Moxy Hotels are all about that industrial chic, and this one's no different. Check-in happens at the bar, which is deliberately quirky. The rooms? They're fine for a night or two, but don't bother scheduling in any time for unpacking--there's no wardrobe, so it's suitcase living all the way.
Breakfast was frankly odd. Food stations are set up at the back of the bar with only enough room for guests to take part in a single-file, one-way shuffle. This slows things down a lot, but the food is decent.
The real win here is the staff--super friendly and always helpful.
The location next to the Hydro means you're paying a premium for a small room, but it's expected. Parking is easy at the Hydro multistory, just make sure to validate your ticket at the Moxy for 50% off the overnight fee (£24 at the time of writing).
Overall, Moxy's great for a quick stay, especially if you're heading to an event nearby. read more
