The place is full, but so full that you can't get seated without a reservation. Good sign as many other places are not so full. Says something about what the locals know. We had only the seafood and cannot comment about the meat dishes. The service was so fast the main dishes came out as fast as most places take to put appetizers in front of you! So one of the cultural mysteries have not figured out. How can a Belgian tell so surely that a shrimp is Belgian and not the "inferior" French and Dutch ones? Must be the shrimps that are bi-lingual are Belgian :) But I heard this comment tonight. The shrimps are quality Belgian ones and the tomates aux crevettes were stuffed with them. The vin blanc sauce for the moules was much richer than another well known place in town. The scampi elicited a "Oh that's good" from two people at the table. The frites get double thumbs up from my Belgian table mates. Double fried as they should be and crispy on the outside and hot and fresh on the inside. And the lotte? The sauce was awesome. Not having had much lotte before, I couldn't tell about the quality of the fish. The portions are Belgian normal. That means if you are used to gimongous American plates, you'll need to order appetizers, soup, and/or another round of fries. A couple of slices of bread were put in front of us soon after we were seated. Okay. But not much. The rest of the meal made up for it.
