After years of disappointment going to numerous salons trying to find a stylist who knows how to cut my hair for a reasonable price, Jennifer Rodriguez is a literal fairy godmother; and I'm so grateful to whatever cosmic power led me to her chair. As a natural curly girl for a decade now, one of the things you quickly learn is to have relatively low expectations when it comes to the majority of salons. From personal experience you come to expect certain outcomes from your run of the mill salon. One, the hairdresser will cut your hair wet without taking into account that curly hair shrinks as it dries leaving you with a shorter hairstyle than you originally wanted. Two, your hair will be cut into a style that only looks good when heat styled wavy or blown out. As the former two expectations are bad enough; forget about also finding a stylist that will also take into account the varying porosity, density, and curl patterns that one person can have on their head. So thank God, I've found an absolute gem of a stylist in Jennifer! Okay, so what to expect when you book the appointment. A short curly cut entails first a dry cut, then a shampoo and conditioning, styling with whatever product suits your hair type, and then a diffused blow drying. For the price of $95 plus tip, that's an absolute steal! Vibes of the salon, industrial chic with exposed ceiling, chandeliers, and dark stained wood floors. Equipment and styling tools are great quality and the staff is exceptional warm and professional. Seriously, if you're finally deciding on investing in your hair, I can't recommend J. Anthony salon and Jennifer Rodriguez enough

So I came back to Sarahi and told her what I wanted. It turned out perfect!
