I came to this barbershop for my first haircut in several months amidst this Covid crisis…read more Naturally, I was nervous because going to a different barber shop and essentially "cheating" on your barber is considered taboo. But I shook off that notion and just went for it. Tau was very welcoming when I first came in. Despite it being 8 in the morning, he showed absolutely no sign of tiredness and was eager to get me in the chair to do business. It was probably my longest haircut ever. I got a high-top fade. Tau made sure to be meticulous and take his time cutting my hair. He went over certain areas several times and always surveyed his progress to ensure he was satisfied with the final product. As a first time client, it made me feel good to know that there's barbers who genuinely care about their customers appearance and want them to feel empowered. During the haircut, Tau would occasionally ask questions and engage in a dialogue which made the haircut a lot more comfortable. You can tell he's had plenty of experience in this field. If you are in-between barber shops and are looking for someone to trust, please stop on by this location because Tau is absolutely the truth and he will get you right. You can't go wrong with this spot.

These tribal braids have three layers of singles in the back that allow for versatility with wearing my braids up in the back. I don't get my hair done nearly as often as I should and Jessica fixes me up every time. She colors and styles my hair in less than 2 hours and gives me impressive results. -- amazing because I have very thick curly hair. I am astonished at how long the style lasts me. It's like I don't have to come back in, but I want to to see her again and just shoot the breeze. She uses Abba shampoo and conditioner when she's done coloring my hair, it feels like a new head of hair. She is an absolute expert and couldn't recommend her more to friends and family. She is centrally located in mission valley and a joy to be around with incredible pricing to boot! *note: I can also attest to her incredible skill at wedding HAIR. Jessica did my dear friend Ave's wedding in March (it was pouring rain that day). She arrived perfectly on time as the whole bridal party ran late. She was incredibly patient while she did 8 people's hair in a record time. She made every girls hair look absolutely top notch beautiful, and she added a unique look for each brides maid. The bride's hair also looked flawless. Jessica must use miracle hairspray because our styles lasted throughout the wet and soggy day. I was astonished at how many compliments I had gotten on the color she had put in my hair (the day before) and how incredible her work is. We all looked amazing. Thank you, Jessica!
