Having dealt with digestive issues for most of my life, finding little to no relief from conventional medicine, I finally decided to try something different, and I'm very glad that I did. While my symptoms had mostly become manageable over the past few decades, things had taken a decidedly different turn around the beginning of 2022, and while I was diagnosed as having SIBO, none of the medications (antibiotics, PPIs, antacids) I was given had much effect. Having done a bunch of medical tests that revealed nothing serious was wrong with me, and being quite frustrated, I looked elsewhere for relief. At the suggestion of a friend, I decided to try a nutrition/wellness specialist and randomly picked GetWellness Center off of the list in Yelp. I guess Diedre and her husband just looked like good people. I reached out via email, made an appointment, and when I arrived I was greeted warmly and the consult began. Several hours later I had a clearer picture of what I had been dealing with most of my life, and a real sense that Diedre cared about making me feel better. I think she said something along the lines of, "my friend, don't worry, I can fix this". And fix it she has. Her initial perceptions about what was going on with me were spot on, and have been confirmed by some follow-up testing she had me do (the hair analysis). While I am now taking what admittedly is a pretty good list of supplements and dietary aids, the way I feel cannot be denied. Sounds almost silly to say it but soon noticed I felt clearer, sharper, like a light fog had been lifted. My mood is better, my digestive issues have decreased by at least 90%, and my quality of life has definitely improved. I have to say that after the initial consult I came away a little overwhelmed with information, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a healthy dose of skepticism afterwards. However, I was willing to try it all, and one cannot argue with the results. So if you're sick and tired of feeling sick (and tired), I cannot recommend strongly enough that you give this place a chance to help. I set up an appt. for my friend & I to get a Colon Hydro Therapy, a Colonic. My friend had one previously through Get Wellness Center & felt so good after we decided to both go in, it was going to be my Christmas present to her. When we got there one of the owner's, Mike, told us that because I hadn't confirmed our appt.'s by texting him back they had given our appt.'s to other clients, ( there was absolutely nobody in there), & I said okay, no big deal, but in the door walks the other owner Deidre, takes my intake form, briefly looks it over & takes me back to have the procedure done. Mike is looking my friends intake form over & is talking to her about a gym they both had gone too. After I was out my friend had not gone in yet. By the way, still nobody had come in for an appt like Mike said they were, so that was a lie. While I was in having my procedure done Mike had come to the conclusion my friend should wait to have her procedure done because she was going to have an MRI the following week, ( what that has to do with a colonic I don't know, lol), but his business, his call. So, I said that I had planned on paying for my friend's colonic & could I pay for it now so she could come in at later date after her MRI, well you know the answer to that right? Of course I could prepay for it! Driving home my friend felt very uncomfortable sitting out in the lobby with Mike alone. She said she didn't think she wanted to go back there alone. She said Mike kept asking personal questions she was uncomfortable answering. I said okay I will ask for a refund of $300, ( yes, that's right, $300 per colonic), & my friend could go some where else. I called & called, finally got a hold of Deidre, I explained briefly that my friend couldn't come back for some reason & could I get a refund of $300 of the $660 they charged me for two colonic's. I didn't tell her my friend felt uncomfortable talking with her husband, I didn't want her to feel any kind of way about it, plus it wasn't my place to tell her. She said "yes" to a refund, but after she talked to Mike her husband about how much he had charged my friend while he talked to her. What? There was a charge for sitting in the lobby talking to my friend. Nothing was EVER mentioned about there being a charge for that to either one of us. They talked about her health for a minute, talked about a new office they are setting up in Placerville, talked about going to the same gym, but not an in depth conversation about her health, & surely no mention of a charge for it. So, Deidre said she'd call me the next day with the charges Mike charged for his time with my friend. Of course she didn't call & I had to call her back. I apologize this review is so long, I think it's important for people to know this. Deidre told me that she was going to give me $150 back of the $300 I prepaid her for my friend. Don't forget now they had charged me $660 for 2 colonics & I was only getting $150 of that back, she said because of the time her husband spent with my friend evaluating her, lol, he doesn't even have any degrees! So, all I'm saying is this...be careful going there, they overcharge you & don't refund your money. read more

I can not say enough good things about Deiredre and Coach Mike. They made me feel so comfortable and loved. I can tell that they just want me to get healthy and live my best life.
