I booked a reservation as there were 6 of us. We were seated right away and the server was great at the very start. Took all of our drink orders, apologized as they were taking a little longer than normal, (her words). She came back and took all of our food orders. She continued to check in on us as did other servers. Suddenly all of our food arrived at once with the assistance of a couple more servers all asking if we all needed anything. We were good and the food was great. Then we saw no one else the entire time. Our original server appeared once asked if we wanted another round of drinks or desserts. When we all said no, we never saw her again. Another server cleared the rest of the plates after we stopped her and asked. We asked her for the bill and she never returned as well. Finally we got up from the table and asked the hostess at the front for our bill. She said she had to track down our server. We waited and waited again. Went to Moxie's last night for dinner and had a great time! We were seated right away, and our server, Nicole, greeted us with waters and let us know about the drink specials. She was very polite, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. Our drinks arrived quickly, and Nicole helped me with my indecisiveness and recommended the beef dip and fries (which was very tasty). My boyfriend ordered the chicken madeira rigatoni and loved it as well. Also the atmosphere was nice and never felt too loud! Throughout the meal, Nicole checked in to make sure we were enjoying everything without ever feeling intrusive. Overall, the service and food were excellent, and we'll definitely be coming back soon. Two of us came in for lunch. I am a sucker for vindaloo and they had a beef vindaloo with rice and naan so I just had to order it. Sorry I didn't think to take a photo. It was fine but nothing spectacular, but it isn't an Indian restaurant so it was fine. It was tasty enough and I ate it all The restaurant was clean and the staff pleasant and friendly. Definitely a trendy place, hints of being a chain restaurant are obvious but not distracting. Seafood linguine was excellent, the salad options looked really good as well. Full steak and burger menu as well. They have their own proprietary beers, I didn't catch the full story, I assume they are contract brewed for the whole Moxie's chain. read more

This restaurant is horrible!!! We asked to be seated in the lounge so there wouldn't be children running around. They did but the temperature was sub zero. We asked our waitress if we could move to a table without a draft and she said it is cold everywhere. We asked for the manager who told us ( not nicely) that they keep it that cold on purpose for when it is full. It was after 7 pm and approx 1/3 full. We asked if she could turn up the heat a little and she said NO. She offered to move us to the dining room. I explained that we chose the lounge because no kids. At moxie's, I typically get the steak salad, which as always, was predictably good. Some reviews say that the lounge side music is too loud, but I didn't find it to be. They have expanded their vegetarian options which is nice! Miso ramen was pretty good. Not amazing but solid as usual.

Trendy decor, attractive wait staff. went in on a tuesday, they had half off wine and beer. So that was a pretty good deal. But the steak was not good. I ordered the steak oscar. My medium rare turned out to be more of a medium well. Desert (panna cotta) turned out to be pretty good. read more

The food here is wonderful! It is delicious and has a stylish presentation. The atmosphere is high-end and trendy. Personally, not a fan of the "attractive female hostess wearing skimpy all black attire" type places, but it does add a nice touch. Drinks are good. We went for an afternoon supper as our kids are little and were at daycare. We wanted to sit in the lounge because we can be adults. We were forced to sit in the first booth by a cold window facing the parking lot. It was windy in that booth! Our waitress was quick but dismissive. She brought the wrong drinks then argued with us. She asked how my food was I told her it was not what I expected and that my soup was cold. She left as if shed never heard me and didn't offer to replace it. My husband ordered the nachos it was all raw food and also unexpected. When I called the manager to tell him he did call back with a litany of excuses including a broken air conditioning unit at that table explaining why it was windy but there was nothing he could do about it. I told him stop seating people in the lounge it is intimidating and annoying. People like to pick their own seat. He said it was because that waitress needed more tables. What! The grouchy lady who jumped in and out of the door by my seat 15 times while we ate? The manager asked me to come back and prove he can do better but I don't know if I ever will. read more

Moxie's is excellent. I've been coming here since I was a kid and it has evolved with me. Came here for a late dinner last night, and although they were out of sirloin, I had the roast chicken and it was incredible. The Old Fashioned I had after my meal was among the best I've ever tasted, and our waitress was great. read more

We live near 8th Street and moxies is our go-to place. Great decor and atmosphere and they're one of the few places in town that has never overdone my medium-rare steaks. I've had a dish or two that wasn't very impressive but for the most part moxies is consistent. Never had a problem with any waitresses. Dessert is great, I'm a huge fan of the white chocolate brownie and the sticky toffee pudding is my girlfriends favorite desert in the city. Would recommend to anyone. read more
