I was fitted on a tuesday afternoon and the suits were ready for fitting #2 in a couple days. When I came back for the fitting the suits fit perfectly and they told me I could alter them however I wanted to. But they were sized perfectly and i didnt need to make any alterations. I am very particular about my clothing and Larry Rashmi and his family are very particular about doing excellent work and satisfying their customers. Look no further, you have found the best. As I walked through Tsim Sha Tsui, I was hassled and hustled by nearly a dozen different hawkers, trying to get me into their shops. "One day! Three Suits!" "Custom shirt for you!", but I knew better. No one can make a decent suit in that short a time. I brought my own fabrics from around the globe to Larry. He was able to work with some of them but not all. He made no excuses, but simply showed my wife and I why certain fabrics would not be appropriate for certain clothing pieces. He was very polite and had a wonderful sense of humor, all the while remaining extremely professional. We were in Hong Kong for two weeks. After our initial consultation and choosing some of Rashmi Custom Tailors fabrics to compliment my own, Larry called me back a few times to check for proper fit. I consider this important attention to detail. This made the shirts, vest and pasts fit perfectly. Then, Larry was very patient with me. He measured twice and cut once. The results are exquisite. I had a vest and pants made of pink corduroy and several custom shirts. All fit perfectly. I would only recommend Rashmi Custom Tailors to my friends and colleagues. So when I visited Hong Kong a number of years ago and saw the rows and rows of British style tailor shops, I was inspired. I was in Hong Kong (Kowloon) for less than a week, so it appeared to me to be impossible to get myself a handmade suit in that time. But lo and behold in Hong Kong it only took four days. And the price was hundreds of dollars less than in London. After a fussy fitting and a cup of tea I was in business. I chose a light grey single breasted pleated and cuffed classic suit, that smacked of a Caucasian colonialist in a hot and humid country; though I didn't realize it at the time. All I knew was that four days later I had a perfectly fitted handmade suit that lasted me for ten years. I only wish that I had bought six.

My husband was the one ordering the suit and we entered for an initial consultation. Discussed fabrics and style. Measured allllllll over. First fitting of suit was the next day. Few adjustments. I've come to that age in life where all my friends are starting to get married. It's like the opposite of the movie Wedding Crashers, where they have fun crashing weddings the day wedding season starts. I, on the other hand, feel the pressure of being in a relationship and unmarried. What I meant to say was I'm so happy for my friends... yea. Anyway, wedding season means suits, and a couple of them. Maybe it's just me but I'm never comfortable with people trying to sell me something, even if I want it! So being asked to enter every second tailor I pass makes me suspicious. I was going to enter, but then you asked me to enter and said you'd give me a discount. Oh boy, that makes me suspicious. I'm going to get a suit, but only from some one that doesn't want to sell it to me. The human psyche at its most moronic. Maybe it's just me. Luckily enough, while I was still a student, I happened to meet a lovely young lady whose family runs a tailoring shop. She never asked me to visit, or offered a discount which made me extremely eager to see the place. Remy Fashions is a small shop run by a man named Gary. He's obviously good at what he does because he sized me up the moment I stepped in the door. With an easy smile and measuring tape he confirmed my dimensions, and from there explained to me the different materials available, which ones for which climates, why I should have two buttons instead of three. Fashion things that I had no clue about. Two days later I returned for the first fitting. Gary wasn't there but his son was. The man was just as professional but slightly more convincing when it came to fashion tips, I suppose because his age was not far from mine! Another two days and I was able to pick up the final master piece, for a master piece it was, and still is. It's easy to feel like a VIP while being measured from head to toe for a suit that will only look good on you and Remy Fashions do it with precision and perfection. Since then I've returned to have another suit made... for another wedding... not mine.

Anyways, I do not know if it ever occurs to you but if I were a woman, I would definitely get qi pao. Qi pao, also as known as cheongsam, is a tradition Chinese dress for women in the old days which celebrate women's curves nicely as it is very nicely fitting. Compare this Chinese gown to the male version of cheongsam, the women's one definitely looks nicer and more stylish even in the twenty first century. But where can you find a place that makes quality qi pao? I came across one in Olympic. Royal Fashion opened in 2005 and it specializes in making women's traditional Chinese gown and also jewels. Since I do not know anything about jade or those jewels, I am not going to comment on that. However, the qi pao here looks very legit and some on display look really fashionable that is going to get everyone's' attention if you wear that to go to an event. I must say that this gown is very difficult to carry unless you have a nice bodyshape. This is very form fitting and very tight to say the least. So I salute to those who have the body and the guts to actually wear this in public. However, if they do manage to pull this off, qi pao is actually very flattering and very alluring for some guys still.
