ProAppliance. ProAppliance I had waited over a WEEK for an appointment (my freezer wasn't working) and on the day of my appointment they had to cancel because a technician was sick. We had excellent service with Mr. Fridge in the initial diagnosis, initial repair, and subsequent follow-up. Communications is best done via their on-line portal. I described the problem on their portal and received confirmation shortly afterwards. It stated I would have a service tech 2 days later. The tech confirmed via text message the night before and about 2 hours before the appointment. Dan, the tech showed up exactly on schedule. He quickly went to work with all the right equipment and knowledge. Within about an hour he had removed the panels, taken appropriate measurements and diagnosed the problem. He explained to me that the temperature sensor had failed. He had the part with him and it was replaced. The whole process took less than an hour. Here's the important part. The sensor that was put in somehow did not accurately control the temperature as desired. After several days monitoring the temperature I sent a call-back request via the portal. In my case, the portal was the method of communication as to the issue. Dan came out several days later, looked at the various settings and installed a new sensor as the original repair was with a 90-day warranty. Since then, the refrigerator has operated perfectly. This was a much better choice than the "handy man" who can repair stoves, microwaves, dishwashers etc. They are clearly experts in this arena. We have a ten-year-old Whirlpool refrigerator that frosted up and lost refrigeration. We defrosted the fridge for 48 hours and started it again and it worked fine. Only to frost up two weeks later. We were about to simply purchase another fridge when we read Consumer Reports advice encouraging reader to seek out good repair services instead since repair costs on refrigerators can be reasonable. A new fridge would cost a little over $2,000. The repair was slightly less than $400. It saved the time shopping for a new model and awaiting delivery. read more

Then quoted higher price option because he didn't know the model number - which is clearly visible in the freezer. It's either lack of attention to detail, or just blatantly jacking up price. Mr. Fridge is a very responsive, customer centric service business. I noticed a leak behind the refrigerator on the labor day weekend. The team responded to my call, and came to my residence. They were very empathetic while assessing the problem and diagnosing the root cause. The refrigerator was fine but the waterline was the culprit. Mr. Fridge diagnosed a leak in the water valve connected to water line. Mr. Fridge addressed the valve, reconnected the water pipe. They cleaned the wet surface thoroughly ( even though they were on-site to repair the refrigerator) and recommended next steps to prevent mold and mildew. Mr. Fridge stands by their repairs. Dan came out to fix our ice maker. He was professional and efficient in diagnosing the issue, then removed and replaced the ice maker unit. The price seemed a little bit steep, but it was exactly as quoted prior to the appointment. On the way out, he mentioned that they warranty their repairs, and to let them know if the problem isn't solved. The ice maker worked great for about a month, but then quit working again. I called Mr. Fridge to let them know, and Dan came back the very next day to swap it out again, and he was again very professional and courteous. This time the ice maker worked, but not as well. There was a problem with the lever, and ice making was very slow. So I contacted Dan, he ordered a new part, and came back once again to install it. Now the ice maker seems to be working great again. I called to see if they provided dishwasher repair. They said that they do in my area and that there was a $99.99 diagnostic fee for the technicians time. I then asked what their hourly rates were and was told that they didn't have any. I asked how they bill us and was told time and materials. So I asked again what the rate was and was told it depended on the job. Not knowing what a company charges for labor is not something that I am comfortable with. I have been in customer service for years and I do not understand this type of business practice. You may want to re-think this strategy.
