There's not really any small engine options on the Island; lots of Googling and Yelping led me to…read moreGill's. After experiencing their service, I'm not sure why their stars aren't higher; but, you can't please everyone and sometimes shops do get swamped. They hooked me up with a 3rd party to pickup and drop off my zero turn which is a great service for working folks. Sharpened blades, leveled deck, and did a tune up (hard start). It was a 1 week turn around, and to my surprise, when returned, also had a bag of my old parts. This is a great practice, like a magician rolling up their sleeves. It says, "Here are all of the parts we took off and changed out", i.e. there's no question they changed them. When I got it back, it fired up after turning over once. Additionally, the bill was reasonable. I will continue to take my small engine machines to Gills as long as they're open and continue to do good and honest work.

When I purchased my home a few years back, I was so excited to mow my own lawn. I went and spent a…read morelot of money on all my lawn care needs. After that first summer, my enthusiasm slowly dwindled away. I started paying a lawn care company, but it never looked as good as when I did it myself. So, I decided to do it myself again this year. My almost new lawn mower had sat so long, it needed some tuning up. I search online and found this company. I brought my lawn mower over and was told it just needed a little tune up and carburetor and air filter needed cleaning. His prices were reasonable and my mower was done the next day. Ryan, the owner of the business was straight forward and had excellent customer service. No up sell or anything. Their specialty is small engine repair. I'll definitely come back when I have small engine repair needs.

He was very quick in being able to diagnose the problem and was very knowledgeable about these items in general.Unfortunately for me, the lawn mower was dead and no longer worth the repair cost. I appreciated his efficiency, knowledge and candor. I wouldn't hesitate to bring any other equipment to him to repair. Also, I know that there have been other negative reviews.
