I found Mr. Churro! If you're a fan of Disneyland churros, Loop churros, or like me just love a good churro in general, this place is definitely worth checking out. This is a family owned establishment with a machine dispenser of mix into the fryer. It's like a "mini show". The churros are fried as you ordered. The interior is simple with limited small tables along the wall -- nothing fancy. However, don't expect the same light, crispy texture you're used to. The churros here are denser and drier, which may not be for everyone. The nice owner/cashier did suggested pairing them with ice cream to balance out the dryness, and it does help! That being said, I want to try the churros as it without the added "toppings". I did take leftovers home and added a scope of plain vanilla ice cream and it was delicious! ^_^ (Yumminess for sure). My sis and I were craving for something sweet. I went to Yelp and found this churro shop. It was already after 6pm and there were a good amount of people inside. The store front is super cute and welcoming. Parking is not too great because it's in a little lot with limited space. My sister went in to get the churros. Let me just say it looked just okay and it was hard and cold by the time we got home. We live no more than 10 minutes from this place. The churros were harden and tasted like it was overcooked. I was disappointed because I really wanted churros. We won't be coming back unfortunately. Maybe it was just this one time. A little crunchy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. Each churro was perfectly coated in cinnamon and sugar. The nutella completed every bite and each bite made you want to go back for more. The ice cream was surprisingly very yellow, but other than that, it was just typical vanilla ice cream. Went perfect with the churros. Service was a little slow at first, but the girl behind the counter was nice and doing her best to hold down the fort while her coworker was on lunch/break. Oh Mr. Churro, what went wrong? This location is in a small strip mall. They offer churros, ice cream, and funnel cakes. The interior has six tables so you can sit and enjoy your treat. I decided to order the "Churros Premium" which consists of five made-to-order churros and a big ol' scoop of ice cream (choose from about a dozen flavors). I picked horchata as my ice cream flavor. You also get a sauce drizzled over your churros or on the side. I asked for chocolate on the side but somehow received lechera instead. Chocolate...Lechera...no, they don't sound the same. I like lechera so didn't make a fuss. The horchata ice cream just tasted like a weak vanilla ice cream. I was expecting at least a hint of cinnamon. I was also hoping for at least a hint of cinnamon on the churros but they were sprinkled with sugar only. The churros were crisp outside but a bit doughy inside and had an unappealing oily taste. They were more like what you'd expect to be sold by some toothless guy named Jim Bob in the carnival section of a county fair. I finished the ice cream but ended up tossing out half the churros.
