Giving Moxie a 5 star rating was not a difficult decision at all. Ever since this studio opened, I have been addicted to their spin and fusion classes. Stephanie and Amanda are so knowledgeable and encouraging. They will push you to your limits while encouraging you all the way. The atmosphere at Moxie can't be beat; from the music playing during spin and fusion, to the close-knit community of moxie-goers, to the instructors, everything just works. It has always been difficult for me to find exercise classes I feel comfortable with, with groups of people and instructors that I feel comfortable with, while also knowing that I am going to be pushed way beyond my comfort zone. I'm lucky to have found it here. I always tell Stephanie and Amanda that I come to class to get my booty kicked, and I have never been disappointed. The sense of accomplishment I feel after completing one of the fun, yet rigorous classes, is addictive and I'm always looking forward to the next class. Keep it up, Moxie! read more

When I discovered there wasn't a fitness center at our vacation rental, I scrambled to find a place to get a good workout. I'm so glad I came across Moxie! For starters, the studio is beautiful. You can't help but feel serene even though you're working hard and sweating profusely. Amanda, the co-founder and instructor, was extremely welcoming and walked me through the layout of the class before we began. I took the fusion class which was a perfect combination of strength-training and cardio. I loved the small class size as it allowed Amanda to give everyone a bit of personal attention, but I have a feeling she would have done the same had the class been larger. I've been to many boutique gyms in Chicago and wish they all could have been as inviting as Moxie. Can't wait to come back- hopefully on this trip! read more

I discovered MOXIE last year when visiting my parents' winter home for the first time and could not wait to get back for some more great workouts during my visit this year! As a certified Spin instructor and fitness enthusiast, I'd say I'm probably a little more critical than the average person and here's my opinion for what it's worth...the studio is beautiful and welcoming, and the instructors are TOP NOTCH...skilled, motivating, welcoming, passionate, and dedicated to helping you be your BEST YOU!! Moxie is hands down the best place to workout on the Gulf Coast. Moving from Vegas where there are hundreds of studios and gyms to choose from, I found myself disappointed with the options I found in gulf shores/Foley/orange beach... until I found Moxie! They go above and beyond to make every class challenging, fun, and just making you want to come back for more! Now when I'm out of town in big cities with lots of work out options, I really just miss my Moxie Fusion classes so much! I have never been big on group fitness classes until I tried Moxie. As soon as you walk into the studio the smiling, friendly vibes make you feel right at home and welcome. I have taken the Barre, Fusion and Spin classes and love them all. I have never been pushed from a trainer the way that Amanda and Stephanie push and motivate. They relate to clients on all different fitness levels and make sure you are pushed to your limits while enjoying upbeat music and entertainment by the instructor. Moxie is a great fitness studio! It has several different classes to choose from...all are great and effective. Spin class,barre,fusion,yoga and row classes all offer their own unique workout. I came to the gulf shores with my family for the week and my sister and I knew we needed to keep our work out streak going. We got the $45 unlimited for the week and worked out so hard! We did spin, barre and fusion and got our butt kicked all week! Loved the class, Moxie Ride!! It was a spin class with great music, an arm weight circuit in the middle and an ab blast at the end. The ride was challenging and fun!! Love, love, love Moxie! I have done the barre intensity, fusion, and spin classes and love all of them! The classes are super challenging but also so much fun. I enjoy the energy and the upbeat music. I burn more calories in these classes then I ever have doing group exercise. I highly recommend these classes to everyone!!!! read more
