After obtaining three separate bids, we hired Carroll Custom Painting to repaint the exterior of…read moreour house (plus one interior room) after the Oct. '19 tornado. Carroll was one of the more reasonable bids, but, more importantly, we thought Chris' team would be the most meticulous and responsive. They just finished the work this past weekend (a few days earlier than estimated) and it could not have gone any better. The house looks amazing (better than it did when the builder painted it originally), the team was experienced and careful. They responded well to any questions and requests. They cleaned up well every night and at the end. This was a big job, picking this painter turned out to be a great decision. We would use them in the future and highly recommend them.

All in all, loved working with them for my first house ownership experience!

No because like the average contractor around town, you can only use them for one or two jobs before he gauges what he thinks you can spend and doubles it! I do feel like he takes pride in his work but I'm tired of trying to develop good relationships with contractors just for them take advantage in the end. Professionalism always falls short as well. Our first experience we had a written estimate emailed before the work began. The 2nd and 3rd experience, we were promised a written estimate and did not receive it but we took our chances based upon text responses.

I had about 1000 sq ft of ceiling painted and part of it was repaired. Texture was matched and looked perfect. I can barely tell there was a hole in my ceiling. Only reason why I didn't rate a 5/5 was because of dealing with Phil. He called out the shoddy paint job that was on there before. He claimed that he had attention to detail and that's what mattered; to not worry about it and that they would do better. So come around the time the job was done, they forgot to put a stain blocker on a stain they were painting over and his excuse was that no one is perfect and that they did their best. Definitely not someone that should be working there and making such statements, especially when customers are seeking perfection if not close to it when it comes to painting and repairs. If it wasn't for Brant, I definitely would of gone crazy. He worked with me and was understanding to the whole situation. He even took time off his own weekend to check up on the job. Over all, you should definitely move forward and give them a try. Even if the job goes south, you can trust that Brant will make sure you end up happy.

The second job was both interior and exterior. The exterior was the same exceptional service. The interior was also awesome but with a ton of more repairs needed and any issues found as we inspected they were quick to address. The quoting process was also super transparent and no surprises. I didn't bother getting other quotes because the first time I used them they were right inline with other quotes but the value was better because of the trim repairs. They use Sherman Williams paint so it's the highest quality. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for any other properties because they are honest and reliable.
