I was sold a self propel mower for $280 that was fit to use for the season, just bring back for a…read moretuneup before storage. It started to eat the drive belts two months into owning it and I sent it in for repair. They said "your belt is shot", and going to cost $250 to fix. When I went to collect my now very heavy push mower I was told they don't really "do" self propel. My FIL is looking at it now and found that the oil wasn't changed before it was sold, and there's a nut caulked to the deck being used as a spacer, which is likely what caused the arm resting on it to break. I don't think they did that, but I'm sure they knew when they tuned it up that it was like that. I won't be back.

The owner had the defective parts attached to the lawn mower, explaining what failed on each part. He went on to tell me that there was 25% off any work done in December or January. It is very hard getting an answer on the phone but every time I drive by he is in the shop working.

Noah let me check out the tools and crack open a box to make sure everything looked good and wasn't missing any parts. The rotary tool(Dremel as most of us call them) was missing a few pieces from kit so he knocked a little off the price. The oscillating tool was new in the box and had no apparent issues, got it home and it seems to work just fine. The rotary tool turns on and doesn't appear to have any damage! We had previously purchased a washer and dryer as well(not on this trip though) Great price for some new/mostly new tools!

He said he would do a "tune up" and the cost would be $140. When I picked it up, he had run drywall screw into the top of the air filter housing to stop the choke from closing all the way. (To compensate for a dirty carb that he did not address). So for $140, I got a new spark plug, he did not even change the air filter because I had recently done that, and he sharpened the blade. I used the mower a couple of times and it was still surging and down on power. I called him back and his reply was it was outside the 30 day warranty. I took it to Southside Hardware on 6401 Hampton 314-351-0204 and explained my situation to Steve. He stated he would remove the carb and thoroughly clean it, which is the root cause of the surge.

We had an issue with this company which is a company we have used for years and have always paid on…read moretime and in full every month. I told them once, and again yesterday, that their employees were using a weed whacker to cut our lawn. Now, our yard is a small city-sized yard but not small enough to necessitate using a weed whacker. In fact before we starting using them we always used a lawn mower. Our issue was that when they use a weed whacker it doesn't cut the lawn fully and within a few days it was back to the length it was when they "cut it" with the weed whacker. They also, consistently moved bins around to get in our back gate and never put them back. Today I received a response to my last complaint and the response was , "...moving forward please find a new lawn service." Again, we are long-time customers and paid timely and in full and this is the way they correct this issue. Not by correcting their problem and make long-time customers happy but to basically drop them. This is a very, very poor way to handle a business. We are very dissatisfied.
