Want to pass on my experience and you choose if you wish to take a chance with these people. My…read moreriding mower started bucking like it wasn't getting enough gas. Called and spoke with Douglas who came to my house. He took apart the carburetor and found he couldn't clean it out entirely and it needed to be replaced. He gave me the information on Amazon and I ordered a new kit which turned out to be a cheap Chinese product. Texted him back a few days later and he didn't reply because he does not answer texts as I found out later. I called him a week after and he said he would send out his son. Brandon came out and replaced the carburetor. When it was done it was idling higher than normal. It made put-put sounds like an outboard motor and actually backfired once. Brandon told me he had to go abruptly and said to call him the following day as he would return. He said the valves were the problem and quoted me additional costs. I called him the following day and he gave me a time period later that day when he would call me back and let me know when he would be coming out. He never called. I texted him asking to make and appointment and he never responded. The only thing they did right was cashing my checks. I called my old mobile repair person. He gave me a list of what they did wrong from ordering an inferior carburetor to how it was not properly installed and or adjusted. After retiring, I am always trying to save a buck and it was my fault for having faith in these two "persons." I should have seen it coming that when dealing with Douglas and his attitude. What kind of people take an elderly person's money and not complete the job nor even return a call and texts? I should have gone with my old mobile mechanic as it is a professional and veteran owned business. Trying to save myself some money cost me more in the end.

Never showed back up with parts after I went ahead and paid them in advance (my mistake) and provided a very generous tip.

My mother had a warranty issue with her lawnmower through lowes and this was the place they arranged to have it worked on. It was suppose to be picked up last week on 2 seperate occasions and Jeff called to cancel the pickup, literally minutes before he was suppose to be there. The reason was he, and I quote, "doesn't do pickups on cold, rainy, or frigid days and he would need to reschedule". Then it was a scheduling conflict that cancelled the second appointment minutes before he was suppose to arrive . He then told her he would be picking it up today at 10:30. Lowes called to tell her at 10:25 that he had called to inform them that he wouldn't be able to pick it up or do the repair at all. He hadn't informed them that he had already missed 2 other appointments as well. Lowes will hopefully ending their use of them for warranty issues. So for a week you strung along a customer, made them sit around and plan around your missed appointments, only to not show up at all and not have the decency to call yourself. Jeff your a coward and a liar and I hope this message reaches as many potential customers as it can. Please share this and keep other people from having to deal with this place.

The clerk who I spoke to obviously has a chip on her shoulder . I called to inquire about a repair made by them due to a issue my blower had and the warranty on the HUSQVARNA had directed me to this repair shop. A year ago I got the blower fixed because it just stopped working. After doing some research it seems that there's a pattern with these blowers . I stated that to the clerk and the 360 she made was very noticeable after she implied that I was upset which I wasn't and thought I accused her of bad service which I didn't. But she was very offended at the fact that I had more knowledge of these blowers and all I wanted was for them to look at it for a $30 service which I agreed to pay . The call began smoothly until she was challenged and got very defensive for no reason. To make matters worse she hung up on me .This not the kind of place I would trust getting my equipment repaired. If you having a bad day then don't come in to work because it compromises the companies reputation. I never write reviews and once they see this one they'll know who they dealt with on said day. It's unfortunate because I really liked they're prices and thought they were professional. So places don't value the people who put food on they're table and it's unfortunate we live in a world filled of egomaniacs. Never go her again, and I hope you the reader think twice about going there , you might just be the next victim.

I then dropped off one older but running lawnmower that sputtered (adjust carburetor?) Asked them to check it. Charged me for Parts(?), Labor, Shop Supplies, Gas & Oil totaling $53. Do not recommend.

My husband's…read morebiggest pet peeve is to be lied to and he caught Taylor Forbes lying to him not once but SEVERAL times. Every business has off days, but instead of lying to keep covering up things and getting defensive when questions are asked, just be honest to the consumer. Lying gets you nowhere. After 3 weeks of having the lawnmower and getting a call on Friday that it was fixed, Hugh picked it up, brought it home and unloaded it off the trailer for the PTO not to turn on. Hugh took it back up there this morning to address the issue and the person told him it was checked by the service tech and was working Friday so they would not be looking at it again to see what was wrong with it. Hugh asked the guy some questions in which the service techs reply was, "man, why are you digging?" Then the repair guy told him to take the lawnmower and go! Another small business that saw Hugh's post reached out to Hugh and helped him repair the lawnmower over the phone. We once took and bought everything to service our equipment from there to support local. They told him he burned a bridge. Say what? How did we burn a bridge by bringing business to you and back once we realized it was still broken? No sir, you all burned a bridge for lack of customer service and not standing behind the work that was previously done. There is no way the lawnmower was tested by the service tech and working properly by what was found and fixed by a phone call. If I could sell this lawnmower back to them, I would. We are just one measly prior customer of theirs but we won't be stepping foot back in there ever again. If you all go there, I hope you all get treated with a lot more respect than my husband got today. Hugh asked that the manager/owner please call him and so far it's been radio silence.

If you are interested in a piece of used equipment be sure to check it out for yourself or have someone else not affiliated with Taylor Forbes , I truly wish my experience had been a better one, I generally give people a second chance, however Nate Carter chose not to sell to me anymore. The local Farmville market and used equipment market is currently a seller's market and the Carter's prominent members of that community , no loss for them.
