I really like this location! The guys that work here are very cool and always ready to give me a great haircut whenever I need it. I have been going to see Ely for a number of years. He's wonderful and always gives me a great haircut. My wife is a big fan of his work. Recently my work schedule changed, and I have to get haircuts on Saturdays now when Ely doesn't work. So, I found a new guy, Chicago Lenny, that does great work and tells great stories. He's funny and personable and has over 50 years of experience, so he knows what he's doing. Check out Mr. D's if you're looking for a great barbershop. read more

Ok , truth is both Dave (Mr.D) and Tiffany can cut hair with the best of them. However, Tiffany only works part-time, and Dave is usually running behind because of his pursuit of perfection. Seriously, Dave takes his time and you can expect to be in the chair 40-45 minutes. I have a busy schedule like a lot of people with families and full-time jobs. Therefore, I usually can't wait around for Dave and his overlapping appointments. Also, I prefer a barber shop that uses a straight razor to line you up. Although everyone is so nice, I only come here now and then when I have time to wait around. read more

Great barbers been coming here for a while you can walk in but I suggest you make appointment. Ask for Carol or Lee

Found this Barber shop when I was looking for one near the house. This is the second time i brought my son to get a haircut and he always like the end result. Carol is great and a sweet person to talk to. read more

Mr D's Barber Shop - Can always count on Ely to give the best haircuts. - Barbers Near Me - Henderson, Nevada

Carol and Lee are the best barbers ever. Lee specializes in military haircuts. Carol is great also. Highly recomended.

Dont try it. First time customer and had Lenny. Told him I was growing my hair out and I didnt want any length taken off. Only some weight off the sides with the thinning sheers. Lenny proceeded to cut off everything I've spent the last 3 months growing out. Gives the haircut he wants not what the customer asks for. read more

Made an appointment with Devin for 2pm. Arrived at 150pm and he was 20 mins late. Showed up like it wasn't even a big deal. He said he forgot we even spoke on the phone. I had called and made the appointment a few hours prior... Haircut was ok at best. I told him I wanted a skin fade and it wasn't as close to the skin as possible. He also left my sideburns instead of fading them into the fade. Overall not impressed at all and won't be coming back. read more

I think Yelp is BS quite honestly but I have an affinity for small business and the support of entrepreneurs. Mr. D's has been around for 15 years but version 2.0 with Wendy and cast is pretty good. I have had my cut done by Vern twice. The guy is good, quick and can entertain me while cutting, the results are always what I ask. When I want a barber cut Vern is my guy. If I am in a mood for a salon cut, my goto is Wendy. She provide minute touches and care you would find in a higher end salon. I have not hit up Rob but every time I go in he has a customer. Pretty positive overall if you ask me. My new mainstay after moving from back east and glad to share the positives as long as I don't have to wait for my next cuts! read more

Been coming here on and off for over a year. The new ownership/management has definitely changed the landscape of the place, and makes it look livelier! Ask for Robert read more

My husband went here 2 weeks ago to get a haircut. This is his first time here. When he came home, he was so upset and disappointed. Before his cut, he had asked the barber to just fade up the sides, leave the top, and even provided a photo of himself as a reference for the barber. During my husband's cut, the barber turned him away from the mirrors to face the TV. When it was done, my husband was upset that the barber took off too much from the top and could no longer slick back his hair because it was cut too short. He never asked him to trim the top, but he did anyway. It's sad to leave a less than good review, after all the good reviews here. So perhaps we caught this barber on an off day. So my husband will not be returning here again, because his expectations were not met. It was so bad, my husband went to a Supercuts and asked the stylist to just trim it all down really short. But she convinced him not to and had to fade his sides up better and gave my husband a side comb look to give his hair a chance to grow out long enough for a slick back again. If it wasn't for her, my husband would be wearing ball caps till his hair grew out again. Here's our advice, don't go on a Tuesday morning to see Ramon. You're better off buying a clipper and doing it yourself. read more

Following the advise of the first Yelper; I asked for Tiffany. She squeezed me right after I called. Walk-ins are welcome, but give a call before heading over. There is convenient parking (like the rest of Henderson) and quick access with the main cross roads. The decor of the place is pretty rockin. It is a oldschool golf and sea captain feel with a parrot in back for added ambiance. There is a flatscreen on the wall with travel channel or some other watchable entertainment while you get your cut. Tiffany is a gem with a beautiful smile and outgoing personality. She is great at her job and seems to truly like it. She is friendly and talkative, but not overly conversational. I was able to get a great scissor cut and a beard trim in about 20 minutes for $20. I walked out the door feeling and looking great. There are other stalls and barbers at Mr. D's, but I am confident that Tiffany will hook you up. read more

Just when I think I've gotten the best haircut of my life, I see Ely Bazan, Master Barber at Mr D's (646) 258-6600, and get another fantastic experience. This amazing man cuts hair the way a Michelin star chef creates dishes. His hands are perfectly confident, his eye for detail, superior. He always leaves me happy and feeling gorgeous. He specializes in fixing bad cuts but that's not all he does: he gives a fantastic experience to anyone who sits in his chair. He's the best I've seen in the last 30 years. If you're tired of the rest, treat yourself to the BEST!!! read more

I'm very picky about my haircut. After using other barbers/stylists in the area and even having to end up cutting it myself b/c nobody has been able to do exactly what I want. Again, super picky about my cut. A friend told me about Mr D's and honestly Ramon is fantastic and today is my 4th time using Mr D's barbershop. I couldn't be happier and the positivity that I practice comes full circle! I love these guys! The parrots too ;) read more

After a couple of bad haircut experiences, I found this place with Robert being recommended to me by a friend. I usually would go to a salon, so this was my first time at a barber shop. Robert did a great job cutting my hair! He was friendly, easy to talk to, and most importantly, I was 100% satisfied with my haircut! The place is also very relaxing and not was I was expecting for a barber shop. Between the nice little pond with a soothing waterfall, the parrots in a glass enclosure and the putting green, this seems like no ordinary barber shop! Thanks again Robert! read more

Ask for Ely. He has been cutting my hair for years. Great new location. Clean and comfortable. Ely does an awesome job.

One word: Ely! If you are anything like me, finding a Barber who takes the time to know how to cut your hair specifically, is a Barber you keep for life. Ely, is that person, Barber, he has the skills to cut your hair fast or slow pending your schedule, not based on the number of people waiting. Either way, no matter how he cuts your hair, it is always the same perfect outcome. For those customers who are waiting for a hair cut from Ely (which is never too long) , they don't mind because they know they will get the exact professionalism when it's their turn. Real Barbers are a dying breed, and I can attest Ely is a professional man of his trade, who obviously enjoys his line of profession. Ely takes the time to know you and will commit memory how you like your hair cut, without having to go over the same song and dance very visit. His experience and skills speak for themselves when he cuts my hair, because I am one of those people who has hair that gives inexperience barbers nightmares, a set of hair that swirls in every direction, cowlicks that go left and right, hair that leans up, down, left and right, in order words Chaotic hair. As for Mr. D's Barber Shop, it is a very clean, professional and spacious facility, not one of those overcrowded shops being held up by duck tape and potentially a health risk. I may be old school, (40 y.o.) but how a barber manages his shop speaks volumes on the type of barber cutting your hair. Mr. D's shop is located in a great location, right next door to a coffee cafe, and other venues. All in all, everyone at Mr. D's are professional and respectful, that being said, when you visit Mr. D's ask for Ely, as I can only speak to his experience and skills as a barber and service provider. Thank you Ely! Blessings. read more

Mr D's now has new ownership! We each just got haircuts from Wendy and she is GREAT! She makes 100% sure you are happy before you leave. The Prices are right. Go see her or the the barber soon...she is a pro at woman's as well as men's hair. BARBER SHOPS ARE NOT JUST FOR MEN ANYMORE! read more

Add me to the list of Tiffany fans. I'm hesitant to write a further review simply because I don't want too many people to find out about her, but that would just be selfish. I recently found out that my favorite Barber Ely transfered to Mr D's Barber shop. Ely has been cutting my hair for years and I refuse to see any other barber but him. I travel over 25 mins just to see him because he does such a great job and never rushes cutting my hair even if he has a ton of other customers waiting for him. Trust me when I say you will be very pleased if you go to this barber shop and make sure you ask for Ely!!! read more

Let's be real. Over the course of a lifetime most guys get a bunch of haircuts from a bunch of different people. I've only known two stylists/barbers that make the whole experience enjoyable. Tiffany is one of those people. You know the feeling. You just plop into the chair, sit back and know that you're going to get a great cut that leaves you feeling and looking great. Not like a metro great, but like a legitimate "I'm a man and my hair looks good" kind of great. Let me make this easy for you. ASK FOR TIFFANY. She's that good. And even though she is busy and in high demand, she always finds a way to squeeze me in when it's convenient. What more do you need to know? Go see Tiffany. Get a great haircut. Go home happy. read more

Great place. Great prices. Will be going back 100%. Took my little son there and he loved his hair cut too

I love Mr D's!! Mr Ramon has cut my husbands hair for the past year. And it's great! Thanks Mr. Ramon!!!!!!! Keep up the good work!

I've been getting my haircut from Rose Valencia for many years now. Always consistent and caring. Sure you can be a guinea pig and go to supercuts or some other amaturer barber shop and try your luck, but like gambling in Las Vegas you are bound to lose! Don't take the chance on your looks and for $15 its a tremendous deal! Tip heavy and tip often! You'll see Rose is quite a Rose! :-) read more

Great little shop! Loved the feel and got my beard fixed up. Ramon did a great job. Very reasonable pricing also.

I've had some bad haircuts in my life, but Ramon literally butchered my head beyond recognition. I asked him to fade the sides up from a 1.5 to a 3 and to scissor cut the top to about 1.25 inches (just long enough to part). He proceeded to take the clippers and straight shaved the sides all the way up! There is no fade at all, there is a solid line where the top meets the sides. I look like I just joined The Marines. I had to shave it all off when I got home, there was no saving this cut. read more

Very talented and nice barbers. I would recommend them to give you a a good cut better than the one across the street

Best cut in a long time. Ely is amazing! I got a bald fade and it looked airbrushed when he was done. Professional and classy, I look forward to my next cuts. Fyi, if it helps, I'm a Black man and I put Ely in my top three all-time. Facts. read more

Been to Mr D's several times; since the new ownership the place looks a lot swankier, the staff still friendly, good haircut, but still leaves feels like as a barber they fall a little short. No straight razor for the hard part No hot towel after the shave read more

I'm sad to have to write such a poor review for this barbershop. I've been going to Mr. D's for more than a few years now, in part because the service was friendly and inexpensive. But now I will never return to the shop after my haircut was recently butchered. To start, Ramon turned me away from the mirror towards the TV so I couldn't see what he was doing. I had asked Ramon for a simple 5 on top and 3 on the sides, but ended up nearly bald with what must be a TWO all the way around my head. I'm extremely disappointed with this- past haircuts there have been seriously inconsistent in quality as well. To top it off, prices have been bumped up and Ramon was reluctant to give me change. Nothing ruins your week like a poor haircut, and this one was terrible. read more
