Gary's work is very reasonable and high quality. He's self proclaimed as "old school" and doesn't use fancy tools for advertising and promotion hence the reason he's never showed up on social media. He's excellent at follow through, has a good sense of humor, and brings in highly skilled help including his son. He takes pride in his work and I'm happy to be his first review.

Extremely unreliable, poor quality of work, took over 6 months to get my basement completed, does not stick to commitments and the only time you hear from him like a Swiss clock is when it is time to collect the payment. I would not recommend this company to my enemy even if the company promises to pay you to get your basement finished. This company is a fraud, please stay away. Most of the work is done by subcontractors and those that showed up at my house complained about lack of payments to them on a timely manner due to which they did not show up on time. Terrible customer service, poor attention to detail, never responds to calls, has people come over for 1 day in 3 weeks and overall a very very frustrating experience. I read multiple reviews since on Yelp, Builderzoom and other review sites and have yet to find 1 positive review. There have been at least 6 customers that have contracted with this company that have not had their basements finished after over 6-7 months of contract initiation. He told me he doesn't do storm doors for the type of door I have and a patio door alone is too small of a job and he doesn't have the manpower. Didn't even ask when I needed it done to perhaps fit it in on a slow day. Money must grow on trees on Main St in Robbinsville! Very rude tone and seemed to have an attitude that he just didn't give a crap about a small job. Other door companies were more than willing to take the work. Based on this, I'll never try to hire Banner again and will go out of my way to tell others.

After 5 months, even the frame was not finished! He only send people to my house once a week, sometime didn't even show up in weeks. Knowing me almost going to sue him, he promised to get everything done within 2 months. Now 3 more months later, still, no major progress. Only frame and insulation was done after 8 full months! Now my basement has been like war zone for 8 months. I have decided to fire him. I will fight to get my money back. Oh, did I say the job quality was bad too? It often took inspector multiple times to pass one thing. Even the inspector in my town told me he could drive people crazy! So do yourself a favor, stay way from this contractor! BTW: A few reviews from other unhappy clients I found online: Company also known as CLJ Basement. I Hired this guy to finish the basement. It took almost one year to complete 80% of the work and remaining is still pending and I am hiring someone else to complete the work. Also they are very adamant, very difficult to approach. Do not hire these guys to finish the basement.... The owner is an unethical person. He over commits and does not deliver against his contractual commitment. Trust me, go with a more reputable contractor. He will string you along and not get the job done. The only thing he is good at is collecting a check from you. I'm filing a law suit for charges I incurred as well as filing a claim with the consumer affairs department to ensure his license gets revoked in the state of New Jersey. Totally agree. Their office staff is not helpful, the guy shows up for his payment like clockwork every month, but they are totally lax when it comes to actually coming to do the work. Every one I know who has hired CLJ Basement to do their work is unhappy with the amount of time it took - more than a year in many cases. Also, they file inadequate permits so you keep failing the permits. It's like a Ponzi scheme, take a person's money and never show up to do the job even if customer complains. When they finally do come, it's not even for a full day of work, maybe a few minutes or a few hours, that's it. Then they don't show up for a few months. Don't hire them, they have taken about 500 jobs and only 10-20 workers to do them.
