I really like this location! The guys that work here are very cool and always ready to give me a great haircut whenever I need it. I have been going to see Ely for a number of years. He's wonderful and always gives me a great haircut. My wife is a big fan of his work. Recently my work schedule changed, and I have to get haircuts on Saturdays now when Ely doesn't work. So, I found a new guy, Chicago Lenny, that does great work and tells great stories. He's funny and personable and has over 50 years of experience, so he knows what he's doing. Ok , truth is both Dave (Mr.D) and Tiffany can cut hair with the best of them. However, Tiffany only works part-time, and Dave is usually running behind because of his pursuit of perfection. Seriously, Dave takes his time and you can expect to be in the chair 40-45 minutes. I have a busy schedule like a lot of people with families and full-time jobs. Therefore, I usually can't wait around for Dave and his overlapping appointments. Also, I prefer a barber shop that uses a straight razor to line you up. Dont try it. First time customer and had Lenny. Told him I was growing my hair out and I didnt want any length taken off. Only some weight off the sides with the thinning sheers. Made an appointment with Devin for 2pm. Arrived at 150pm and he was 20 mins late. Showed up like it wasn't even a big deal. He said he forgot we even spoke on the phone. I had called and made the appointment a few hours prior... Haircut was ok at best. I told him I wanted a skin fade and it wasn't as close to the skin as possible. He also left my sideburns instead of fading them into the fade. Overall not impressed at all and won't be coming back. read more

I think Yelp is BS quite honestly but I have an affinity for small business and the support of entrepreneurs. Mr. D's has been around for 15 years but version 2.0 with Wendy and cast is pretty good. I have had my cut done by Vern twice. The guy is good, quick and can entertain me while cutting, the results are always what I ask. When I want a barber cut Vern is my guy. If I am in a mood for a salon cut, my goto is Wendy. She provide minute touches and care you would find in a higher end salon. I have not hit up Rob but every time I go in he has a customer. Pretty positive overall if you ask me. My new mainstay after moving from back east and glad to share the positives as long as I don't have to wait for my next cuts! read more

My husband went here 2 weeks ago to get a haircut. This is his first time here. When he came home, he was so upset and disappointed. Before his cut, he had asked the barber to just fade up the sides, leave the top, and even provided a photo of himself as a reference for the barber. During my husband's cut, the barber turned him away from the mirrors to face the TV. When it was done, my husband was upset that the barber took off too much from the top and could no longer slick back his hair because it was cut too short. He never asked him to trim the top, but he did anyway. It's sad to leave a less than good review, after all the good reviews here. So perhaps we caught this barber on an off day. So my husband will not be returning here again, because his expectations were not met. It was so bad, my husband went to a Supercuts and asked the stylist to just trim it all down really short. But she convinced him not to and had to fade his sides up better and gave my husband a side comb look to give his hair a chance to grow out long enough for a slick back again. If it wasn't for her, my husband would be wearing ball caps till his hair grew out again. Here's our advice, don't go on a Tuesday morning to see Ramon. You're better off buying a clipper and doing it yourself. read more

This amazing man cuts hair the way a Michelin star chef creates dishes. His hands are perfectly confident, his eye for detail, superior. He always leaves me happy and feeling gorgeous. He specializes in fixing bad cuts but that's not all he does: he gives a fantastic experience to anyone who sits in his chair. He's the best I've seen in the last 30 years. Following the advise of the first Yelper; I asked for Tiffany. She squeezed me right after I called. Walk-ins are welcome, but give a call before heading over. There is convenient parking (like the rest of Henderson) and quick access with the main cross roads. The decor of the place is pretty rockin. It is a oldschool golf and sea captain feel with a parrot in back for added ambiance. There is a flatscreen on the wall with travel channel or some other watchable entertainment while you get your cut. Tiffany is a gem with a beautiful smile and outgoing personality. She is great at her job and seems to truly like it. She is friendly and talkative, but not overly conversational. I was able to get a great scissor cut and a beard trim in about 20 minutes for $20. I walked out the door feeling and looking great. There are other stalls and barbers at Mr. D's, but I am confident that Tiffany will hook you up. read more

After a couple of bad haircut experiences, I found this place with Robert being recommended to me by a friend. I usually would go to a salon, so this was my first time at a barber shop. Robert did a great job cutting my hair! He was friendly, easy to talk to, and most importantly, I was 100% satisfied with my haircut! The place is also very relaxing and not was I was expecting for a barber shop. I've had some bad haircuts in my life, but Ramon literally butchered my head beyond recognition. I asked him to fade the sides up from a 1.5 to a 3 and to scissor cut the top to about 1.25 inches (just long enough to part). He proceeded to take the clippers and straight shaved the sides all the way up! There is no fade at all, there is a solid line where the top meets the sides. I look like I just joined The Marines. I had to shave it all off when I got home, there was no saving this cut. read more

I'm sad to have to write such a poor review for this barbershop. I've been going to Mr. D's for more than a few years now, in part because the service was friendly and inexpensive. But now I will never return to the shop after my haircut was recently butchered. To start, Ramon turned me away from the mirror towards the TV so I couldn't see what he was doing. I had asked Ramon for a simple 5 on top and 3 on the sides, but ended up nearly bald with what must be a TWO all the way around my head. I'm extremely disappointed with this- past haircuts there have been seriously inconsistent in quality as well. To top it off, prices have been bumped up and Ramon was reluctant to give me change. Nothing ruins your week like a poor haircut, and this one was terrible. read more
