What impressed me, was that he wasn't trying to be like a British atelier or traditional. The shop was more concerned about self expression and having fun (find the suit he made for Jon Hamm) . Endless linnings at your disposal, as well as styles. I ended up ordering a basic black suit, on purpose. But still ended up with some signature details: modern slim peak lapel, hand pick stitching on the lapel, and slight roped shoulders. . Details you really appreciate after you walk through a department store and realize those details are something you can only get when you order custom. It's a nice subtle flex without being obnoxious. The suit fit great, with the tailored custom shirts to match. I was so impressed I ended up ordering another one. This time decided to have a little more fun with color accents. When I got back from my trip, I did a deep dive and realized I barely scratched the surface of the options that were available. After I received the 2nd suit Navy with aqua blue accents and loved it (pictured in the review). I had to order a 3rd and "Let Roshan Cook". I ended up getting the light grey suit pictured in the review. Roshan consulted personally on this one, and since it was my 3rd suit I was down to try new things: gauntlet cuffs, contrast buttons, compact 3 roll 2 (Sam's Tailor exclusive), and double accent lapel button holes. The suit turned out amazing. These people make suits for celebrities and political figures from all over the world. Don't be afraid to go with their recommendations. Overall it was a great experience, Roshan really means what he says that he will always be available for your questions about suits and style advice. Shout out to Manu Melwani (Roshan's dad), Mira, Durgee, and the rest of the staff. I had a great experience with everyone I interacted with. As a long time yelper, I found Empire and their good reviews and decided to stop by their storefront off Mody on our first morning in HK. We were greeted by Nick who walked us through the different options and fabric choices. I have been in need of a navy suit for quite some time and I settled on a 3 piece suit. If you are going with a bespoke suit, you might as well get the complete package! I also ordered a pair of pants, a sport coat, and 3 custom shirts. Most places in the US tend to not have french cuffed shirts so it was nice for me to be able to get several custom ones made. Since we were in HK for a week we had several fittings. Nick, Andy, and their team during the first fitting made small but noticeable suggestions to my suit. Taking up the sleeves a small amount and adjusting the jacket even the smallest amount made a big difference to the look. I was impressed by their expertise and skill. I would suggest that you try on everything before you leave HK. On the day before we left, I decided to try one of the custom shirts that I had not tried on yet. It turned out that it was just a little smaller than the other two that were fine. Empire's tailor was able to let it out just a fraction of an inch and fixed the shirt in under an hour, so it was not a big deal. You are dealing with bespoke clothing, so it is a good idea to check the fit of everything. Working with Empire was a great experience and worth a stop for anyone looking for a perfect fitting suit.

In October 2025, I met Mark and his brother Azim again in San Francisco during their 2025 "tour," ordered two additional suits and two shirts (they no longer include three shirts in their package), and paid in full. I was supposed to receive the clothing in December 2025, or January 2026 at the latest. Seven months have now passed, and I have heard nothing. I have reached out repeatedly through their What's App number; written emails; and inquired through their online contact form. I have been completely ghosted. This is incredibly upsetting, but also very peculiar because their customer service with my first order was so outstanding. Since I literally cannot get them to respond, I will be obliged to contact my credit card company and lodge a fraud claim. This is all very unfortunate because I was happy to support their business, and I am completely mystified as to the lack of communication.

"Custom shirt for you!", but I knew better. No one can make a decent suit in that short a time. I brought my own fabrics from around the globe to Larry. He was able to work with some of them but not all. He made no excuses, but simply showed my wife and I why certain fabrics would not be appropriate for certain clothing pieces. He was very polite and had a wonderful sense of humor, all the while remaining extremely professional. We were in Hong Kong for two weeks. After our initial consultation and choosing some of Rashmi Custom Tailors fabrics to compliment my own, Larry called me back a few times to check for proper fit. I consider this important attention to detail. This made the shirts, vest and pasts fit perfectly. Then, Larry was very patient with me. He measured twice and cut once. The results are exquisite. I had a vest and pants made of pink corduroy and several custom shirts. All fit perfectly. I would only recommend Rashmi Custom Tailors to my friends and colleagues. It appears to have the same stuff and is marketed the same in the layout of the store, with the one exception that this store is all on one floor versus being on two floors in Hong Kong. Great clothes that are structured, timeless, a great price point and with the exception of anything made from merino wool (I dont buy merino wool, because I dont like how it can snag), all of the fabrics from COS have washed really well and retained their shape with little worry.
