Atmosphere: Bergen Bar & Grill is a smaller restaurant that's first come first serve -- no reservations. You put your name and phone number on a notebook and they call you when your table is ready. Depending on the time you arrive, it can be a longer wait. However, they have a lovely patio where you can wait for your table OR you can hang out in your car. They do serve drinks on the patio which is a nice touch! One other thing to note, they are cash/check only. No credit cards so plan accordingly. Overall, I highly highly recommend Bergen Bar & Grill! I'll still rate Bergen at 5 because it is a great steak dinner choice. However, their more conventional Lunch might not be worth the journey out here for some folks. We did have a nice time out here. Service was neighborhood friendly and efficient, while Gayle's steak sandwich and my German Patty Melt were very tasty. We both chose Onion Rings as our side, which always taste great going down, but sometimes linger afterwards. Their bar choices continue to improve, while Bergen remains Cash or Check only.
