The ambiance is really calm and beautiful. The food is okay although the service is quick. We just had the appetisers and they tasted okay. It is a nice place but an expensive place.

Nice location, with a menu almost completely different from the ones in Toronto?! Which was surprising! However, we got here on a Saturday night and we were literally THE ONLY table at the restaurant! No other customers at all were in either the main dining room or the lounge! Something i've never seen at a Moxie's! Especially in Toronto, where you'd wait at least 30/45 minutes to get a table on a weekday! Very strange! They even sent their waitresses home, and the bartender was by himself, he served us drinks and ran our food for us.. When asked how come it's dead like this, he said yes it's oddly strange.. In any case, the place was nice and clean, and service was very fast...DAHHH! Food was very deliciouss, good Moxie's! I hope they stay in business cuz they deserve to

Asian Chopped Salad with dressing on the side
    Tania L.

Came here last night for a late second dinner with a school club. Since it was a later dinner for me, I did some research beforehand to see what would be the healthier options that I could order, and settled on the Asian Chopped Salad, with dressing on the side. I was originally skeptical at the price point, questioning whether a salad with nappa cabbage and chicken would warrant the $17.75 price. However, when it arrived, I was blown away by the portion size. There was an unbelievable amount of healthy vegetables (nappa cabbage, shredded carrots, cucumbers, celery, red peppers, edamame, and some cilantro). The waitress had warned me beforehand that there would be a strong cilantro flavour, but I found there to be none at all. The dressing was very tasty, but I barely touched it by the end. It was overly salty, and I'm so glad I had asked for it on the side! I can't imagine how people can get it on their salad. My friend, who ordered the potstickers, likewise complained that her order was too salty. I guess sodium is a major issue in chains like these... The chicken, although good, was similarly salty. That being said, the flavoring level was perfect, and I thoroughly enjoyed each chicken piece. In fact, I saved them all for the end, promoting the waitress to ask if I was vegetarian, haha! Overall, a good salad, but nothing too impressive!

I give this place a 4-4.5 rating. I feel like I used to be a regular here. My friends and I would come for drinks, birthdays, bigger celebrations and just to have dinner and connect with one another. I moved away for a year and came back.. and it's quality has gone down a bit. They have nice elements SUCH AS: - Free mini dessert for your birthday - an upstairs little hall for about 50 people. The location is "free" and you just need to pay for the food and drinks.. etc. It's a nice space, semi open with view to the first floor and you are able to bring your own music... so yes, you can dance with your friends and loved ones. Meh/cons - parking isn't free - food quality is okay.. not terrible, but not 5 stars.

    Shrimp Linguine

Nice place and atmosphere. Real chill vibe and nice staff however the down fall would be the food Had the calamari, shrimp linguine and, steak and shrimp set. Calamari was not the best. Breading was soft. The garnish; the fried Serrano pepper and ginger were chewy and tasteless. Added a unpleasant rubbery texture. Shrimp linguine was very interesting. The pasta was salty and almost vinegary. Couldn't taste the tomato sauce at all. As the sauce seem to be watered down. The shrimp was cooked well. The lobster tail tasted like the grill it was cooked on. Burnt. The dish came with a side bread. Not sure if it was suppose to be garlic or buttered bread. But I do know it was chewy. Required a bit of a yank to rip the bread. Steak and shrimp set, steak was cooked to medium rare just like asked. Quite a chewy cut of meat. A bit salty. Shrimp was cooked nicely. Potato side was ok. Plating was plain and boring Had drinks there Pineapple soda and strawberry Margarita. Tasted like what I wanted. I liked both drinks. A nice refreshing carbonated pineapple drink that came in a large glass. Strawberry margarita was made with tequila. It was good. Ps: ate everything because I grew up not to waste my food. Even if I disliked it. I hope the quality of the food can improve.

    Steak sandwich

The steak sandwich was surprisingly very good! Everyone else around the table also seemed to have enjoyed their food (e.g., lettuce wrap, burger, salad, apps). The service however was below average. The waitress looked overwhelmed and unsure of what she was doing the entire time. It took 15 minutes just to get a glass of water (she seemed very annoyed when we reminded her for water).

I came here for my friend's birthday the other day and had an A-OK time. As a college student the place wasn't my vibe. You can definitely find more older individuals here, especially around dinner time. I ordered the Lobster Tail Liguine and my friend got a steak sirloin. We both thought the food was decent, service was a bit slow, and that this is somewhere we probably only might come back once or twice in the next two years of undergrad. I think this might actually be a nice date spot for an anniversary or group reunion tho and that you should come here at least once while your in London :) Pros: Interior is nice Server is already ready to help Wide menu of drinks + food Cons: Food is slow Not really worth the $$$

Went down there on Feb 29/24, lights off, doors locked, no 'back' entrance that I could see. I called their number, it went to a MITEL ANSWERING SYSTEM, and am still awaiting a callback. Today (Mar 1/24) I called their Toronto Queen and Hamilton numbers. All went to MITEL ANSWERING SYSTEM. Still no callback from ANY location. Am I really excluded from the LGBT community, or have they moved, or what?

I don't know if the DJ was the same but the music was awesome both of the times, keep the good work!!! The staff is friendly; the bartender told me Rye and ginger is the most drank combination, so when in Canada do as they, just watch out, tastes smoothly but hits you hard, well maybe after the 4th. This second time a guy had the amazing touch of sending me a drink (thank you!!). This time I arrived too early, people started showing up around 11:30. A bizarre anecdote: a lady approached me, booty bumped me, asked where I was from and left. A cool thing: while dancing a luchador appeared with lights in the shoes. For a moment I felt I was dancing in Playa del Carmen. I'll be back!!

Stone-chiselled steps lead you down to this wonderful room with warm tones and stone walls adding to the ambiance and character of the building. There are dining tables and a piano near the bar, and a private dining room close by, but the nicest feature (to me) is the dining room that's built out from the main structure, sitting right over the Grand River and Elora Gorge. Gorgeous! Get it? JK and I dropped in for lunch on one of our crawls. We chose a table closest to the Tooth of Time (see photo) and waterfall just on the other side of the floor to ceiling windows. We actually switched tables shortly after because the sunlight was so bright. The view of the gorge was just as impressive. We were wandering around the St. Jacobs Farmers Market earlier, munching on stuff, so we weren't too hungry. The lunch menu had quite a few things that sounded good but we decided to share an order of the Glazed Thatcher Farms Pork Belly (braised cabbage, roasted squash purée, wild mushrooms). The presentation was beautiful and it tasted really good! It was cooked perfectly - tender, moist, flavourful. Excellent dish. Their cocktail menu had a lot of interesting concoctions but we chose water and coffee. I know, it sounds boring but we still had a few stops planned on our long way home - all breweries. Yes, I was thinking responsibly! I'll have to come back to sample more of their menu. Our server was recommending their desserts. Next time. I may just have to plan a stay at the hotel so I can go through their cocktail menu. Highly recommended.
