They do have a lot of stock that needs to be put away as it was sitting on pallets towards the back of the store, so you couldn't access the shelves with product they were sitting in front of. I'm not sure If they are short staffed, but I'll have to come back at a later date to see if I'm able to find anything worth buying.

OK Hatchery is the closest one to me located in Kirkwood. There's always a friendly cat near the door and entrance to the store who is happy to greet you. The interior reminds me of a lot of older feed stores I remember visiting growing up with barrels of seed and various products piled up high for patrons to scour through. The staff here are always friendly and helpful, and when you purchase large bags of feed they have an employee bring it out front to your car, which is incredibly helpful and courteous of them. I'll be sticking with OK Hatchery for all my chicken needs! Thank you!

The overall service is great, especially when buying soil or compost--you purchase that at checkout and they'll bring it right out to your car in their parking lot. Their variety of plants is wonderful; I could spend hours wandering through the different sections. As a newbie gardener, I had a little bit of sticker shock on some items, but I feel confident paying what might be a little more than at big box stores for the quality of plants/supplies and service.

It was about to rain, so I didn't have a chance to explore too much. HOWEVER, I'll be back to dig around in the dirt, so to speak. Their annuals were on sale -- so I got some great deals to supplement the plants I've already killed halfway through the summer. LOL The staff were super helpful in assisting me to take the plants to my car and provide a box to carry everything in. She was chatty and friendly. She also commiserated about my insane squirrel problem -- she agreed with me how pesky they are. However, none of these things are unduly influencing this review -- no quid pro quo here for a good review. She had no idea I'm a Yelper. :) The only drawback - and it's not a huge deal - is that the parking lot is smaller. If it was full, it might be difficult to maneuver in. The lot entrance also sneaks up on you. Look for the road sign by their mailbox! When I go back, I'll try to capture some photos and more details. This place should be fun to keep checking into, adding to my little apartment flower garden! I love my little container garden. Unfortunately, so do those dang squirrels.

It was a hard hit on my credit and she had just had me apply for another card. I rarely go to At Home, maybe once or twice a year, so I would not have opened up another card.
