First, this company is NOT in Lititz, not even Lancaster County, so you will NOT be dealing with local community people as the website deceptively claims. Instead, you will be dealing with people from the Philadelphia are. Second, despite their seemingly good guarantee on parts and labor, this doesn't include installation of unnecessary parts that don't fix the problem. Third, they are much more expensive than genuinely local repair companies, charging big-city prices and fees. Our appliance did not work after the service call and they said that it must have other problems than the one they fixed. That could perhaps be true, but if they diagnosed multiple problems to begin with, the washing machine would not be worth fixing and we would not have wanted any repairs done. read more

1 yr old LG washer ($650) stopped working. Lowe's warranty ran out by a month. Called Mr. Appliance. $150 service call; called LG said it would be a month to get someone to look at it. And then we would have to wait to get whatever part would be needed. Mr. Appliance checked said the motor went bad. Had to go get one. Cost + install $455. While installing on next visit mentioned that the drain pump wasn't working, +$30 and he's only charge 1/2 on the service call of $75. Installed that and then noted the bracket that holds it was broken BUT he had one in the truck and replaced that for $30. Washer is back to running, at a total of $590. $459.00 + 27.95 taxes =Total of 487.49 for ice maker repair. Took 3 visits to get the ice maker to work properly (and I am not sure it is now working properly) but didn't want a fourth visit! Googled ice maker for my refrigator and discovered prices approximatley $100.00. Took repair person less than 15 minutes to install. I could have installed ice maker and wish I would have. I would NOT recommend!!! read more

Came to my house the same day I called for service. Analyzed problem quickly. Recommended replacement washing machine as opposed to spending almost the same amount to pay for parts and labor repair. I was quoted an estimate. And when I called to schedule the repair, I was told it would be almost double. I leave one star because the service technician (Carlos) was informative & professional. He informed me that the part I needed came in a kit of 4 & all should be replaced. The cost to repair & replace (AA1490) was $387.66. On the phone they changed the quote to over $600 & blamed the technician for not knowing he had to order each part individually. And, I guess the guy on the phone must be used to upsetting people, because he had a very indifferent demeanor; completely unphased by my issue with the unacceptable pricing ($600 to fix a 5 year old machine that just needs rebalancing) & questionable increase from the estimate I got in writing. Please don't let this people come to your house by giving you false hope that they will fix your appliances that they can't. The technician I had his name is Micheal, he came out and gave us a quote for a pipe replacement that has a gas leak and he said a he needs to order a new pipe and replace the pipe for the leak to stop but when he came to fix it he informed me that he was unable to untie the pipe and because of that he said he tie it very well and fixed it and it won't leak any more but I still have a leaked gas smell in my house and I reported it to the main office and he came out after 2 days to only tell me that he is not going to replace the pipe. The funny thing is he gave us a quote for pipe replacement that he said needs to happen for the leak to stop and I paid but now he is saying he is not going to do it. I don't even know how that makes sense to his mind after he get the payment for pipe replacement. This person is very unprofessional, unethical, very dishonest, impolite and very rude who doesn't care what happens to you or your property because of his failure to do the right thing. Excellent service! I could not be happier with the excellent service I received from Mr. Appliance. I have a 22 year old refrigerator and I did not want to buy a new one. Within 5 minutes, he diagnosed the issue. I needed a new defroster timer. He came back and replace the part within 10 minutes. All in all, he was her for 20 minutes and I have a full functional refrigerator for $300. Didn't have to buy a new one!! So happy! Highly recommend! read more

This company is one of the worst. They mis-diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator. I paid over $600. Same problem happened again 2 months later. Called them and they said I need another part. Another $300 plus. I disputed the charge and the company used my credit card information on file and went ahead charging me WITHOUT MY KNOWDLEDGE. BEWARE. RIP-OFF & Thieves---- After hearing the diagnoses on my fridge, I paid the $100.00 down payment and scheduled the repair. I then called and canceled not 20minutes later because I found the part online for one forth the price Mr. Appliance wanted. When I called to canceled, I learned that the "free estimate" actually cost me $79, Which is fine but I was promised a refund of the overage I paid, yeah.... I never received that back. Thiefs! I will NEVER recommend Mr appliance to ANYONE! EVER. I'm sorry but I was not impressed. I called to schedule service on my LG washer, which is giving me a "te" error code. A few hours after scheduling I received a call from the tech. He knew exactly what the error code was (and I did too from googling it) and what was causing it. Instead of wasting my time and coming out to my house and charging me $80, he told me over the phone that he knew this would be a $600-$800 repair job and that the problem would keep coming back. For this reason alone, I will absolutely call them for my next repair. Any other company would have come out to my house and taken my money. read more

So, this is without a doubt, the worst experience I have ever had with a repair company. Called to get information and the young woman who answered the phone was the only competent person I encountered through this entire process. Wanted my stackable dryer repaired. Clothes were hanging up in the edge of the drum and burning holes in clothing. She said no problem we can fix it. Even if your dryer is 12 years old. No problem. Make an appointment and the guy (who happens to own the franchise) shows up. Takes a look, tells me it will be 250.00 to fix it and he needs a deposit of $150.00 to order the part. Will be in the shop in a few days and he will be back on Thursday morning at 8:30 AM. This was Monday. Thursday comes and he never shows up. Texts me that night at 8:30 PM, SAYS he will be there the next morning at 8:30 AM. Never shows up. Calls me at 1:30 that afternoon and says that he got tied up on his first appointment of the day and will be there at 3:00 PM. Ready to call it quits and get my money back. BUT I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Shows up after 4PM on Friday, spends 10 minutes and says that he needs another part and he will be back in the morning, Saturday, to finish the job. Later that evening, sends me a text that he has to leave town and go to New York for a family emergency and there us no one else to come and finish my still non-functioning dryer. Been doing laundry for 6 people at the laundromat for over a week. Monday morning comes and he calls to say he is on the way. This is Thanksgiving week.... Arrives, spends 20 minutes working, tells me that the dryer is fixed, however, the washer which is part of the stackable system is now broken. He asked if it was working when he got there....yes, it was working just fine. But now it won't start. Calls for back up; another guy shows up 20 minutes later and he can't figure out what happened either. So Mr. Business Owner tells me that he is very sorry, but he can't fix the WASHER. BUT, he will pay for someone else to fix it and not charge me any more for the dryer ( except for the $150.00 I have already paid). Or I can get $350.00 from him toward a new washer unit. Told him to let me see if I could get someone to fix it first. End result is that I couldn't get it fixed, called him back to have him contribute to the purchase of a new washer, which I bought. He told me he would only give me $250.00 instead of $350. Then he stopped taking my calls and I have never gotten a dime. AND THE DRYER IS EATING CLOTHES AGAIN. Liars! We had them come to check a problem we were having with our stove.The repair person was very nice, even though, he was very late. he said he had to order a part and that we just had to give half now and half when he came back to fix it. o.k. seemed fair and we did. Well, when he came back, the stove was working fine and he said well, no reason to fix it so he would tell the office to refund the money that we paid for the part. Well, two months and five phone calls later, no refund. The receptionist always says she will have the manager call. well the manager never calls.
